    • Ostapenko’s frustrations most likely stemmed from her loss at Rybakina’s hands. All in all, it’s safe to say that Ostapenko can’t keep a lid on her emotions, especially when she’s losing.

    • Glad to see her playing her game again. No one wants to deal with her game because they never know what she’s going to do. She also doesn’t GAF who’s on the other side of the net. She’s going to keep going for the corners and attack anything short or shoulder level. It’s often overlooked, but she has the attitude and belief in her game that makes her so dangerous. I’m waiting for when she finally gets the perfect coach, trainer, and team that can get her consistency up. I would tune in to watch her eat these girls up. 🎾 wishful thing maybe.

    • I think Swiatek could not handle pressure in 3rd set, she knew she can't lose that set or she will: 1. Lose WTA Number 1 spot 2. Wont't defend US Open 2022 title 3. Will have 4:0 H2H with Ostapenko (the worst H2H with any player on tour). It was probably the heaviest emotionally set in her professional career, even harder for her than playing in grand slam final where she get 4 times and every time she won.

That game especially 3rd set might be the toughest in her professional career not because she lost to Ostapenko because she lost WTA Number 1 spot and chance to defend US Open title, both loses are way more panifull for her. Ostapenko played without any pressure, Swiatek played probably under biggest pressure in her life. She is 4 time grand slam champion, holds longest winning streak in last 25 years, is third longest WTA 1 among those who get WTA 1 for the very first time. Everything that at age 22. • The woman on commentary was perfect here 13:18 Iga tried to play hard and hard against the hardest hand on tour it's like punch a stone you just can't. Her strategy was awful should have done like that moonballs, dropshots, do something different something that bothers Ostapenko like Gauff did yesterday, variation in general.

    • Just need to make ostapenko run around instead of counter punch

  • If Iga gets pulled out wide on the forehand she always wants to run to defend her backhand. Attack her second serve to the forehand get her out wide then wrong foot her with the same shot. Saville did it in the second round and Ostapenko used the same tactic in this match.

  • Ostapenko had lost a bit of weight. No wonder she's doing much better.

Fritz ogląda mecze i dokładnie analizuje grę przeciwników.

  • Swiatek shouldn't have given up before the final in Bad Homburg. After that, she lost 5 / 6 tournaments, or so.

  • I love her! True character, funny to watch, the oppose to 90% express-less WTA player’s faces. And above all, a heck of a tennis player. Thin and fit, she is top 3.

  • I initially became aware of Ostapenko through the reports of her supposedly unsporting behaviour on the court. However, she has since become one of my favourite players because of her determination and no little skill. Oh, and I see no evidence of an 'unsporting' attitude.
