Meeting the FBI spy at a bar to confirm that anonymous are, in fact, anonymous, is brilliant.
Yeah that was pointless. Just not have got anything useful from that interview.
The only thing I got out of that is that governments don't like protests that they can't ignore
What I got from this is that Anonymous is the goverment.
They have to be in order to survive me

The problem with trying to pin down Anonymous is that it’s not REALLY an organized group. There is a core of high level hackers that interact with one another, but it’s closer to a movement than a singular organization.
a core ? are you even on the IRC rooms ? hackers are a very small part of most ops everyone has skills to offer in most ops. And as for the hacking most ops use well know vulnerabilities known as CVEs no real pentesting needs to be done in most cases. Moral to the story. The state will go to any length to continue it's self appointed right to carry out their daily vile activities and their corporate enablers.
Of course. The “law” exists for us only.
The crazy thing is that if you really think about it, the corporations the government protects doesn't even contribute in a meaningful way. They're all evading taxes, etc. So what am I missing? Seems like the government would tell corporations "good luck"
Its starts with a J and ends in ěŵs. They are ew looking too

Shawn Henry recommends legal avenues of cyber protesting. I've tried protesting a local smelter and raising awareness to the danger of toxic metal fumes and Ring, the doorbell camera company, took down my posts and wrote that their service was not to be used for political purposes. Public Health should never be political.
WOW that is ridiculous
what happened? did u use your doorbell footage and post it online?
Local AQMD requires 6 or more people during off hours to call before they will dispatch an inspector. A lighter than daytime crew, large area to cover and contributions to local politicians and school district prevent any meaningful investigation. Most offgassing is done after business hours. The smelter is directly adjacent to a junior high school. An indoor gymnasium was even constructed with donations from the foundry. The odor is strongly metallic and slightly chlorinated. I have canvassed the area and neighbors report the issue when asked, but not really motivated to call or too busy to notice. Complacency is what this company is depending on to continue operating.
@Player-pj9kt Specifically, no. My Ring cameras only cover the immediate area. I typically would post a notification when they offgassed and provided the phone number asking neighbors to report the foundry. That was enough to get my posts removed.
Everyone knows ring can only be used for their own corpo political purposes.

I used to be part of Anonymous while ago. We were a movement that was structured by a process, we were never an organisation. I still don't know anyone by names, we all used username, P2P channels, we had to collaborate on tasks that we believe they helped humanity in general and that was the only common thing. We voted on many things to avoid any bias in many decisions and that's pretty much it from my experience. I used to be part of operations in WikiLeaks about the Arab spring, the Israeli occupation, and US elections.
Thank you❤❤❤❤ you are being a voice for the voiceless and helping fight back against oppression

With the camera angles, those railroad tracks and that crossing, the fact Vice straight up gave his country of origin away (he said Canada, not me), it would be incredibly easy to pin Bio down. For a hacker he should probably know better. Makes me think Vice slapped a bandana on a kid and told him to start talking hacker.
I agree. I very much doubt the person interviewed in the end is the real Bio. And I don't think VICE intended for us to believe he was either. It's just a stylistic choice to have someone stand in and act out Bio's answers rather than going the classic route of darkening or blurring the shots.
The Canadian government doesn't give two shits about some skid with LOIC. Anonymous has been a complete joke ever since it was founded and doubly so in the last few years, no one cares enough to track him down.
It could be a text interview with the real Bio. Then VICE found an actor and replayed the conversation.

Man I wish they would go after the truly evil companies like insurance and credit bureaus.
They have done credit bureaus I believe, insurance companies have been regular hacked but likely would be a huge liability if they made a big public fuss. However, I'm aware of scammers blackmailing an elderly man running a financial business and they nearly wiped him out. Really sad... But that wasn't anonymous, just scammers. As an IT specialist, my honest best advice is to store as much private info in paper files offline. For voting, in person, paper ballots with purple thumb ink. Perfect security is impossible, especially if the software requires maintenance or logins that people often forget, so someone needs to gain access on a locked system, hence backdoors and keys for the IT specialists. So there's always a built in vulnerability besides any accidental ones. 😎👍

An "authorized protest" is not a protest, lol.
A DDoS attack doesn't necessarily crash a service, it simply floods it with noisy data so that the service cannot process legitimate data
So essentially it "crashes" the service, what you just described lol. Its in the name. Denial of service.
@@DoubleStandardGaming crashing implies it has stopped working completely. Overloading it through a ddos attack isn't strictly crashing it, it's just decreasingly the likelihood of authentic data being processed.
@@Entertainment-fi5tmthat is true, but at some point like if only 10% of the processed data is legitimate, and, or, its users have problems its a crash. Todays ddos attacks are more sophisticated tho, and so are the counter measures. Its an ongoing battle for both sides.

if youre in anonymous, you never tell anyone that youre in anonymous
Wrong. Nobody is in Anonymous, and everyone is in Anonymous. It's NOT a group with members. Some rando calls out something, enough people agree and pass it on, making the round until enough people capable of taking action get wind of it. "We are Anonymous" is a call to action more than anything. Now you're Anonymous, now you're not. That's why enforcement will never be able to "catch everyone". 15:08 Sabu single handedly set back social progress. By getting Jeremy caught.
If your car was stolen and the insurance company found out you didn't lock your doors and left the keys in the car. They would deny payment because in their eyes there was no crime. Same goes with security online. If you don't secure your online footprint then it's not a crime to get it. Also governments shouldn't be allowed to make things secret. It's become out of control how they put top secret on everything now.
The one thing all of these hackers have in common is being socially awkward. I’d be curious what kind of parents they all had, and how did their parents provide guidance to them. That or their parents were non-existent in their lives.
