Imagine carving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. • I was investing in cannabis from 2015 to December 2019. I then cashed out all my cannabis stocks and invested in real estate which is another segment I had about 15 years experience at that time. I have made much more money with the real estate. That said the biggest profit, ROI, I have ever made was in a CBD stock in 2018. I bought the stock for 0.32 cents a share and sold at $8.00 a share. One of those once in a decade opportunities but when you know you know. And I know for the foreseeable future real estate is what I will do best with. The cannabis market is suffering due to over taxation, over regulation and a lack of banking. And frankly, if your state/government doesn't support legal cannabis then they by default support the shady black market.

  • Per federal law: "While the vast majority of states have reformed cannabis laws, the federal government’s position has remained largely unchanged since the early 1970’s. Except in very rare circumstances, at the federal level, marijuana and marijuana products are illegal and subject to criminal law enforcement through the Drug Enforcement Agency, or DEA. Yet while the federal government continues to enforce marijuana prohibition, state governments regularly tax and regulate cannabis production and sales. Millions of Americans in over three dozen states access marijuana products despite federal law. This difference in approaches has created a huge number of challenges for consumers, regulators, law enforcement, and businesses. This won’t really change until federal law changes." Until the federal law changes, the weed business is ALL CASH ONLY. That is the caveat of the weed business. Its not secure in any form or fashion. Those who are looking to steal the cash will steal the product instead. Product is delivered by the different companies like WYLD, in addition, to sell in your state it has to be GROWN in your state. Just like everything else, there will be an over saturation of weed dispensaries across the states. Perfect example is the state of Oregon. There is literally a pot shop on every block, like in the city of Salem. However, in the state of Idaho, its illegal, but the traffic jams are HUGE. "Hotbox Farms is a big player in an economic boom that’s happened since Ontario allowed recreational pot shops in 2018. There are now twelve dispensaries in this small farming town once mostly known for inventing the tater tot. Ontario now sells more pot per capita than anywhere else in Oregon. The industry employs about 600 people. Many get health insurance and most - like their customers - appear to be commuting over here from Idaho." This piece is from 2016...Vice should do a follow -up and see what has happened.
