I just found this series, its amazing social history.......absolutely brilliant
Great documentary out of grim times. The pain ramps up with every episode.
Eric Carlile was a real gentleman who gave this marooned 70s schoolboy fan in Australia far more of his time responding to pestering letters about who scored last week etc...he never failed to write back and at length. Old world civility and a credit to the club.
Totally agree, Eric replied to a random letter I sent to Leeds in 1979. He told me about the West Midlands Branch of the Leeds United Supporters Club which led to my 42 years as a Leeds United Season ticket holder... top man!
Not a Leeds fan, but I love these videos. Never knew so much about Leeds history. Great club. Hopefully they come back to where they belong (Good tunes)
Superb again, cracking little film of sport and social history. I’ll be gutted when these end. Looking forward to the next one already.
Just binge watched all 24 and hooked. Thanks for posting and can't wait for the next episode. I was 14 in 1975 and was a regular at Elland Rd from 72 to 90 so saw the good and bad. MOT to the premier league this year! Thanks again.
I was 10. Loved Terry Connor. This vid is brilliant as usual. I miss Leeds Utd.
RIP Norman Hunter
These are amazing. If they were ever brought out on dvd they would sell like hotcakes. Any chance of that?
Don’t own the rights unfortunately so can’t sell dvds.
Only 8 at the time when I first got into Leeds but rember terry Connor he was my best player after Tony currie went
Long way to go yet before they got out of the wilderness - l'm amazed at the archive footage they uncover for these.
Ty so much for video very well put together.
Brilliant as always!
Wonderful stuff as always. Enjoyed the footage from Old Trafford. MOT
amazing footage i just started to go to leeds games around 79 as a 15 year old
another great video - thanks for uploading
Brilliant as always.
Super stuff, nice one!
Excellent as usual
Leeds Utd the best team back then!!
I think that Leeds have always had a good youth team set up:-)
This is very nostalgic stuff. Great music selection and window into the wider culture of the time. Have to say that Jimmy Adamson came across as a bit of a knob - like an overbearing school teacher. That said, I don't care for many of the "great" managers like Clough or Ferguson.
9:40 Tangerines, LOL.
Cracking video
Hi guys, love these videos, is there any other videos like this for dufferent clubs?
Siouxie and the Banshee Happy House great theme
Incorrect that Oct. 79' the first time a small group of teenage lads bypass the football specials, this had been happening from the early to mid seventies! I know as i was one of them...also i was at the 1-1 draw in Salford with Terry Connor scoring at Stratford End, the end i was in with a mate with my Leeds scarf under a zipped up jacket. :)
Fair enough. I was just quoting from the book.
@@Lufcfilms ..i understand ,love these clips keep them going
Will there be any more made? loved 1-24 great stuff ALAW MOT
Episode 25 currently in the works. They are released every couple of months, fitted around the day job.
No mention of Damiens in the night club section? is that because all the flyers were used to soak up all the blood
Ah, the mighty Leeds United, the only team I ever want Man. U. to beat
What kind of football is that
