Those injuries are so taxing to your body overtime especially the all surgeries he went through. I don’t think he beats cody the first time because cody is literally made to counter cruz imo. When Cody fights TJ he is a much less rational decision maker which is why he lost by doing the same thing twice. When Cody fought Cruz he was fluid and technical but against TJ it all went out the window.

I really do think cruz is the smartest guy in the game. He was so dominant and he didn't really have any physical attributes that made him so, on the contrary he had a ton of injuries. It's his totally unique fighting style and game plans that kept him at the top.

He was the fighter that got me interested in mma. For whatever reason, I picked up a UFC magazine he was featured in and the dude was just intelligent. He's always been up front about not having knockout power, so he has make sure he can chip his opponent down. And he found the best way to do that without taking damage.

I like seeing Cruz win too but TJ doesn't always cheat USADA has checked all of his B samples and they all came back clean. He cheated when he cut too much weight for Cejudo. Those are the facts. There's a lot of guys who have had dirty samples and many who probably never got caught. Pretending you know someone cheats "always" when there is zero evidence is childish. TJ payed his dues. Let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He took IMO one of the toughest fights he could have in Sandhagen and prevailed (though I think it should have been a draw). He is also one of the best ever in 135. The guy puts in the work. Not fair to eternally bad mouth a guy that made one bad decision. He manned up. Time for everyone else to do the same.

I get the hate of people that win by decisions from the perspective of people that just want to see people getting hurt...but from the perspective of a sport I don't really get it... You can win against someone that's better than you by landing a lucky hit but it's very unlikely that you're going to win the majority of the exchanges for 25 minutes in a row against someone that's better than you. It's generally more impressive to win by decision than via knockout. (Im excluding the whole endurance fighter situation)

@@colbylacefield796 Not Cejudo's fault. Both Tj and Cruz should have done a better job at making it look like they are not out to the ref. Ref needed to make a quick call to save a fighter. In Tj's case, too many knockdowns and unanswered shots, good signs for the ref to call it. Only after the stop can someone call it early stoppage by looking at Tj's condition, but at the moment of the fight, it was actually a good call with all the signs. In Dom's case, too many unanswered shots. Also, a good sign to call a fight.

This loss must have been absolutely devastating for TJ Dillishaw. Dominick Cruz dominated him in every interview leading up to the fight, and then beat him up inside the octagon after being out of the game for years. It wouldn’t surprise me if this was one of the reasons why TJ felt the need to increase his performance enhancing drugs. When that self doubt starts to creep in, it’s not easy to push it out.

Those injuries are so taxing to your body overtime especially the all surgeries he went through. I don’t think he beats cody the first time because cody is literally made to counter cruz imo. When Cody fights TJ he is a much less rational decision maker which is why he lost by doing the same thing twice. When Cody fought Cruz he was fluid and technical but against TJ it all went out the window.

I really do think cruz is the smartest guy in the game. He was so dominant and he didn't really have any physical attributes that made him so, on the contrary he had a ton of injuries. It's his totally unique fighting style and game plans that kept him at the top.
He was the fighter that got me interested in mma. For whatever reason, I picked up a UFC magazine he was featured in and the dude was just intelligent. He's always been up front about not having knockout power, so he has make sure he can chip his opponent down. And he found the best way to do that without taking damage.

Let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He took IMO one of the toughest fights he could have in Sandhagen and prevailed (though I think it should have been a draw). He is also one of the best ever in 135. The guy puts in the work. Not fair to eternally bad mouth a guy that made one bad decision. He manned up. Time for everyone else to do the same.

I get the hate of people that win by decisions from the perspective of people that just want to see people getting hurt...but from the perspective of a sport I don't really get it... You can win against someone that's better than you by landing a lucky hit but it's very unlikely that you're going to win the majority of the exchanges for 25 minutes in a row against someone that's better than you. It's generally more impressive to win by decision than via knockout. (Im excluding the whole endurance fighter situation)

@@colbylacefield796 Not Cejudo's fault. Both Tj and Cruz should have done a better job at making it look like they are not out to the ref. Ref needed to make a quick call to save a fighter. In Tj's case, too many knockdowns and unanswered shots, good signs for the ref to call it. Only after the stop can someone call it early stoppage by looking at Tj's condition, but at the moment of the fight, it was actually a good call with all the signs. In Dom's case, too many unanswered shots. Also, a good sign to call a fight.
