Considering the price and the fact that 99.9% of races happen at a red light or straight line, this is by far the best value one could possibly get and can safely destroy most cars including exotics.
100% agree. $110k and runs low 9s at over 150mph in the quarter stock. Pretty crazy.
Now compare the quality and the handling along with breaking....tesla quality control is not even the same level as Mazda
Eh quality isn't the best but it's hit or miss. Some are great. Regarding braking and handling, I still say overall I'd prefer the Plaid with the track package. It's not far off from a Huracan when it comes to handling and braking and blows it away in acceleration, the characteristic that is the most noticable. And it's still is easy to drive and costs way less.

I know there's a difference between drag strip and road course, but both in reality are "tracks". There's a reason literally every drag strip has "xx at the track" events and talks about "track officials" and what vehicles are allowed on the "track".

@Kj4real most last well over 10 years. At this point they are designed to last the life of the vehicle. You can't think of it like cell phones with many charging cycles. Most people charge their electric vehicle once or twice a week. And EVs have MUCH better thermal management. And the cells themselves are designed to last longer. Of course there will be some failures, which is why battery warranties are so long but law. But typically >200k miles is normal.

I honestly wouldn't say way faster. The Huracan Performante did 6:52 at the Nurburgring, but this isn't a Performante. Also, the Plaid time at the Nurburgring isn't with the track package. I feel like the normal Huracan and the Plaid would have fairly similar total time, with the Plaid having MUCH higher top speeds at various points on the track.

A single iPad its not luxury whatsoever, but for the price it has to be missing some aspects I guess. When ur just cruising its so much more boring compared to being in a porsche or lambo. Which I've also be inside of. Way more of a experience at all times. Yea when u floor it u feel the instant torque but idk man, when u floor a high end sports car u feel like all eyes are on ur car ur the most important person on the road. Lol I know it's not true but just the attention a loud car comes with makes it cooler to drive IMO. I feel most others seem to think the same in car groups. Only tesla owners defend tesla. @@shaybapple thats why you mod it. track wheels, track model v2, brake upgrade, a trackable steering wheel, wrap, and you'll be not far behind in terms of track performance. sure it looks a little boring, but honestly making these cars your own with mods makes the experience so much more fun and engaging instead of sticking with the way it currently looks because it "looks aggressive enough, it doesnt need it". then it starts resembling tuners and track cars (not including power mods of course)

after looking at alot of the comments and being that the tesla is in the $80-90k range im sorry but no argument can beat the fact that the tesla is the better car for the price... in the daily commute it beats literally everything.. the track excuse wont work cause lets be real u not tracking your lambo.. u probably bring it to the drag strip (where its slower than the plaid lol) once or twice in the 1st month and thats it for the life of the car.. You are not gonna be sending it around a technical track with corners shouting "im faster than a tesla around this corner!!" so that argument is out... buy a $7k -20kexhaust and say "i love the sound u hear this guys" and spend an extra $50-150k to get a turbo kit from ugr or sheepy in hopes to beat one ... tesla plaid with track package can go 200mph so anyone saying the top speed is where electric loses is false u not going 230mph on the highway or any track unless u are trying to kill yourself or u are just plain stupid. it corners better than most cars and not many high speed corners where u can consistently do 130+mph with no traffic...

Track time? Are you referring to nurburgring time? Tbh the Plaid isn't a track car. It handles solid, but not like a lamborghini. But it's crazy quick. I'd take a crazy quick car that handles really well over a significantly slower car that handles incredibly well. It's rare that anyone would push them to their absolute limit on the street for handling, but you can almost always floor it for fun lol.

@@lukabosnjak3829 looked it up for nurburgring, as expected evs get destroyed. Production gasoline 6.35 electric 7.33 thats a whole min difference.... as expected current evs just can't compete on the race track, perhaps in the future if they can reduce heat and weight.

The Plaid has over 400 miles of range. Doing max acceleration runs reduce range, but it also has regen when slowing down so it gets some of it back. 250 runs at a quarter mile is still only around 65 miles so that'd be easy.

Why they still putting electric cars and gas cars against each other in drag races, its basically irrelevant at this point . 99% of the time the ev would win in the drag race(unless its up against a crazy modified muscle car) because they can deliver optimal power in under a second. Its like an unfair advantage!. Although, they may be quicker on the quater mile . It wasn't an EV that surpassed the 300mph mark😏

@@TechnicallyJeff I wouldn’t say so. The regular huracan has superior aero by far. The plaid just had the “american sedan with way too much horsepower” syndrome. It’s great at drag racing no doubt though
Check out some road course times. A plaid track package is about as quick as a normal Huracan, making it a drivers race at that point.
But it’s like saying “my microwave cooks food so much faster than your BBQ grill”. As a Tesla owner myself, I find the EV experience more sterile versus a supercar with all that sound and design behind it.
I hate that analogy lol. It's more like saying my from folks food faster than your smoker. Both are great, but one is faster and adds a little something.
For sure on the lunch and even top speed run the plaid will take the biscuit but on the track with technical corners and braking zone the plaid is still a lot slower the huracan is sub 7:10 car on the Nurburgring the plaid is +25 is slower then m5 csl and m4 comp on the Nurburgring

Lol obviously you're uneducated on the subject. Google Tesla Model S Plaid acceleration. Both vehicles top out around 200 mph. And the Plaid does the 0-150 portion before the Lambo is doing 120.

This is a regular Huracan. Based on track times at the nurburgring which is a very long track, they would be very close. At a smaller track it'd be even closer. Definitely a drivers race. And the plaid is quicker up to 160+ mph (the regular Plaid top speed) and the track package Plaid is quicker all the way up to 200 mph

Yes I have. I've owned a couple mustangs. My father restores cars (in the last year has had a cycle, torino, and fairlane. I like muscle cars, good sounding engines and exhausts, cams, etc. But I also like to go fast and I like tech. My EV6 GT is significantly quicker, more feature packed, and more reliable than 99% of muscle cars out there - old and new. I like the new Mustang GT Dark Horse for example. And my EV6 GT is quicker, has more tech, and is more practical with more interior and cargo space. And costs less to "fill up".
Go to the Nurburing KZhead channel to see how bad cornering this car is. Even an Alfa Quadrifoglio Giulia beats the Tesla's time 7:32 with Rear wheel drive and 510 hp, Lol Comparing this car to a Lamborghini...To Not to mention Lamborghini's history in motorsport... the real thing not this bullsh@t. Not mention that these electric cars can't last an entire race. Even with the track pack the Tesla made a time 7 : 25.

Elitè car manufacturers like Lamborghini had long history of engineers, famous designers, and experience in motorsport for many years. Supercars are expansive above all for this : performance and quality of construction, aerodynamic studies, and the best engineers in the industry. Go to see Lambo or Ferrari factory in Italy. The workers are all graduates and earn a lot working in these factories.
I agree lamborghini has a lot more of a focus there. But I wouldn't say that's the difference. The difference is the target for the vehicle. A plaid can be daily driven by a grandma and run low 9s in the quarter. It's great all around. A lamborghini is absolutely not lol.

I don't think so. Maybe could push more power through the motors than the manufacturer allows but that wouldn't be great for reliability
I am convinced that, until someone else builds a 100% factory stock car that runs 9s straight off the showroom floor, we don’t need to see any more of these, “Plaid vs…” videos. Once you’ve seen one, there is no need for any more.
