  • This was the greatest upset performance I've ever seen. 5 rounds of domination. Garbrandt toyed with Cruz for every second of this fight. It wasn't a one punch knockout or grappling for 25 minutes. I have never been so surprised with a performance in my life. I just wish this was the same Garbrandt that fought Dillashaw because he could have been so dominant.

    • No. He was able to look like this because Dom was stylistically favourable, has pillowfists and TAM had years of data on him. Versus any other decent opponent, he has lost and lost badly. Assuncao was washed and is 40. If Cruz had more power, Cody would’ve been in trouble in a few points in that fight. Fortunately, Cruz has pillows for fists.

  • The loss was tough to watch, but Dom really handled it better than anyone could've expected. That post-fight speech is one of the most inspirational things I've seen from any fighter and something we can incorporate into our own lives. Loss is a part of life. People lose in a variety of ways, not just physically like Dom did.

TJ was catching Garbrandt in middle of exchanges and finishing him, unlike with Dominick Cruz he was also catching Garbrandt in middle of exchanges but he cannot floor him down due to the lack of power.
