In keeping with the "keen eye" theme - I agree that it was probably 1 TEXAS owner, given that all 3 vehicles have NTTA (North Texas Tollway Authority) TollTags located in almost identical spots and have Texas registration stickers (Ex: 18:31 & 21:44 & 23:51)
When Ed pulled up in the black countach it felt absolutely perfect. I mean He held the canonball record for quite a while and a black countach was in the iconic intro to the canonball 1976 movie.

If you pair Ed and Clarkson, Tavarish and May, and Tyler with Hammond, the dynamic should be unchanged. Have each team build a car from a particular budget. Team that makes it to the destination with the best time and the least breakdowns/faults wins. And to make it interesting, the budget is $20k per car, and the losing cars get auctioned for charity. The winning team must then decide who takes final ownership of the winning car by a game of chance. That's how I see the format if everyone happened to be on board.

Found a editing continuity error at 9:47 where Freddy is supposed to be in the Ferrari still while driving in traffic on the freeway but it’s clearly Tyler in the external shot but when it goes back to internal shot a moment after Tyler is in the R8 😂 Anyone else catch that or do I just have a keen eye for these things? I’m loving the series as always and that McClaren jump in Ep. 1 at Thunder-hill was amazing and probably a worlds first. The fact the car is still driving shows how much care went into putting that car back together. I don’t think a factory fresh car would have survived that Dukes of Hazard jump as well 👏 You definitely overdid it on the panel bond Freddy & you should probably say it was CGI somewhere in description so if you ever resell the car you get full value 😉

As much as I want to hate this channel, these guys have done an incredible job of finding their own. Entertaining, beautiful, and charming… well done lads. This was top-tier car entertainment.

A couple inside the car, one facing towards Freddy, another mounted at the rear of the seats to get Freddy and the dashboard etc in shot, and the other facing out the windshield. Plus they had another camera on the top of the rear engine cover facing backwards. I don't think it was a glitch that they all stopped recording at the same time. I think that part of the footage was omitted because the landing was a lot harder than they were letting on. There had to be some damage done to the underside and or suspension from that "excursion" off the track. It is very odd that none of the other footage is shown.

Anyway it was still a great video even with that fast one pulled on us. I'm sure it would be near impossible to find a genuine stranger that would be willing to swap cars like that. I really enjoy this series.

Actually living in Monterey and been around carweek and the people for my entire life I’d say Ed did the best on a sheer trust thing but the carrera gt is amazing that hoovie pulled that off, especially considering the 2 cars they traded. Freddie had the most even car swap regarding value and type of super cars involved
Lamborghini was the best. It take a great deal of time and money to get those webers running good and driving around with no issues. That was great.

Car Trek is what Car shows should be about. Friends enjoying time together bonding over cars and friendly competition. It takes me back to my high school days cruising the strip and and hanging out at the local ice cream shop dreaming about muscle cars and great road trips. Now I can afford the cars but finding the time to bond with my friends is the obstacle.
