This series aims to show the best vehicles to use in GTA Online in terms of top speed. That is, in long straight line races with minimal cornering. The word "Fastest" means nothing without some context - these are the fastest vehicles in terms of top speed. For the fastest vehicles around a circuit (for regular races for example) check out the Lap Time Testing series here: • GTA 5 Best Fully Upgra...

How Top Speed Values Were Calculated Accurately
The highest constant speed a vehicle can achieve after acceleration has stopped determines its top speed and its place in this list.
Speed = Distance ÷ Time
- Speed is what we're looking for.
- Distance is exactly 0.2 miles, measured in the content creator from the first checkpoint to the second.
- Time is how long it takes each car to hit the second checkpoint after hitting the first.
*Due to KZhead description length limits the information that should be placed here has been removed and can be read in full here: broughy.com/topspeeddesc. I recommend reading this for anyone who is confused, interested, or doubts the validity of the results in this video as it explains in great detail exactly how the values displayed were found, in addition to showing an example of the calculations used to measure top speed accurately.*
This testing has been done to minimise variables as much as possible and make it repeatable/verifiable. Anybody should be able to repeat this testing on the same track and find the same results. However individuals may find different results to this if they're testing in a different way, such as going uphill or downhill, taking advantage of kerb boosting, racing against others online (never an accurate determinant due to connectivity and variation in driving), using mods or single player abilities, and even using the left stick too much to correct the steering whilst trying to keep in a straight line. Even different road surfaces can have an effect. I am simply reporting the actual top speeds of these cars when fully upgraded, on a flat regular road with no external factors and identical testing methods. Most tests were carried out on PS4 with a small number on PC at 30fps.
If you do find the series helpful, entertaining, or want to be kept up to date on any car performance changes as GTA Online develops please do subscribe, like, comment and share - every little helps! You can also directly support the creation of more of these videos in a number of ways shown here: broughy.com/support. Finally, for a comprehensive spreadsheet on GTA 5 vehicle performance that includes all the values of lap time and top speed I find, alongside other vehicle info, click here: broughy.com/gta5vehicleinfo. Thank you very much for watching and I hope to see you on a future video soon :)

Lowering your stance on this car with the lowest suspension improves handling by a lot. Stock suspension + lowered you will spin out. • if you look at the raw handling files, it has more power, less drag, and more cornering grip than the GTT. Add the fact that it also has downforce, and honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s gets a lap time of under 1.05.

  • Young Adam, how much I enjoy these videos is unbelievable. Great work. Great content. I was messing around and I stanced the calico nit thinking anything about it I thought it was a visual thing. Took it into races n I was like, hmm this car is SHIT I can't believe why people love it. Lol so many people will stance it and not realize why they can't break!!! Awesome mate keep it up. Love from a nodo veteran. Xxxxx

  • That might be a cool thing to lower the suspension on straights only. I've been doing this in free roam and makes a substantial difference. Shame that we can't do such thing in actual races, but still...

  • I found out about the shite handling the hard way with the lowered stance on my Calico. My first race with it was awful, pretty much straight on at most corners, then I remembered I had lowered the stance, gone back to normal and doing much better now!

  • Holy crap broughy you are fast. Great work! I thought the balance was ruined by another pariah outlier with no counter, but turns out jester RR actually beats it in top speed in normal conditions! Thanks! Just a word of note though, are you going to make a separate video for tuner setup top speeds like the open wheelers? Or will the data be in spreadsheet? (Regardless make sure to get rest lol, respect for putting in so many hours for quick content to save our money) There is an interesting testing that shows (Stance+low grip) has varying effects on different tuner cars (not maximum bosot in RT3000 case). I am sure you have the results from your extending testing, crosschecking would be really helpful! Also one more important note, you mention how bad the combined boost setup would be. But what about stancing boost alone? Surely it would be the best middleground, or is the lap time very bad for it too? Because if its just some 5-6, then calico might surpass GTO for stunt tracks lol. Sorry if I missed if its mentioned in audio!

  • Hey Broughy, Thank you for yet another awesome video! A couple of quick questions for you; Did you manage to find out the top speed of other cars when lowered stanced and with low grip tires? Specifically the Remus I actually enjoy the extra top speed and have been getting used to controlling the turning(in freeroam not racing), anyway, I found that the tires pop pretty easily, so If I have bulletproof tires, can I still use low grip tires and stance the car to lowered? And if so, would using bulletproof tires affect performance? Hope all is well with you.

  • Very good info, Bruff. Appreciate your efforts! Am curious though.. did you happen to run the Dominator GTT, Tailgater S, and new Warrener in their stanced/low grip set-ups? Wondering if they get boosted in speed good enough to surpass the all out top speed of the Pisswasser Dominator and Schafter V12 respectively.
