On today's episode of Car Trek, AutoTempest challenged the guys to test out each other's cars and tally up everything wrong with them. Ed's Aston Martin V12 Vanquish needs more pre-flight checks than the space shuttle, Tyler's CL65AMG is perfect except for some very unusual issues, and Freddy has TOTALLY REDEEMED HIMSELF and brought the Maserati back to life. Unfortunately it's still as rough around the edges as it was. Then the guys get their cars appraised by John Ficarra, an experience none of them will ever forget...or want to remember.

Please let us know what you thought of the series. We certainly enjoyed making it and we really appreciate you taking the time to watch.
I really loved your ride.
It's great!
I liked it!
I think that the guys are developing rapport and inside jokes... keep it up and this will fill the void left by the aging gents of grand tour and old top gear! More please, this show is great!

Can't wait for Car Trek 3!
Was gonna say something similar.
This was awesome (even my wife enjoyed watching it). Thanks for doing this guys. You had really good on-screen chemistry it was great. Please do more!
Thy are good - especially Freddie - and they're better than the TG USA, but nobody gets close to Hammond, May & Clarkson.

OMG, "people that drive their Maserati like that, brag about the incredible deal they got with their wife's implants." I literally spit out my coffee laughing!!!
Leave it to Ed to marry the homecoming queen, get the best car deal, drive the Lambo, have the best jokes and somehow make 15k after "losing." Meanwhile the "not so super" car "wins" and a continental gt doesn't even show up in a series about depreciated gt cars (let's be honest it was a GT series.) I was thinking, the Maserati is dead, surely they will buy a Bentley now, and then an m6 shows up looking like it has the Frankenstein Maserati kit on it. This looked like fun even though there is so much wrong with this picture.

Ficarra was an excellent addition. John, LEMONS THAT MASERATI. It’s over budget but it won’t go a full weekend, will troll everyone and make people cry, but it’s already messed up, so it’s not hurting anyone.
Actually, track use is all it IS good at, and the thing will likely last as long as the weather isn't over 100F. It's a perfect Lemons car. Just. AS. IT. IS. :) Crappy stickers and goofy wing and all of that. Also, the picture of the AMG before the wrap with its perfect pearl with a little gold paint... I just loathe wraps. In an era at the time of Mercedes asking you which shade between black and white with tan thrown in as well, it literally was the ONLY color at the time that didn't suck, aside from the super rate to find emerald green on a few models.
I was rooting for Ed’s Aston, until Freddy compared his Maserati to a summer fling. Only thing I liked better about Car Trek 1, was they had to drive 1000+ miles, having to limp the cars the whole way. Can’t wait for CAR TREK 3

This is something to sink my teeth into during the New Year weekend. I hope you keep doing it. It looks as though you had shitloads of fun making it, and I'm having fun watching it. Well done guys. 4.5 stars from me.
Honestly--and I mean this as someone who watched every single series of the Clarkson/Hammond/May era of Top Gear--a few more of these under your belt, and I think you'll have yourselves a series I would watch just as enthusiastically as I used to watch Top Gear. Every series with multiple hosts takes a few seasons for a real, natural chemistry to develop that can be scripted, but doesn't feel scripted, so there are definitely points where it's like "Okay, yeah, they're clearly trying a little too hard for the Top Gear thing," but it's been infinitely more successful in just two CarTrek "specials" than the entirety of American Top Gear.
This show fills the void in my heart that opened when original Top Gear got cancelled. These three guys work well together, the challenges and troubles feel genuine, and I'm excited for more!
I agree. BBC Should make them an offer they can't refuse
I wonder if they could do an off-road version where they find off-roading vehicles and take them over various obstacles?
I would watch it. Do a same price as the new Bronco off road challenge like they did with the Corvette
That would be an awesome watch
If they did depreciated luxury SUV’s probably be a cayenne some form of Range Rover and a Q7 or Touareg w the v10 diesel and I feel in a world where SUV’s are everywhere and everybody has one it would be a fun few episodes for people to watch and probably destroy them off road
Just about time for depreciated luxury SUVs, the trend is just about 20 years old at this point. I bet Tyler will bring a real american battleship like Navigator or Escalade.
@@TheLaXandro I didn’t think of those SUV’s it would be certainly cool to see some American luxury vs European luxury in the form of SUV’s which I think American top gear did years ago

I look forward to this series...best automotive content out right now. The chemistry keeps getting better with each series...shades of Top Gear, which is definitely a positive. My one complaint, its over! Congratulations on another pearler of a series boys, and thanks Auto Tempest
The way the series is filmed looks way better then last series, almost topgear like. I absolutely love it great work guys!
Great series of videos gentlemen! I accidently spent a year in Vegas once (went out for a week, didn't come home for over 11 months...) and I LOVED Red Rock Canyon. It is one way, so no oncoming traffic. It is almost 14 miles long or about the same as the Nurburgring. And if you're the first person there when they open, it becomes your own personal race track. It should take about half an hour. I did it once in 12 minutes, and the dude at the gate did the math. "Hey..., WTF? DO NOT COME BACK TODAY." Luckily the next day it was someone else's morning shift!
That ending with the credits had a real Oceans 11 feel to me. With the whole gang standing at the fountain at the Bellagio
