Homemade Mini Dumper 130cc

I used the materials I had in the workshop to build the wheelbarrow. I bought a used hydrostatic gearbox and a motor, the steering axle is removed from a damaged wheelchair. The transmission comes from lawn
mower tractor, and in my opinion it is the best base for building such a vehicle, it does not need a clutch, has a differential and a brake, everything results in much simpler construction. The engine also comes from a smaller mower only, it is a model honda gxv 140, it is sufficient to drive wheelbarrows, it does not lack power in different conditions. The construction was not without the problems and mistakes I made. The biggest mistake was the permanent welding of the steering axle, which made it completely impossible to drive on uneven terrain, every hole into which the rear wheel fell caused the front wheel to break away from the ground, because the box has a differential wheelbarrow stopped driving, I corrected the mistake by screwing the steering axle to the rear wheel hub from the Ford mondeo as you can see in the video. He's satisfied with the final result, but he's still not satisfied because I didn't make the automatic subversion that I had planned.

  • I want to hear the clang of metal, the buzz of the welder, the grind of the drill..... not that repetitive music... Please no music..... Awesome build

  • Now that was a really COOL build. Utilizing parts from a old riding mower, car hood latch, and steering from a old folks scooter was engenius. 👍👍 I followed every aspect of the build and was really pleased to see the outcome. Good job !

  • Seeing the hydrostatic control lever arrangement at the end... I think the push-bar arrangement on self propelled lawn mowers would be a perfect setup for that particular control. Maybe even using the squeeze-handle from one of those assemblies to tension/slack the drive belt so that the drive system loses power when it loses its driver.

  • Your build is amazing and, if I had a welder and shop I'd try to copy it. It looks -super- over built and heavy duty, at the dump end, and then I was a little disappointed we didn't get to see you fully build the steering! The truck spindle was a brilliant idea to form the pivot for the front suspension!! Very nice, overall!

  • This guy is a great fabricator, he needs to Pattin and market these well-built walks behind hand dump trucks it should last forever other than the motor mount, if you need to change it. One more thing i would have use a Briggs and Straten V- twin 22-24 horsepower as the dump is very heavy and a bigger motor would be better. The belt ten system seems to be in the wrong place. I have a 24-HP V-Twin with 850 hours on it's, yes, I always change to oil at 50 hours with a new filter with straight weight 10-40 oil in the summer. It's on my lawn mower Craftsmen 2009

  • Awesome build and I loved the fast paced edit. I would also enjoy the build noise a little more without the music. In the beauty shots and final usage shots it's fine, but welding, grinding and drilling sound better without it. I also confused with Made In Poland at first

  • A very nice and useful build! I built a similar mini dumper using my 46" zero-turn 23 HP mower for main propulsion, I used a wheelbarrow tub I bought at Menards for the hopper and fabricated a frame and pivot point for the tub. I can quickly remove install or remove the tub when need to mow the grass or vice versa in a few minutes and the tub stores conveniently hanging on the garage wall when not needed, saving space I don't have on the floor. I believe I will fabricate a hopper like yours since it's made much sturdier metal. I can pick maybe 1/4 of a tub load of loose materials just by pushing into the pile but it's hard on the light metal tub. Thanks for the new ideas! Also, I install 4 ply tires on the front casters I got at Tractor Supply just in case, plus I need new ones anyway.
