The Exodus Tour was a concert tour organised to support the album Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers.
The tour began at the Pavillon de Paris, Porte de Pantin in Paris, France, on tuesday 10 May 1977, and involuntarily ended with four shows at the Rainbow Theatre in London in early June; actually there were six shows planned to be performed in London, but the last two shows had been cancelled due to Marley's serious toe injury he received in a football friendly game with French journalists just before the tour's start in Paris. Subsequently, the tour's second leg in the United States had first been postponed and then definitely cancelled. The last show of the tour has been released on VHS and DVD, labeled Live! at the Rainbow and now rereleased in HD quality, with improved sound, missing song (Burnin' and Lootin') and its raw, uncut glory. It is reported that all four shows have been recorded and taped on video.
Uploaded to Reggae Box since original video is unlisted and hard to find.

    • The king is salasi. Pur uncle bob The messenger became the message and knowing the experience he endured behind every song he wrote is beyond me. So many lessons and prophesies. Here's 2 of them, I believe this is for that Elaine musk guy, trying to fly to space. 1979 Bob says, sailing on his ego trip, blast off on his space ship, a million Miles from reality, no care for u no care for me. 2nd prophesy is from ambush in the night. He was vulnerable at this time, he seemed tired and wanted change in Jamaica. He left to fulfill his dreams after being shot, by this time, the impact he made became majestic. That's what make uncle Bob a true heart felt human being, his ability to be vulnerable and without judges His belief in the message, and his guidance the one and only Kung salasi. Father Jah Raste.

  • When I was about 14 I was up late at home and the TV was on, I came walking into the lounge room and I saw this scene of Bob Marley from this concert singing Get Up Stand/Exodus... I just stood there mesmorized. I'd never seen a musician perform like this... It wasn't like anything I'd ever seen before... The thing that I noticed was he wasn't performing... He was preaching, and beyond that, he was channeling something deeply profound. In a world of shallow music and people obsessed with appearance and materialism - this music, his lyrics and his energy instantly stopped me in my tracks and shifted my perspective on life in a deep way.

    • I've got a new appreciation for Bob Marley. I grew up always having his music as a part of the soundtrack of my life, especially being black and from the Caribbean . His music hits differently though now that I'm older and wiser and having seen the movie. Bob was great. And he was so humble. A very deep positive individual with a very deep positive message. This concert is older than I am, and it feels so recent. It's on repeat these past days.

  • Bob was a singing prophet and a wonderful human being who only wanted humanity to be good to itself and accept we all come from the same creator...he is greatly missed and as long as we remember him, his music and his message we can all be good to each other and try to end the endless oppression that governments who only care about themselves impose and create the divides between people of difference races. It is the governments who are evil creating divides they have no right to.

Our tour guide when we visited in 2021 grew up with Bob Marley and said they had issues just getting and keeping shoes to wear as children. They came a mighty long way to give an incredible gift to the world. I'll be forever grateful.

Given that Cancer purposely. He scared them. He was too powerful. Too Good. And, the bad ones, the evil ones, Babylon, couldn’t allow him to keep spreading the word, the truth, the good, the light. I believe that guy’s deathbed confession that he gave him the shoes with the injection in them. And, I’m also sorry to tell you that you can kill Bob, but you can never kill his impact, his message of peace & good over evil, unity, love & beauty. They think that they stopped him, but they are oh so wrong. Thank you Bob, Peter, and Bunny. You showed me in my early teens what Life is really all about. Music, Peace, and Love. Rest is Peace Prophet Marley 🙏
