Love It WatchMojo.
Please where can I watch the one love movie? As I'm in Nigeria and can't come over to the theater in Jamaica 🙏
Can we get top 20 Bob Marley songs since the movie came out?
I remembered how my dad was so addicted to Bob marley songs and gradually the addiction was transfered to me. "one good thing about music when it hits you , you feel no pains". His songs are timeless and I can't wait to go see the movie
Same with me 😂
watching it tomorrow night can't wait
Same with me oo
It is amazing! I remember when his body was being brought through the island. The streets were lined with people, even in the tree's. They wanted to see, they couldn't believe that he was gone. He gave them hope for a better tomorrow. May you continue to rest in peace.
No way. My dad is a hardcore Bob Marley fan.
Watched 1 love and couldn't stop crying. Loved the part where Rita tell's him, you are no longer the messenger you are the message. Loved this movie. RIP Bob Marley. Jah Rastafari!
Glad you loved it.They picked up the story from 1976 b ut let me tell you it is far more better that this one. It was not authentic is the best i can use to describe it. and sorry Rita was not the inspiration as she or they have made in this film. if you want to know some real stories check me as It is my father who mentored bob. Put it this way there would be no bob and rita even without him, Bongo Gabbie Natty Dread. KZhead NORMAN STEPHENSON CHANNEL
Funnily enough a speck of dust got in to my eye at that part also haha
What about the lightning strike the stadium was that in there?
Me too. I felt so sad for him
I just came home from watching this movie at the movie theater and i had tears in my eyes when she said that part too. I teared up a few times during that movie.
I just saw this movie last night. It was beautiful. The guy that played Bob nailed it.
lol whut ?
😂.. Ahh, debatable.. he tried.
Real Talk- Great Movie! Respect To Bob Marley😎😎😎✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
I appreciate his faithfulness to the most High. Bob never strayed left or right. He did the work on a daily basis, changed lives, and stayed on his purpose. That’s inspirational. He let God use him.
Wasn’t faithful to his wife…
@@awesomeness8206neither was she to him and the marriage was a marriage of convenience to help her out, movie won’t tell u that because the producer is her son.
If you are a true Bob Marley fan you already know the FACTS! I enjoy watching WatchMojo!
True, there are no spoilers here. Also, Bob is still with us
'Marley 2012' is by far the best 2 hour+ film (doc) of him in my opinion, period.
exactly. one of my favorite docs ever and got to see that in theaters. i'll be supporting "One Love" but dont think anything can top the doc
1000% agree
Doc and movie are to different things. Docu is always best to watch.
That’s a documentary. This is more a entertainment movie
Kony 2012 was better
Growing up a young tyke in Trinidad & Tobago in the '70s, we listened to more Reggae and "Rockers" back then than any other genre of music. Bob Marley was, by far, our biggest inspiration. My friends and I, we would sit down and play his records all day and have in-depth discussions (as in-depth as our immature minds would allow) about the meaning of all of his songs. He and that band together was the greatest thing to have come out of the Caribbean and still is. They played some really awesome music. The news of his death is an experience I will never, ever forget...or stop mourning. I really miss Bob. The world misses Bob.
Trini I feel ya🎉
Much love, brotherman
As a kid in 70s in England, my first insight into the Caribbean was THAT West Indian cricket team. And then seeing Viv Richards with that sweat band on. Thinking all is beautiful in that region, it was the Messenger that actually taught me about the struggles through his music. Kinda reminded me of the Partition in India when the British vacated.
Love from Trini 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
Beautiful 😊
The movie is how his family wanted it to be. It’s not about our opinion, as long as they honored and respected his families wishes that’s all that matters. The movie was beautiful
Exactly!! I enjoyed it to the fullest and could watch it over 1million times ❣❣🎶🎶🇹🇹🇹🇹🇯🇲🇯🇲
Beautifully said ❤💯
Exactly!!! 💯
How his family wanted it and the reality of it is two separate things. Dolly House
dont mean they really like it.
Immigrated here to the USA at 6 years old and suffered a major identity crisis for 15 years. I recently found myself and started understanding who I am more through Bob's music and revisiting where I was born. Glad to be Jamaican, after hating it for so long. One love🇯🇲🇺🇸
“One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain “ Bob Marley. 🙌
I like that for the most part, this is a faithful account of Marley's life. I'm looking forward to seeing the biopic this weekend. ❤
I'm waiting for the movie to be available on streaming, but I love Bob's music as I grew up listening to him. Out of curiosity, what's your favorite Bob Marley song?
@@kamsismithProbably Could You Be Loved, Jamming, One Love or Three Little Birds. How about yourself?
It's super hard to choose similar to Michael Jackson's catalog, but mine are Stir it Up and Turn Your Lights Down Low.
@@trinaqI would say 'Could You Be Loved' is probably my favourite Bob Marley song. It's a shame it wasn't in the film. 🤔✌️
@@BuddyBoy68 Excellent choice, agreed, it's a shame that they didn't include the song, though perhaps they only had a budget for a specific few songs?
My life wouldn't be what it it is if not for his music and message. To say I am a fan is putting it very lightly.
Cop on to urself will ya
What message particularly? Sleep around on your wife?
🔥
Me too. Bob saved my life
It was the backdrop of my experience as a Caribbean girl born in the USA
The actor was so convincing that it was actually a shock to see the real Bob Marley in footage at the end. I'd seen Stand Up the stage show in London and appreciated that this was a different angle. I gasped at the film's scenes of Bob and entourage jogging in London, I'd only just missed them in the late 70s and in the very early 80s, enjoyed D&B concerts in the bandstand of the very park where Bob had played football

As someone who grow up reggae. I’m happy that this movie is coming out. I’m looking forward to watching it with my dad who is a loud and proud Rasta.🇲🇱
There's never going to be a biopic that's 100% accurate.
never say never, because the New Edition Bio pic was 100% accurate
Bob Marley, the king of reggae there is no other person under the sun in Jamaica Will take the crown from Bob Marley 20 years to come 50 years to come Bob Marley will still be the king of reggae In Jamaica. Bob Marley is a legend I’m proud to be a Jamaican. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 love love, love love Bob Marley One Love let’s get together and feel all right the king of reggae Bob Marley we salute Bob Marley, the king👑👑
Aye but Jimmy Cliff is 100% up there - prolly no classed as reggae but he's another jamacain singer (fam gonnae tell me he's no fae there) 🏴H🏳️🌈A🇯🇲 FREE 🇵🇸 ARNIE LOVES 🇰🇵
Just came home from watching the movie with my mum! We absolutely loved it - we wish it was longer! ❤
I remember when I got home from school. I was six years old, my parents were dancing to this song, I started listening to it every day, I slept listening to Bob Marley's songs, today I'm 19, I still listen to the songs he really was a good singer, his voice is wonderful, he was just a wonderful man❤❤❤
I just saw One Love earlier today and it was really good, I was never really into reggae but I do like a lot of his songs and I have a lot of respect for him as a musician
I saw it today. Rita and daughter produced it. Ziggy and other son supervised the music. And Ziggy was on set mostly every day he said. So glad the family had hands on input. I really liked it. My friend thought actor playing Bob was too good looking and hot to play Bob. I sorta see what she means but it didn't spoil it for me.
I found myself emotional at several points throughout this movie. Very unexpected as I’m very familiar with the late great Bob, his story and music. I grew up in the Caribbean where him, Rasta and reggae music is revered. But somehow the brilliant performances by the lead actor especially, combined with the power of the music broke me down. Loved the movie.
I just watched this movie in the theater today, and I'm extremely satisfied with what I saw. #RIPBobMarley🇯🇲
Well we Jamaican don't like how it was scripted alot of key players left out so u can't be a Jamaican n saying that u must nuh know nothing bout Bob history
@@watchlooknlisten9451 Now THAT is something that makes me interested! I am wondering who was left out. I saw a video of Beverley Kelso recently on KZhead. She was an early key player.
I've not seen the movie yet looking forward to it if the movie doesn't tell the full story their are lots of books out their that do tell the full story very deeply.i would guests that alot of People no the missing Parts over the years by reading his books their only so much you can fit into a movie a book is always better than a movie always goes into more details..i will be looking forward to seeing this movie
@@watchlooknlisten9451I keep having a problem w/the actor chosen to play Bob. He has an Arabic name and I can't shake that he is too light, too good looking of his own unique looks, different vibe than Bob. I am sorry he just doesn't look Jamaican and not as earthy as Bob.
I watched it on Sunday with my children I loved it even though it centered on a period only in his life…
The fact that my 9 year old's favorite songs are Iron Lion Zion and One love is proof that Bob is more than even. Legend. Indeed, he became the MESSAGE. LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU, BOB MARLEY
Here’s a fun fact. Don Taylor managed Bob Marley and Prince at the same time for a short time. They met once and Prince said they should do some music together but Bob saw how Prince was dressed and was thinking in his head “naaaww” lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've loved Bob Marley since I was 12. I remember watching his videos on MuchMusic in Canada, every Feb 6 and May 11 in the 80s, they would run a marathon of interviews and videos, and I vowed to one day go to Jamaica and Nine Mile. I saw the movie on opening day and cried throughout the entire thing, I loved it!
It's incredible how his music has touched the lives of so many people around the world. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt connection to his music and legacy!
@@WatchMojo Way to go @WatchMojo ✌🏼🤟🏼 Marley woulda done a concert to stop the Jake Paul v Mike Tyson 🤬🖕🏼 Jake the fake
I loved this movie. Wish there was more about Bob’s lifestyle. His other children, how Rita dealt with this. Rita is the most strongest faithful women. She touched my heart. I was sad how the movie ended so abruptly. And of course the move is called One Love, they should have ended the movie with the one love film clip in full. It was a glimpse of it. And last, instead of reading the titles Ziggy should have read it instead. ❤
I think focusing on this area of his life would have been too distracting. Focusing on Rita and their children would mean focusing on his other relationships and children and rightly so. Personally, I think it would have taken away the general messages they focused on in the film which really is the main thing.x
Just came from the movie theatre.. great film!
❤ amazing Bob Marley flim
Indeed
I seen this movie yesterday and let me tell you it is AMAZING 🔥🔥
Agreed! I believe both Kingsley and Lashana deserve an Oscar for their performance. He mastered Bob’s dialect and that was not an easy feat.
It was amazingly terrible! You’re tripping
@@DRMZBeatzbro wants to be different
I agree 💯! So informative and well put together. My Best Friend and I gave it a high 8, and we are movie goers who at least see two movies a month!!!
@@LoveisKiinghe did ok with the dialect but he sure didn’t master it…
Wish they added more content from their new zealand tour. Uncle Bob has a special place for the people of Aotearoa.
Bobs manager Don Taylor wrote a book about life with Bob...he mentioned New Zealand in one paragraph All our succeses began in New Zealand....
Thank you WatchMojo for having a review out on the same day!!!!!
Jamaican in the house , yes a big Bob Marley fan an i remember hearing i on the tv that he died, i am so honoured that they dd a main screen film on him .
Just saw this movie today, And Loved it !!!! Laughed and cry, The music made it great!!! Rest in Peace Rasta Man.
So basically this was one of the most accurate biopics of all time ? 😂
Am I the only one that cried during the movie? 😂 10/10 for me!! Already planning to watch it again.
Second half really pull me in even even had wipe my eyes stop the tears from fall I hold it like a g
I cried too. And so did my wife.
Yeah man! Can’t be a Jamaican and not be a fan of Bob Marley’s music and his positive message.
Bruh...you would be surprised!
I saw this yesterday and cried.
Same experience. I found myself emotional at several points throughout the movie. Nostalgia plus the power of the music.
@@sand0sand0 Exactly. It was the interview he gave before the end that got me. And then I read the book before the coffee gets cold and I was balling all over again. Greetings from London, UK!
I'm from Trinidad and I've been living in Jamaica for 2 years. visited the Bob Marley museum and got all the facts about his life. I grew up on his music. My mom has his albums, a compilation of Bob's greatest hits. to think that one man can change the world through his music, but more importantly his faith. he wasn't the perfect man, nor was he pursuing perfection. all he ever wanted was peace, love, unity and justice. decades later after his passing, and his music still endures. truly an incredible human being, and it was such a joy seeing his story being brought to the big screen. yes the movie has its flaws, but just like Bob's music, it will last forever. One Love!!!
Bob Marley's music has helped me through serious struggles! Gone too soon but he lives in our hearts forever! One 💓
Saw it today, a great representation of Bob & Rita Marley. But as one reviewer said, "you won't learn anything you don't already know."
Bob Marley was such an incredible musician and even though I wasn’t yet 3 when he died my parents played his songs all the time I love his music and message of peace. ❤️❤️❤️
Loved the movie and we're introducing our 5 yo to his music as well. Bob lives on
I saw him for the first time when I was about 3 yrs old and the next time about 6 or 7 he used to come into my community to visit friends in ST AN. He played football by the Drax Hall football field. It was a big thing back then. So Kool🇯🇲
So much power in one man and his music can't stop or slow an amazing life down for nothing. Love you to infinity and beyond that always kenfolk. Missing you and your messages. The world is so sweet and could be better but it's gonna be alright
I sang the songs in the theater & cried a little at the end, he was a light gone too soon. ❤️💚💛
"Smoke a pound a day" they're crazy. I never will forget the first time I bought Bob Marley cd and listening to it this peace washed over me. It was so profound I've never experienced that with any other musical artist ever. One Love Bob Marley.
THE GOAT OF MUSIC
Bob Marley is my personal favorite artist across all genres of music.
The movie was waaaay too short and so much was left out.
Growing up, I used to wake up hearing bob marley songs...my uncle was obsessed with Bob marley..he used to sit cleaning his weed and vibing to bob marley songs...my family knows all bob songs by heart ❤
A big fan at the time, purchasing his vinyls and as we said back then "listen to Bob Marley". Biggest disappointment was contemplating seeing him Live but never happened.. he left before. Biggest "achievement" infusing both my boys with his message and having them sing No woman No cry sitting in the back of my car. Mind you they were about 11 and 8 since then they turned 30 and 33.The elder one kept a impressive taste for Ragga, Dub and Reggae. Bless Nesta for being who I consider as the last prophet on Earth. And Yes I'm a boomer :-P
Bob Marley is an awesome singer
Just back from seeing the film,I would have liked to see more about how bob discovered music etc but I Def love the message the film gives,I feel I was too young to appreciate who he was at the time ,of course I've always enjoyed his music but wasn't deeply into it but watching the film I came away with a new found respect for this remarkable man and a thirst to know more !!!
I just saw the movie and good lord, this film was powerful. Marley wasn't JUST a musician, he was so much more. Singing about something so simple, love, peace and unity. Bless Jah and bless Marley.❤️💛💚
My husband and I saw the Bob Marley "One Love" movie last week. We thought it was very well presented and captured the essence of Bob Marley. The actor chosen to play the lead role did an excellent job of bringing Bob's character to life on the big screen. The actor who portrayed Rita Marley was phenomenal. I would recommend going to see this movie in the theater. I would go see it again, if I could.
The whole of Jamaica agrees. Thank you mojo❤
Not the whole jamaica some jamaican elders really know the truth about bod Marley
@@tyrone.webdev what exactly you talking about?
This isn't true 😂😂
his music makes me feel so relaxed and so peacefully. everytime i have something stressfull going on i turn on Three little birds so i get relaxed
Gotta love Brother Bob, warts and all. No man is perfect, but Bob had a good heart and spread a good message in the most delightful way! I'll never stop listening.
The movie was incredible! Im a huge marley fan and a musician so i noticed every detail. Spot on! Even the other band members looked and played just like them! The music made me wanna get up and dance so bad!!😂🕺🏻 Also if you want more, check out the Marley documentary from 2012 its like 2.5hrs and covers his entire life! 🇯🇲
That dude looks nothing like bob marley though
@@jaimep3432 That is probably the biggest reason why I am hesitant to go and watch the movie.
The movie was a 10! Kingsley was great!
@skabuoy the actor played his role well he's not meant be Bob just represent him the best way possible and I doubt anyone else could've come this close
@@skabuoy same. When i first saw the trailer i was skeptical since hes taller and doesnt like exactly like bob but after seeing it i realized this was as close as were gonna get. And he did great
Bob Marley's a legend

Bob Marley lives on within us with his music,I saw the movie yesterday, and the spirituality of his music, his life, his passion for Jah and for teaching and loving his culture is beyond words-death from the physical realm-alive in the spiritual realm,we miss you Bob Marley, but your music and the freedom you wanted for all nations and race resides in us-May you continue to rest and sleep in peace🙏🏽
I watched the movie last night. It was AWESOME!!! I highly recommend it. 👍🏼
Thank you for giving proper credit. Big up Teach Dem, the message a reach dem.
One of a kind, there will never be another like Bob
i grew up listening to the music but i had no idea how complicated his life was. i have a new found respect for him, and i can now listen to his music with new ears
Just came from watching One Love really enjoyed it
Keep up the good work guys
I took my whole family to see the movie son and daughter's mom and dad we are Jamaicans and we laughed and cried together Bob and his music will live forever, one love❤
I wish his music was played more often on our radio stations. Loved the movie, I'm reading " So much to say," so i can learn more about Bob and his life and music
I really loved the movie. I already knew the real stories about him. So I caught the parts they got wrong. But honestly the movie focused on his positive message. It was a good idea not to let imperfections cloud the good things. This is a good biopic. And I’m glad they didn’t overdramatize things.
As a big fan that I was of Bob Marley growing up, I was a little disappointed that the movie did not speak much about his past when he was part of the Wailers with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. That is the only real critic I can make about the movie since it only focused on his last 6 years. Unfortunately many people do not know about Peter Tosh and he wrote a lot of bob’s biggest hits like 400 years and Get up Stand Up. The movie should have at least dedicated 10 minutes to give more context on his origins besides that it is a heartfelt movie and the actor literally was bob his performance was on point. RIP Bob, Peter and bunny.
That makes two of us, I was disappointed as well.
I would've preferred a movie solely about his early years. This movie did nothing but reiterate general things we already know while also making sure to edit out Bob's other relationships and children.
I think that if we had more people who felt like Bob Marley did, we would be living in a better world. We need more people like him to try and get the message across the world that we are all equal we are all god’s children ( whatever name you call him ) and that is what we need to get through our heads and life. Treat people with respect and compassion as you wish to be treated yourself.
Blessings to my country Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 and blessings to Bob Marley
One Love always ❤
Except for his wife he beet again and again
He was one of a kind, peace and love ❤❤❤
Grateful for Bob Marley and the Wailers and for the music that feeds my soul. ❤
I've been a fan since early 70's. Loves his music, loved the man and the movie is good but hard to understand sometimes. I honeymooned in Montego Bay, January, 76. Troubles were definitely happening in Kingston. RIP, Bob Marley. Thank you for all the wonderful music.
Bob led a colorful life. It was not all about love but a fight to live the life you love. There is too much of one man that the movie could not portray.
I love Bob Marley!!!
Just finished watching this movie, and I've loved every single thing about it, the production is insanely amazing
Rest in power king. Bob Marley lives thru his music👌🏾
Just back from seeing it in glasgow... a good movie... thats all... the hailli e Sellasie horse scene was quite a good visual

Bob is my greatest inspiration ever. I was shocked when I discovered that he passed on in 1981 yet his legacy till this day is unprecedented. He is my hero. His music heals.
Thank u for shining a light on Jamiacas culture 🇯🇲 one love❤
I took my 9yrs old son to see the OneLuv movie❤ 1) great movie indeed, your spirit lights up every time the music comes up 😂 My thoughts 1) too short, can't tell Bob's life story in 2 hrs 2) this movie should've been in series with at least 2 seasons dedicated to Marley, Rita and the band. Then more seasons about Bob's lagacies, i.e., his sons under Rita's guidance and influences on other genre, culture etc
Just seen the movie last night and I loved it! Long Live Marley 💙
My dad loved Bob Marley and we grew up always listening to his songs. Along the line, I also started feeling his jams ❤ even till now as an adult I love his songs and I listen to them all the time.
Watched the movie last night…sadly, I was disappointed this story of the music man & child of God, left so many details out. Robert Nesta Marley deserved more of his quest for peace and love to be told, and I wish the story had been up until his death from widespread cancer. I’m white, 65 years of age, and have shook my tail off to this mans music since the late ‘70’s.💃When I blast his music, dance and sing his songs, so do the neighbors. Please always remember one love, one race, the human race. We are ALL Gods children and sit together at the same table. Show grace and compassion to those in your life, play his music loud, and let the story of your life, fulfill the book in a way that makes your life joyful, and your family proud. ❤️🙏❤️
Seen it .loved it. I am a Jamaican and I approve. One Love .Rasta Lives.
Shout out to Massop, Tek Life, Bucky Marshall. Without them, it would of never happened

I've been a Bob Marley fan since 3rd grade. I'm in 10th grade now and was so extremely excited to see the movie when it came out, I sat down in the theater only a few days ago and watched his story. My respect for Bob Marley went up tenfold, it's depressing how little the people in my generation know about this man.. An activist, a musician, a peace-fighter and a God-lover. I've never been more proud to be a Bob Marley fan. 🩷🩷
