  • This Naga was my first ever gaming mouse and I honestly love it, I use it for gaming and for work. I’m a graphic and 3D design student who uses this mouse with Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Houdini and Davinci resolve. The mouse works amazing and feels amazing for creative applications and removes the need for hot keys or moving around to click things all over the screen. Thought I’d share my quick thoughts for non-gamers out there :)

    • @@vanesam3058 @Mohanned @kilner79 Thought I'd chime in, I've had this mouse for about two years. It still works, and looks nearly new with daily heavy gaming use. The side grip on the 6 panel is -just- now getting worn where my thumb rests (maybe take a month or two). I almost exclusively use the 6 panel, never use the two panel, and use the mmo panel on the rare occasions I play mmos. I mostly play League (2~8+ games a day), and while the 12 buttons could absolutely be used for the game, I'm not a huge mmo buff, and find that many buttons uncomfortable which I've no doubt would be an excellent side panel regardless. As for the 6 panel besides the wear on the grip, none of the buttons have shown any issues ever. As a side note, the only issue I can even remember having with this mouse, was it used to have a cursor jump. This was fixed via firmware upgrades completely, however the fix wasn't well documented or explained. You -have- to upgrade the firmware on the USB dongle AND the mouse. You have to use the USB while plugged directly to the PC, not your charging adaptor if you were to have one, and the mouse itself must be updated over the included Razer cable. Since I got it figured out, the mouse has been my dream mouse, and if it ever broke, or failed, I'd buy the exact same mouse within the hour.

  • Just upgraded to this from the G600. I am soo happy they went back to concave buttons on the Naga. Feels good to finally go wireless on a MMO mouse. I just hope not to have double clicking issues like I always do with Razer mice, like the original Naga back in the day, which started double clicking in less than 2 years of use.

  • I use mmo mice for productivity at work. I fell in love with the rat mmo7 mouse with its great design and good software. It had a thumb scroll wheel, ctrl+shift keys, a profile switch button on the top of the mouse and the d-pad thumb button is far easier to use than the having 12 separate side buttons. The one thing that sucked however was the build quality.... If they could bring back this mouse with better build quality that would kill it for me (multimode with wireless would be even more killer).

  • I just tested the longevity of this mouse when using the Naga 2.4 wireless connection. It took me a whole week using the mouse (no RGB) around 16 hrs a day to run the mouse down to 5% where went into low power mode and seemed to stop using power altogether, lol.

  • The 6 button side panel has a lot of missed potential for me. For starters I wish they would have textured the face of each button to be a bit more grippy rather than the flat smooth plastic they went with. My other complaint is the buttons are like thin lines, very small/a bit awkward to press due to their thin shape. I recognize the need to taper the buttons so there are vertical and horizontal gaps for the user to feel which button is which, but this could’ve been achieved with a smaller taper that left larger button in the end. As it is the pressable part of each button is just too darn tiny for me but they didn’t have to be. For me, I think I’d almost rather have 4 bigger buttons than 6 smaller ones, I just think that 6 button side panel though great in some ways needs another iteration/revision to get it right. I’d also second your comment about shifting the buttons forward a little bit - don’t get me wrong it’s easier for me to move my thumb back VS forward but I just found my big hand sits far forward on the mouse so it might help somewhat to shift them forward slightly.

  • I used to LOVE the naga, and was one of my favorite mice. I had a couple of buttons kick the bucket after 5 years of use and decided to give the naga chroma a try... and boy was I disappointed with the quality. the thing ended up having sensor issues and buttons failing after less than 2 years. I tried everything too, thinking it needed a cleaning or software updates, but nope. Swapped to the roccat nyth, and its been my go to ever since. But since mmo mice arent made much anymore, I figured I'd take a look at what razer has been up to these days. This mouse looks pretty fuckin solid! The trinity seemed like a waste of money, but this one might be worth the go for me. Thanks for the video!

  • This was an extremely well made video and very helpful. After reading the Rtings review and watching this video, I've decided to splurge and give it a try despite some comments of people having some quality assurance issues. Coming from two G600 mice which were heavy and wired, this seems like the perfect mouse since I play ESO, but also want to give Red Dead Redemption II a try and eventually Cyberpunk when I finish Red Dead. By then that game should be more than good enough to give it a go :-). Thanks for the review!

  • I followed the same path you did. I started with the first Naga in 2009 and when it died I bought the Trinity. I liked the first Naga more than the Trinity, it was much more durable and way smaller which is a plus for me since I have quite small hands. The Trinity died after only 2 years and by that time I had some bad experiences with different Razer products so I bought the Corsair Scimitar Elite RGB. I liked the way it looked but the paint came off the side buttons after a few weeks of use and last week it started double clicking. Luckily it was still under warranty and since they were not able to repair it I got my money back. Today I ordered the Naga Pro. I agree with you that the dock should have been included for this high price but it’s something that Razer’s been doing for the last years it seems. With my first Blackwidow keyboard I got a nice, soft leather look armrest, last year I bought the Blackwidow v3 and it came with a cheap, hard plastic armrest.

  • I've had this mouse for a while its pretty legit. Have had tons of mice from MX510-(g400's, 2019MX518) Corsair mice including scimitar - SS mice - Mionix 7000 - and of course Deathadders and the original Naga (which i loved until it double clicked). So the triple side choices are really amazing options for this. I've been using the 2 button side for FPS since i got it and i love the thing you get all the naga original feel with 2 buttons and better gripping areas. The wireless feels like a corded 1000hz but free as it should be i cant find any faults where it felt like i clicked and nothing happened in proper order. Glides well with the nice Teflon feet. Charging is fast on the base or plugged in it can charge in like 1 or so hr's too 100% from low %. The best part for this is going to be switching between games and side plates because your aim is going to feel the same everything is going to feel the same just the side buttons changing i like it.

Even better, when the battery of one mouse dies I can just grab the other charged one off the dock and never have a dead battery again because I forgot to charge it. Sure this is not the main appeal of the mouse but damn if that's not a positive for me xD

Razer Synapse 3.0, (though I do agree Synapse 2.0 was rather bad at the time too.) is Miles ahead of anything that Logitiech G Hub offers. Its the most abysmal piece of software I have come across. The deathadder served me well but I’ve been playing MOBAs and MMOs recently and I’ve been eyeing an MMO mouse for a while. My question is why do you prefer the deathadder? It's probably a software thing but Razer doesn't really support it now :( Still a fine mouse but I was thinking or getting another because more often than not the buttons get in the way, there's few games I use them in now, until the next big mmo. I would looking at the 502 but the style doesn't look very comfortable, weird when Logitech had ergonomics down pat years ago but seems to not care on the flag ships. Then I saw this mouse, best of both worlds, I was always going to pull my Naga out for an MMO but now I can swap a panel, I love it, I think I'll buy one. • Yeah, I loved my Razer Naga 2014 as well. Until it started giving me problems where it wasn't detecting the movement of the mouse. It turned out to be a common issue for the Naga and in most cases it was related to the Razer Synapse. The mouse started giving me these problems like 1 month after buying it. I returned it, they gave me a new one. One week later it started giving me the same issue. Then I got pissed off as I tried installing/reinstalling the Synapse software so many times. Unplugging the mouse while the software is installed, plugging it while it is installing... so many suggestions and nothing worked. I gave up like a month after and got myself a Logitech G502 and it is still going strong without any issues. My love for Razer ended with their Synapse software. Before that and still, my all time favorite mouse is the Razer Diamondback 3G from 2007. I used that mouse up until 2015 when I got the Naga. I've never had issues with the Diamondback 3G and it was an amazing mouse but in the end, father time had his last words on it and it stopped working. This Naga right now, as well as the Blackshark V2 headset seem to be amazing, but I am so skeptical about that stupid Synapse software that I doubt, I am going to buy a Razer product in the near future.

While doing that i was prompted to unplug the mouse, plug in the mouse like you described, while it was a bit laggy it only took about 5 minutes to finish before everything started working again. Works perfect for me now no issues. As for my 2014 one i never had 1 issue until 7 years after owning it the scroll wheel was not being as precise but thats probably to be expected after 7 years of use

  • I've had every single Naga since the very first release. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth considering the Naga epic came with the dock included. I understand things get more expensive over the years, but gouging customers for accessories like a charging dock reminds me of the most recent debacle of Apple not including a charging brick in the box. These stunts erode customer trust and considering this product isn't hard to replicate, Razer should be more careful how they extract cash from a loyal customer base. I'll buy the mouse and I'll reluctantly buy the dock, compared to the last release which I pretty much threw money at Razer for. Subsequent releases may be met with less and less goodwill however and we will see how far they go with this.

  • I'm sure i am gonna have to buy this and review it for myself to get an answer, but if you are actually using this, can you please do a follow up on reliability? I have a Naga Epic Chroma and its a mess of a mouse. Its unreliable and buggy causing the cursor to jump all over my screen after about an hour of use. And now its dead(probably the battery). Even before it died i had reverted back to my far far superior Logitech MX Master(2015). And its till going strong. After some months (possibly) of using this mouse, has it become an unbearable mess like the Naga Epic Chroma(which there are a few of "Fix this problem with your naga" videos on youtube)? Has there been any glitch's, or things of concern? Did you buy this yourself or did you get send a golden sample form Razer? All those features are great, but only if they last. I'm using a 6 year old mouse that lasts for weeks (maybe even months) still on a single charge while my Naga is dead. If Logitech ever made anything similar(but only the 12 buttons) i would gladly pay the asking price (unless its like $200, then i'd wait for a good sale, my mamma didn't raise no fool!).
