Considering the limited ammo, I think the best setup is to have a dedicated pilot. All 4 players bring the mech. So that's 8 mech. But only the pilot sits and drives it. So you will always have a mech up. The pilot in turn will only bring support weapons for the others. So the rest can max out on air strikes and orbitals.

@@scurvybill yeah thats how I use them, in the large maps I use them for the longer objectives, and they are extremely useful in the small maps like eradicate and civilian rescue. I assume the APC and the Jeep are going to be S tier for the large maps.

As a HD1 vet, it feels so familiar to the first game's mech. They translated it into 3rd person so well! And no, you can't reload. That's the trade off, or there would be no point in using anything else. You gotta choose what to use ammo on, or let your team handle the smaller stuff while the mech tackles harder targets.

Can confirm from playing HD1, as that fiend that brought 4 mechs to a mission. It genuinely surprised me to see people saying mechs needed buffs- the fact chargers bumping into your mech no longer causes them to explode is a huge upgrade. Playing as fire support for teammates doing objectives netted a consistent 500+ kills per-mission.

I was there when we liberated Tien Kwan! But then the Servers collapsed and I lost my Super Samples, Medals and the XP's. But I was still able to play two Missions with the Exosuit. It has limited ammo and I haven't figured out yet if you can refill it. I also thought it would be a stratagem you can buy and then customize. Put some Rockets, Minigun, Lasergun, Flamethrower, Shotgun etc. on!

I love the constant distrust of turrets friendly firing throughout the video right before standing so confidently in range of the deadliest turret of them all lmao. For those who dont know, the Tesla not only has a deceivingly large AOE but if you want to avoid it you want to be on your belly. It's not a terrible strategy to lay prone under the turrets protection while you fight until its either done its job and you can break it/crawl out from under it or to wait until something like a Charger eventually takes it out. The biggest danger is when something like a BT or other equally scary threat comes your way and prone starts to become less of an option, to which I say fucking run, B U T kill the turret before you stand up to do so.

HD1 Mechs had launchers for stratagem beacons. So one could place turrets, call in eagle strikes, bombardments and mines. only reason to get out was to do objectives, repair the mech with the rep tool or switch to a new mech once ammo ran out. Being able to use stratagems while inside increased the staying power of the ammo.

Mechs need a self destruct mechanism with an ejection seat. I also think the evac ship needs to allow a mini game of manning the guns prior to lift off, where you can bonus up on kill count with the evac ship guns.

For mechs, it'll be neat if an upgrade option[s] were available, but they're a detriment to your team when destroyed. "Nuclear core"- Increase Speed of mech. When destroyed, it's a mini nuke explosion. "Hell Core" - Increase damage output. When destroyed, it's a hellbomb explosion. "OC-Core"[Over Clocked Core] - Increases armor/damage mitigation. When destroyed, a static wave is released and paralyzes any helldivers with a 10 to 15 meter radius of the destroyed mech. This is just a throwaway idea inspired by yours.

This game is amazing, and I love how they make the new game content a part of the lore. We didn't just get these mechs, we had to complete a mission as a community, and assault on a planet that we could have lost. The mechs are very powerful and I think the 10 mins cooldown is needed to stop one person calling in multiples for their teammates. Can't wait to try the mech out against the bots.

I've been LOVING this game since release. The mech's I've found are pretty great at taking a charger hit and stopping it in it's tracks. Earlier today when I was out of ammo in my mech I just stopped chargers for my team. Worked pretty well until I blew up lol.

Current Tactic I use is one mech on the field at a time, Everyone carries a mech call in but we only use one. When one runs out of ammo call next in. Only use the rockets for titans, or one shot on chargers legs then minigun the legs. This extends your rockets for the nasty stuff. And then only use the minigun to help crowd control when things get overrun. So far not had a single game where we don't have heavy support.

It’s beautiful because a load of videos have I’ve seen have been hekkdivers feeling underpowered, and this mech brings us back in the fight while not feeling too overpowered. I’m amazed at arrowheads ability to make such a fun game, in the brightest of lights when surely they could not have been prepared for this much attention. The community has been so fun, all my friends want to play. It’s only been a month for me but I swear I got my 40 dollars worth

Considering the limited ammo, I think the best setup is to have a dedicated pilot. All 4 players bring the mech. So that's 8 mech. But only the pilot sits and drives it. So you will always have a mech up. The pilot in turn will only bring support weapons for the others. So the rest can max out on air strikes and orbitals.
They're fairly slow, just bring them in for nasty objectives and leave em!
my opinion is your Flame Trooper carries it, as they are cover n CC anyway
@@scurvybill yeah thats how I use them, in the large maps I use them for the longer objectives, and they are extremely useful in the small maps like eradicate and civilian rescue. I assume the APC and the Jeep are going to be S tier for the large maps.

As a HD1 vet, it feels so familiar to the first game's mech. They translated it into 3rd person so well! And no, you can't reload. That's the trade off, or there would be no point in using anything else. You gotta choose what to use ammo on, or let your team handle the smaller stuff while the mech tackles harder targets.
Can confirm from playing HD1, as that fiend that brought 4 mechs to a mission. It genuinely surprised me to see people saying mechs needed buffs- the fact chargers bumping into your mech no longer causes them to explode is a huge upgrade. Playing as fire support for teammates doing objectives netted a consistent 500+ kills per-mission.
The more I play this game the more I realize it's just a love child of Earth Defense Force and Starship Troopers. And that's all I ever wanted.

I was there when we liberated Tien Kwan! But then the Servers collapsed and I lost my Super Samples, Medals and the XP's. But I was still able to play two Missions with the Exosuit. It has limited ammo and I haven't figured out yet if you can refill it. I also thought it would be a stratagem you can buy and then customize. Put some Rockets, Minigun, Lasergun, Flamethrower, Shotgun etc. on!
Could be later, having a customizable strat mech would be SICK
That would be cool to customize! First game had three types: One with rockets and flamethrower, one with two anti-tank guns, and another with machine guns ❤

I love the constant distrust of turrets friendly firing throughout the video right before standing so confidently in range of the deadliest turret of them all lmao. For those who dont know, the Tesla not only has a deceivingly large AOE but if you want to avoid it you want to be on your belly. It's not a terrible strategy to lay prone under the turrets protection while you fight until its either done its job and you can break it/crawl out from under it or to wait until something like a Charger eventually takes it out. The biggest danger is when something like a BT or other equally scary threat comes your way and prone starts to become less of an option, to which I say fucking run, B U T kill the turret before you stand up to do so.

HD1 Mechs had launchers for stratagem beacons. So one could place turrets, call in eagle strikes, bombardments and mines. only reason to get out was to do objectives, repair the mech with the rep tool or switch to a new mech once ammo ran out. Being able to use stratagems while inside increased the staying power of the ammo.
Watching your videos comvinced me to buy this game and it is so much fun. I love the new Mechs aswell, they feel really heavy and deliever quite the right amount of "oomph".

Mechs need a self destruct mechanism with an ejection seat. I also think the evac ship needs to allow a mini game of manning the guns prior to lift off, where you can bonus up on kill count with the evac ship guns.
For mechs, it'll be neat if an upgrade option[s] were available, but they're a detriment to your team when destroyed. "Nuclear core"- Increase Speed of mech. When destroyed, it's a mini nuke explosion. "Hell Core" - Increase damage output. When destroyed, it's a hellbomb explosion. "OC-Core"[Over Clocked Core] - Increases armor/damage mitigation. When destroyed, a static wave is released and paralyzes any helldivers with a 10 to 15 meter radius of the destroyed mech. This is just a throwaway idea inspired by yours.

@@jimjr9143i think enemies will be buffed to increase difficulty since bile titans are nowhere close to boss enemies in hd1. I honestly expect loadout and support weapons will be buffed after a while, since rn there aren’t many options and I think they’re just fiddling with balance

The landscape in the last adventure reminded me of the coffee table book "Moon." A book of photos taken by the astronauts. All grey, until you pick out little patches of green, and you realize they're using color film. Just like what I saw here. Brilliant.

This Fkn game dude, I was trying to tell everybody how good it was going to be but everybody was blowing me off. It turned out better than I could have ever imagined though, what a win for gamers!
This game is amazing, and I love how they make the new game content a part of the lore. We didn't just get these mechs, we had to complete a mission as a community, and assault on a planet that we could have lost. The mechs are very powerful and I think the 10 mins cooldown is needed to stop one person calling in multiples for their teammates. Can't wait to try the mech out against the bots.

I've been LOVING this game since release. The mech's I've found are pretty great at taking a charger hit and stopping it in it's tracks. Earlier today when I was out of ammo in my mech I just stopped chargers for my team. Worked pretty well until I blew up lol.
when jack threw the tesla tower right next to the extract, i immediately knew what was about to happen. and even when it happened, i was still pissed off 😂

Current Tactic I use is one mech on the field at a time, Everyone carries a mech call in but we only use one. When one runs out of ammo call next in. Only use the rockets for titans, or one shot on chargers legs then minigun the legs. This extends your rockets for the nasty stuff. And then only use the minigun to help crowd control when things get overrun. So far not had a single game where we don't have heavy support.

It’s beautiful because a load of videos have I’ve seen have been hekkdivers feeling underpowered, and this mech brings us back in the fight while not feeling too overpowered. I’m amazed at arrowheads ability to make such a fun game, in the brightest of lights when surely they could not have been prepared for this much attention. The community has been so fun, all my friends want to play. It’s only been a month for me but I swear I got my 40 dollars worth
