People can say what they want about the metal community but I gotta tell ya, some of the nicest, spirited, loving, and empathetic individuals IN THIS WORLD are covered in tattoos, dressed in black, and fear no God. I lost my mom to cancer 13 years ago and so whenever I see somebody get a win and are able to walk away while giving cancer the middle finger - I will watch that all day long.

I'll never forget how pissed I was at him for being so sloppy drunk on stage that Chad Grey of HELLYEAH who was the 2nd band that night covered for him. It still sounded really good with Chad leading vocals, but man so many of us were furious because the whole vibe felt off after seeing Ivan come out sloppy drunk almost faceplanting into the concrete at the Covelli Center in Youngstown multiple times before being led off stage by Chad and Zoltan. He's definitely done a lot to redeem his image post-recovery.

I absolutely love the bad and songs, but I can't listen to them while I'm drinking or I go down a dark ass path. I know they're just songs, but not to those of us who lived it. Thanks Ivan and 5fdp

Sad that today I am happily/unhappily married to my 'Old Grumpy Bear' [LOL] he is Southern born raised man, Me however was born and raised in the North, so you have a Southern Hillbilly Married to a Yankee Chick, and trust this Chick, life with him has been filled with many learning curves, mostly for me, there are ways that I have that really don't jive with his, and that causes emotional frustrations for me and my Emotional Empathic abilities.
I lost my uncle to cancer, many years ago and it sucks. My neighbors daughter, beat cancer. She’s such a sweet heart.
@@The_MAD_Qyuber IWhen someone falls in the mosh pit you're supposed to pick them up, no?
Facts. I have to many tattoos to count, have dyed my hair black and I'm an atheist but I show everyone love and try to remain positive. Im sorry for your loss tho
@@KRGBxrd Hey, I hope you are well. There is, after all, a reason I love Manowar and other cheesy "Bro metal" bands. Let us be "Brothers of metal."
The people who look like they'd walk through hell and come out the other side with devil-heads wrapped around their waits in a belt, and hanging from their shoulders, are generally the nicest, most caring, of people you'll ever meet. It's the people in 3-piece suits, well-kept hair, and a perfect smile, that always end up being the worst representations of humanity.
Guys we cant keep doing stuff like this, people are gonna start to realize metalheads are kind and happy people
@Kylestahlbaum3109 LOL, exactly. Secret is getting out. LOL
we totally can. the other people are still gonna think that we arent.
Angry music for happy people
i understand the joke, but the secret has been out for a long time. Friends of mine work in security and they say that going to a metal festival is like a weekend off. They just stand around listening to music and have hardly any actualy work to do.
Only metalheads can be that way to each other metalheads FUCKING A!
My son rang the bell when he was 16 and that sound will forever bring tears to my eyes. Love and respect to FFDP, I've been a fan for years.

Son of a retired army 1st sergeant and can’t listen to this song with out tearing up!!! We need to stand up and support our veterans!!!! Take a minute or so outta our time take a veteran to eat and just talk to them!!!
I am a veteran and this song means a ton to me already for obvious reasons, but I also rang the bell myself 2 years ago. To say this was emotional to watch would be an understatement! Complete respect for FFDP and true happiness for Jesse!!
RESPECT! AND THANK YOU! 👊🤘

I am a 37 year old man and I went through one round of chemo (carboplatin) and it's one of the hardest things I have ever done. I could not imagine going through several rounds of that stuff people don't realize your are intentionally poisoning yourself. I feel so bad for kids fighting cancer it's no joke
Happy to hear your story turned positive and thank you for your service
Never forget when my dad rang his bell. He, my sisters and mother moved to PA a few weeks later. About a year following, he passed. I had to pick my older brother up from jail on the day of his passing. We were two hours too late to say goodbye. my brother is still a criminal and still on drugs. Sometimes, the world takes the wrong ones too soon.
I was already crying. And then he said "For all the veterans" and now I'm a blubbering mess. This is beautiful!
Ivan...is the real deal...he moved to Cheyenne Wyoming where I live..opened a gas station and gives all active and veterans ten percent off on there fuel...had a huge block party and also has a rehab house here .. our Mayer gave him the key to the city.... during Cheyenne Frontier Days....

Wasn't cancer, but the Monday before this show in York I was in surgery having blood clots taken out of both my lungs. Wednesday I was discharged, and Friday I fulfilled my promise to my 13 year old son to be in York for this concert. The band was awesome...watching my son rock his little butt off was fantastic!
That's awesome!
i had that cancer as a child and as i got older they came out with this make a wish now ring this bell i never got any of this but i got life became a police officer and saved many people i think i did ok and rock on i love this band

This is one of the absolute best tributes I have seen. This little man beat cancer and dedicated a song to the veterans! I am speechless. In tears! I have heard of Five Finger Death Touch, but have never listened to their music. I am a huge fan now!
Can’t believe how great of a guy Ivan is. He’s such an amazing performer. I’ve used 5FDP music to get through the hard times. I’m super proud of who he is as a person. I’m a 45 year old man with so many tears poured for this video. Congrats Jesse!!! Fuck Cancer!!!!

I don't understand how this band gets so much flack and hate. You don't see others bands doing things like this for their fans. Ivan truly cares about his fans. And I also love their undying support of the men and women of the armed forces. And kudos to Jesse for fighting the good fight and kicking cancer's butt!

Yep, I have his other show recorded where I left all the little kids in front of me, they got all the bracelets, bat and bunch of other stuff.
I agree, my favorite captured moment was when Ivan stopped a show cause a fan was having a seizure and she wasn't getting the proper care fast enough and no one was listening to him so he jumped off stage and helped her himself... Truly an amazing human being inside and out!!!
Not a huge fan of their music but damn if these guys aren’t some of the sweetest guys in the world

Exactly, but the fact that they are famous, and using there platform to help others. Nothing but respect
How cool was that? Getting up on stage with Ivan! So instead of an awful memory of his chemo now Jessie has this awesome memory of being on stage with Ivan and having a song dedicated to him as well! Now that is a fantastic memory to have and to say hey I beat CANCER!
My balls just burst when Jesse thanked the crowd. What an awesome little guy x Stay safe, little man, much love from the UK XXX

I'm not a fan of their music, and I'm now a fan of the band. Class act.

I am celebrating 6 years cancer free today. This is so meaningful.
I've never heard of any other big named bands who constantly and consistently go out of their way to reach out to fans with the only purpose being to give back to them. Many bands don't actually care about the fans, only the number of them that show up -_- but these guys literally reach out to fans that inspire THEM, not the other way around... so cool, so badass, and so is the whole metal community

Ivan has definitely been through some shit, and he's put some people through some shit.
