A tip: Energy weapons overheat faster when used on hot planets like Erata. They become boosted on cold/winter planets. Keep spreading Democracy, Helldivers /salute

I'd love to see more incendiary weapons. Like a flamethrower guard dog, or the ability to change the fire mode on the current flamethrower stratagem - the regular flame stream and maybe a blue flame that does more damage but a tighter spread and used fuel quicker (for destroying bug holes and big bugs)

That Paradise Fire was no joke though. That year of fire in the Sierras was so bad that smoke had blown way down into SoCal. I'm about an hour's drive from LA and the smoke was horrible at the time. Lasted for days. Glad to see you made it out okay.

So in answer to the 'why these planets?' question: Originally these planets were basic resource settlements. When the Terminid uprising started, Super Earth command decided to establish a line of planets to halt the Terminid advance, by securing these planets and constructing the TCS on them. Essentially making the planets into a poison moat between Super Earth (and the inner colonies) and the core of the Bug infestation. When the Helldivers retook them and pushed forwards, the SEAF engineers came in to construct the system. The major order is a response to the sudden upwelling of bugs that wiped out the engineers and regular soldiers guarding them just before the TCS came online. In theory, once the TCS is fully operational, how the Terminids get to the planet won't matter, because they'll be Dead on Arrival to the gas. Because the bugs have a known and limited 'leap' range for spreading from planet to planet, these barrier planets will prevent the Terminids from advancing on Super Earth (and the valuable inner colonies) and allow the SEAF to push into the lost territory with a solid backstop in place in case of setbacks. (Like sudden Automaton attacks again, or a third front opening up in the war.) It's reasonable to assume that if it works, the Bugs will spread out to go around them, ala the Maginot line's lack of extending far enough.

Was playing last night on Hellmire and i must say it is by far the coolest and most cinematic planet weve gotten to play so far, even in space and dropping down its so insane looking. The fire tornados only made it better

@@KingJohnMichael Thanks to Arrowhead. They may be under Sony, but it's just as much a PC game as it is a PS game. It released simultaneously on both platforms. It runs and plays better on PC anyway. Kind of Ironic that the best "Playstation" game is actually multiplat.
@@P.W.R. Steam also has the majority of the playerbase funnily enough. Either way we gotta give massive props to sony aswell, without them they'd still be struggling to get/keep servers up

A tip: Energy weapons overheat faster when used on hot planets like Erata. They become boosted on cold/winter planets. Keep spreading Democracy, Helldivers /salute
I'm pretty sure it's just the cooldown timer that's affected by the heat/cold, not the speed of overheating.
@@LethalOwl it does say they'll overheat faster, but I've not seen anyone testing it yet?
@@omallezo If I get around to testing it and remember it, I might come back and let you know. In any case, just don't bring LAS weapons to hot planets in the first place and we'll all be fine.

So lore wise, super earth uses the bugs bile and blood as a very convenient fuel source for their FTL (Faster Than Light) drives in the super destroyers. Hope this helps ✌️

I'd love to see more incendiary weapons. Like a flamethrower guard dog, or the ability to change the fire mode on the current flamethrower stratagem - the regular flame stream and maybe a blue flame that does more damage but a tighter spread and used fuel quicker (for destroying bug holes and big bugs)
The hysteria if twisters merged into tornados would be fun.

I just low how they do events and updates in this game, from the un announced new terminid units to the now rumoured random blue beam shots thats rumoured to be from illuminates, God the game has so much to give and potential!

That Paradise Fire was no joke though. That year of fire in the Sierras was so bad that smoke had blown way down into SoCal. I'm about an hour's drive from LA and the smoke was horrible at the time. Lasted for days. Glad to see you made it out okay.
So in answer to the 'why these planets?' question: Originally these planets were basic resource settlements. When the Terminid uprising started, Super Earth command decided to establish a line of planets to halt the Terminid advance, by securing these planets and constructing the TCS on them. Essentially making the planets into a poison moat between Super Earth (and the inner colonies) and the core of the Bug infestation. When the Helldivers retook them and pushed forwards, the SEAF engineers came in to construct the system. The major order is a response to the sudden upwelling of bugs that wiped out the engineers and regular soldiers guarding them just before the TCS came online. In theory, once the TCS is fully operational, how the Terminids get to the planet won't matter, because they'll be Dead on Arrival to the gas. Because the bugs have a known and limited 'leap' range for spreading from planet to planet, these barrier planets will prevent the Terminids from advancing on Super Earth (and the valuable inner colonies) and allow the SEAF to push into the lost territory with a solid backstop in place in case of setbacks. (Like sudden Automaton attacks again, or a third front opening up in the war.) It's reasonable to assume that if it works, the Bugs will spread out to go around them, ala the Maginot line's lack of extending far enough.
