Today in Chicago, I had the pleasure to meet a young North Korean girl named Evelyn. 6 years ago, when she was 15 years Evelyn, she escaped North Korea with her mother for a better life. Both without passports, they spent 1 month traveling by foot across China, Laos and Thailand - where the South Korean government officially recognized her as a refugee and she was granted permission to migrate to the United States of America.
In this eye-opening interview, Evelyn tells me her escape story and how she has managed to integrate so well into American society. She lives all by herself and just bought her first car (with her hard-earned income!).

  • The sad thing is, not everyone is as lucky as Evelyn. Her family used a lot of money and bribery to escape, while some can’t even afford a bowl of rice… Evelyn’s story is still very inspiring!

    @liyuan2654@liyuan2654 Жыл бұрын
    • There's no guarantee bribery will always work, they took the same risk as anyone trying to escape and the border agents could've easily turned down their money and turned them in. The money just increased their odds slightly but it was still a huge risk.

    • LIFE ISNT EASY .... I don't want to force anything on yall but man I've had so many problems and the only true way to come out of them victorious is thru the Lord God Almighty... I know society makes everyone think being religious is for deluded people but please open your eyes it's not.. I plead to yall just say a prayer to God commit all your worries fears, regrets and deepest problems into his hands.. read the bible and keep praying to him in Jesus Name .. I promise you your life will change for the better I promise you I was pondering on suicide, I wanted to run away from home but I prayed to the Lord God and all of a sudden ..things started moving forward in my life.. I've done so many evil things in my past.. things that i think any other person would kill me for if they were God but God kept me alive and well I dont want to be seen as the deluded guy in the comment section but I'm literally pouring my heart out I thought my sins were too bad and that I will never succeed in my dreams.. but I forgot that in John 3:16 it says "For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life" Believe that Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins to be forgiven and to give us eternal life in heaven You may think I'm crazy but I'm begging just try this read the bible pray and watch yourself rise to heights you never expected Dont fall into the tricks of the world I'm begging I apologise for this being too long Imma try and send this out to loads of comments sections.. I hope this touched your soul.. if it did please like the message and comment let's make it togetherkzhead.info/sun/dNh7frh-cGKOY3DL/bejne.htmlttps://kzhead.info/sun/aa2ap9CJgn-bo6fL/bejne.htmlttps://kzhead.info/sun/iLqmpZF5o6Boi6c/bejne.html

So glad to see that she is doing well. In high school I thought she was this pretty and rich education-immigrant, I had no idea that she has went through such hell to get here and it was so much more than just a rich foreigner whose parents sent them over seas for a coveted American education. Goes to show you that you never know what somebody has went through, and to always be kind.

    • Whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ shall not perish but have everlasting life repent for the kingdom of God is at hand! Jesus will return and he will judge the living and the dead, the Bible says in romana 10:9 that whoever accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and believe he died for your sins you shall be saved

  • Such an amazing story. Her mother deserves a monument of motherhood. My mother and I escaped a violent father years ago and I know the struggle my mother had. It hurts like hell knowing what my mother went through. Still, her mother escaped a violent country, crossing multiple countries at night with a 15-year-old daughter. My brain can't even comprehend the struggle she experienced. What happened to her mother?

Thankful she arrive safely in country with much more freedom and she’s doing so well! What a great example she is sitting for other young people in the US!

      @shobuddy@shobuddy3 жыл бұрын
    • Tippy it depends where you are, if you live in rural, there would be some murderers that will shock the population, but if you live in a bigger area, it wouldn’t shock you, but their yearly murderers would, it all depends where you live, we don’t all live in the same city.
