Making 14 Hp Brush Mower - using Lawn Mower parts
We will try to add a longer and more detailed test in the next video :)
Using parts from an old broken lawn mower, we decided to do something very useful.
Brush Mower It is very necessary for high and varied green areas. It can cut grass, weeds and even small trees or branches.
We used a 14 Hp engine and a hydrostatic gearbox for the drive.
Blades bought at a farm store for an orchard mower.

These no talking, no music, just the sound of work, are the absolute best to watch. In my opinion of course😊👌
My boss tells me I talk to much and than complains about a lack of communication.
It's another reason that I ( for one ) can watch his videos all the way through, without nodding off ::)
This new trend to have background music, for people talking, especially on a promotional Video is so annoying. Especially when it just repeats.
@@tedhardulak7698 It's a pity that some KZheadrs don't get the message, isn't it? ( what they DON'T GET is a subscription from me )

Love how you power tap all your threads while other KZhead people are snapping them turning by hand and are scared of them. You know your tools well!
Problem is that many of the things he taps only ends up with 1-2 threads holding the part on. Rule of thumb is the tapped material needs to be at least as thick as the fastener diameter. In many cases, such as the brake rotor hubs and many of the handlebar fasteners, the material tapped is thinner than the fastener, and would fail if torqued to the suggested torque needed to keep it tight. While I like how sturdy his builds in general are, I often see the fastener issue. Would be just as easy and stronger in the long run just to weld nuts on.
Wow nice build. As a retired service technician ,with a lot of SNAP ON and Mack tools ,you have bigger tools than me. I was a Mobile technician for 31 years . I Like your plasma cutter. Nice to see a good welder run a bead ,not the spot, spot, spot. Great engineering on it ,it looks better than a new John Deer,no rust on yours. You even put safety stickers on it. Hats off to you young man from Upstate New York 🇺🇸
❤
@joegilly1523, I believe we know each other from high school. Our sports teams were spartans. In 1973 we were 22-0 in varsity basketball. Does any of this sound familiar?
@@allswildmmi6228 You sound like a Main Endwell guy. I’m in Endwell . I was a JC GUY.42 Years ago. We won the Football Championship that year.
Can we all take a moment to acknowledge that this man bends sheet metal by hand, using a bench vise, and gets results that people hope for with their CNC press brakes?
I've worked with a few of these guys over the years. They are called model-makers!
If you open up the back part of the deck that encloses the blade and add a rubber flap it will handle cutting thick material alot better. it has no where to go after the blades cut it and it will put alot of extra load on the motor. Awesome build!
Agree. Except, I'd put it out the side. May be too dangerous out the back. Even with a flap. Good idea though.
We need a mower v2.0 built by him :D. I would love to watch.
@@lm4278how can you make this more dangerous?
@@wtchr6883 the OP said make an opening out the back side with a rubber flap. Could possibly fling something out the back at the operator. That's why i said to make an opening in the side. Directed away from the operator.
@@wtchr6883versions of brush mowers made in the 40’s-50’s only had a thin piece of plate on the back the rest was completely open.
Impressive build! You sure build things for strength!
What a great project! I'm constantly in awe of your precision with an angle grinder.
I watch so many channels of people mowing, and also ones of people building things. It's awesome to see the two brought together.
It's fascinating to see how all the bits and pieces come together, and the ingenuity in so many unexpected places.
Awesome build 👍🏻, one thing to keep in mind is to protect the bolts on the bottom of blade and shaft, my skid steer mower has the same style blades if there’s a rock and it gets hit by the bolts they get damaged, what I did was to make a cover from and old oxygen cylinder cap and welded it on, I cut it just a bit less then the cut height, now it works great as it can bounce over rocks and save the bolt heads.
the car is great. I look forward to having your car to work. Those are the most amazing things to see.
This is a war machine! 😁 Greetings to our Polish cousins from Czechia.
Nicely engineered. From this video, it is clear why the blueprint took so much effort. Lots of components to source and mesh together.
Hats off to you young man from Germany, well done!!!
The JOY of a well equipped workshop! .
I gotta say this guy is pretty handy in the shop
14 minutes of one video. Subscribed. I’m hooked on this channel now.
WOW! This is almost like a BCS tractor! Amazing design and build skills.
Im building a front end loader for a zero turn lawnmower .. I hope my build comes out half as nice as your builds are ..
Let us know when you post...That idea is going to be cool!
Yes I like this idea... I subbed just to see if you ever post a video. Would be a cool project..
The motor should be on the other detection so when you tip it up over things the oil doesn't go all to the cylinder head. Great work beautiful machine.
Excellent and unparalleled images ! The synthesis of the various processing steps is commendable. Compliments.
Nice build! You should consider making a sickle bar for your standup tractor.
yes yes yes yes yes!
22:30 Excellent design, excellent craftsmanship, excellent shop, and excellent tools. Very well done !!!
Now that's a man with some skill. That looks way better than a factory built mower
Bro is single-handedly keeping the socket head cap screw industry alive!
He makes it look like he's a "maker". But given his penchant for socket headed cap screws, I think he's secretly a machinists. Lol
Excellent
I think they are just more common here in Europe.

You are very talented what an amazing machine. Looks and works awesome
Of all projects that you have done this is by far my favorite!!!!! Fantastic job sir!!!!
WOW!! You build quite a nice mowing machine!! That really looks great and mows very well. Nice craftsmanship!!
I like this one; glad to see you bought the correct type of blades for it. In addition to the jungle wheel's on the back, you might want to consider a removable set of casters for the front for ease of transport over longer distances. Just a thought.😊😊😊
Most brush mowers do not use casters out front. Check out BillyGoat and BlueBird mowers :D Casters actually prevent easy operation when using for real brush, not long grass.
Great video!! What an excellent machine, very effective and looks great too. Your projects are always high quality and this one was particularly impressive. Hi from Australia!
I wish I lived close to this guy. I could watch him work all day
You are a very good KZheadr.
I already hit the Like button and am still in the intro commercial.
This gentleman is a craftsman of the highest order!
This guy is the real deal. Awesome work.❤
That project turned out amazing! Nice work
You guys are seriously geniuses with what you can make!
Well done, guys! Shows the world that craftmanship is still alive and well! Thank you and get patents on everything you do! Be Safe!
Bravo !
Very clean fabrication skills.
Bravo, absolutely awesome build, do you have any build plans/ parts lists, this is just the machine ive been looking to buy or hire, but to build my own that would be great love the channel keep up the great builds
brawo, jestem pod wrażeniem 👍
Impressive build. With the way you built the axle/drive system you could remove the deck for different attachments. A sickle blade or a snow blower. Nicely done!!
Liked that you could stand on the rear at the end, it works well! 👍💪✌
Well done mate probably as good if not better than most commercial mowers Cheers from Aus
Excellent work👌👍👍👍I'm from Russia. You great success.
Hi, great stuff, love the ride along idea hahaha. Many thanks from UK.
Power Tap Like A MACHINIST!! Makes Me Proud!!
This machine will outlive your grandkids.
Wow I’m impressed especially the way you didn’t build it before you ground the edges you knew it would work
Not a single drawing or plan in site yet every thing fits perfectly
Awsum Job Man !!! You forgot the coffee/stubby holder and a bar stool on the back axel / platform.....magic 😉😎
Nice, i think life is good in Poland
Amazing work, dude! It turned out fantastic! 😃 Meanwhile, some nylon screws I bought just arrived... 😂 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I swear every time I start to plan in my head to make something and then pop up your video on how to :D gr8 job
Awesome! I wish you were my neighbor. Always a pleasure to see what comes out of your shop. Take care
I’d rather have that bush hog, Than the most expensive one! Enjoy your videos from central Florida!
At first I thought you were making a battle bot 😂 you sir are highly skilled, thanks for the great videos
Sporo dobrze wykonanej pracy.
Absolutely beautiful!!! You are so talented!
Great job... love it. Love the parts break down, Blade p/n... thank you:)
That is an awesome grass cutter now I need one for my 6 ft grass thanks for sharing
Nice job. I've known a few older guys with that kind of talent born from necessity .
GREAT SKILL AND WORKMANSHIP. WELL DONE!!! COULD NOT STOP WATCHING
Brilliant workmanship
Oh yes! Plasma axe and welder a real blacksmithing job. :) I like your thinking...it's got to be simple and effective but also easy to maintain if need should be. Half a meter of weed and small trees seems not to be any problem for your machine. :)
Totaly ingenious, and an awesome buil and footage doing so. Been awhile since I have made time to watch, but a must shared build & video, Bear in TX-USA
well done! thanks for not playing jungle music
Moc pěkná práce 👍
thank god no music. awesome work.
Piękna maszyna, dużo pracy i super efekt. Pozdrowionka
Ciekawe jak trafi w kamień, jakie będą zniszczenia. Poza tym super maszyna.
I sure wish I was your neighbor,, you have all the great stuff to borrow... great work.. great projects.. what's next...?
He works one hell of a lot faster than I do. Go Man Go!
An absolutely amazing build, Not a dull min. and works great! You can build me one anytime now!!!
Excellent work 👍👍👍 . Thank you for sharing. Take care of yourself 🇨🇦
That is one impressive builder and builder!!!
again an excellent video and as always exquisite workmanship
He had a vision and he executed! Nice machine!
This guy's a real craftsman ! 😊

Fantastic job, as always!
Brilliant! Creative, Artistic and Useful!
Brilliant, didn't like you banging the centre of the front bearing when you installed it but BRILLIANT none the less.😁
Awesome video! Though I'm curious, why go this route and not make a 3 point/PTO brushhog for your tractor?
Jesteś mistrzuniem. Bardzo dobra robota💪
Wielki szacunek. Pozdrawiam
Ojj raczej celowalbym w setki godzin 😉 Na filmie nie widać wszystkiego, ale projektowanie, myślenie, usprawnianie, modyfikowanie i zwykła robota pochłaniają strasznie dużo czasu ;/
Not alot to say on upgrades because i watched till the end... Well done.
Skilled fabricator and designer.
Hi mister beautifully made you are a professional maker well done friend
Ficou excelente 😎
Great build extremely impressive
Outstanding build,Very nice!!!
Excellent travail BRAVO !!!
The customer that you built this for. Will be very happy. I would build bolt on mini crane on the welding table. To lift heavy parts on and off.🤔
Well made and is going to last for long time .
Guy makes better stuff than you can buy in the store.
Indeed. This is a step up from the Billy Goat, which is sorta the default "best in class" brush mower.
