@@diegosotomiranda4107 I actually think Swiatek's shot placement - consistently hitting those lines and corners with angles, is her biggest strength. But Aryna's power and pace prevented her from going for those riskier shots. She tried to play a little safer with a little more margin here and played right into the hands of Aryna.

Its not clear, only thing cleara is that rybakina is better than Shitek on surfaces other than clay. So Sabalenka > Rybakina > Shitek.

Her mental aspect approved a lot. She's still emotional but in the past, she let her emotions get to her. Now, when she falls behind, she doesn't let it bother her as much.

One of the best women's match I ever seen in life and I saw easily plus than 5.000 these 15 years that one surely got into my top 5 coincidentally another one top 5 imo was in Madrid too Sharapova x Bouchard unfortunately not a final. Just look at the joy on Aryna's face. Beating Iga is no fluke now. Aryna not only has the power, but she has a beautiful flow to her game now. Not just a power hitter anymore. She is matching Iga shot for shot and she's moving explosively to the ball and executing very difficult placement from taking the ball so early. Something Iga does so well. Fantastic win Aryna❤

She deserves it and has been working for it. She played her best tennis. She remained relentless and faithful. She is indeed wonderful this year. Swaitek got the better of her several times. Goes to show that people cam grow, overcome their weaknesses and overcome their suppressors. Believing and fighting for a change is key!

She's probably a cheat.
Iga lookes vulnerable from the start defending herself from nothing new but the usual sheer power of Sabalenka's groundstrokes. Granted, Sabalenka has not been known as one of the most consistent players on the tour and that power has sometimes wrecked havoc on her own game. There was a little bit of that in the second set but once she regrouped and could use her power with less errors she again simply overpowered her opponent.
Such a great final! So impressed with Aryna's heart ...... fighting through the loss at the last meeting. Unkind words that Iga said about how she should be banned at all majors. This match was a little payback. Go 'Ryna!

Love a compelling rivalry. They're the strongest and most reliable WTA #1 & #2 in a long while. Hope to see Rybakina, Pegula, and Krejčíková add to the drama as well.
Pegula has to stop playing so much doubles and mixed doubles if she wants to get past QF in big tournaments. She's often spent by the middle of second week.

Undoubtedly one of the most formidable final encounters which was contended between Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka in WTA during this season. Almost each point was scintillating. Each rally was played in the high level. It was very hard to keep the entire showdown under the composure. One side was going to become the winner one in the end. I would like to congratulate Sabalenka for this tremendous title, annihilating world no.1 competitor on the clay court surface first time. In fact, Iga was really close to attain her first championship in Mutua Madrid Open Tournament. It missed with the minor margins but someday Iga Swiatek will clinch a colossal championship in Mutua Madrid Open Tennis Tournament

Sabalenka played so good here, she made Iga grunt hard for a shot. I like them both including Rybakina, but if had to choose my who I would wanna win, it's Rybakina --> Swiatek --> Sabalenka. But if it's Saba's turn this time, then I'm happy for her. These 3 make the current women's tennis era look great.

A very interesting game came from Arina. She won thanks to several aspects that were not typical for her in other matches on clay against Iga: firstly, Arina was very good on the defensive, dragging difficult balls, every time she thought that the ball was about to hit the net, but Arina managed to catch up to them and sent it to the opposite side, which of course Iga did not expect and made mistakes in long draws. Secondly, Iga, as always, began to read Arina's serve very well in the 2nd and 3rd sets (there were a lot of tricks right through from Iga), but in the 3rd set Arina adapted to this and after another classy reception by Iga, she managed to ball, sat down very well on it from the backhand and counterattacked the polka with even greater speed than Iga. Swiatek could not expect this from Arina either, in the end she was also mistaken from hopelessness. These two factors, as for me, influenced the victory of Arina.

Some the shots these two hit are just UNREAL Iga's crouch slingshot FH, that insane BH laser redirect from Sabelenka. Wish they had a warmer exchange at the net. But it's so exciting to see Sabalenka raise her level to such a peak that she can match Iga. Well... Iga has her opinions on the Russians and Belarusians. In my opinion, I just think it's a bit stupid. I understand how frustrating this may be. But Sabalenka is not the one who started the Ukrainian/russian war... She just happens to be a citizen of a country that is an ally of the invader.
