@@raidenwaranes1898 Plus more successful in terms of trophies etc
But not his talent
Lol
juju 665554 ronaldo spent years out due to injury and that changes you. Ronaldo at the age of 18-19 was a better player than most players would ever be. And by most I mean probably every player ever apart from 10. If he could’ve gone without injuries he would’ve been the absolute best. Goals and trophies aren’t a good way to see who’s the goat in a situation like this. This man was the most explosive, deadly, talented and skillful player of all time... and he was 20 at that time. A career that ended too soon
The thing is : THE FENOMENO never had "prime" He is compared to prime pele and prime maradona while he is only a teenager .. his injury occurred when he didnt even reach 24 year old .. the age of prime mostly happen at 25 or 26 or even 27 .. and even that he came back at 2002 and was the best player in the whole world .. imagine if he played the world cub without these terrible injuries .. THIS IS SCARY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT EL FENOMENO ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Every sports prime years starts from 27 to 31 years.
His first injury(because the 'big' injury on Lazio-Inter game was his comeback after months of rehabilitation from this injury) was when he only had 23 years 2 months, almost at 22 years. I think there aren't, werent, and not gonna be, a player who reach that level at that age, and the potential he had was even higher. For me that doesnt matter, he is the G.O.A.T.
Very good point of view. And it is a true.
You're absolutely right.
He never had a prime because he is the god of football ⚽️
Still the GOAT for those who know football. If you doubt me ask Zidane, Buffon, Maldini, Mourinho, Crespo, Eto'o, Torres, Owen, Henry, Ferdinand, Marcel Desially, or even the egomaniac Zlatan Ibrahimovic. R9 is your favourite player's favourite player.

Dude before he was 23 years old: 58 goals in 59 games for Cruzeiro at 16/17 years old (at a time where for example 11 of the 22 members of the 94 WC winning squad for Brazil played in Brazil) -54 goals in 58 games for PSV at 17/19 years old -47 goals in 49 games for Barcelona at 19/20 years old -40 goals in 51 games for Inter at 20/22 years old while already dealing with tendinitis by the 98/99 season -38 goals and 20 assists in 58 games for Brazil -Won the 97 Copa America while scoring the winning goal at minute 80 against the greatest ever Bolivia side at La Paz and was named player of the tournament -Won the 99 Copa America being the top scorer -Won the 97 Confederations cup -Was named the 1998 WC best player -Was named best player in both the 96/97 la liga and 97/98 Serie A in his first year at both More than the stats, it was the way he played, it was indeed alien like. For people to understand, by the mid to late 90s, right around the 1996-1998 , we had a lot of legends playing, some in their prime or others just after or before it; Baggio, Romário, Rivaldo, Zidane, Del Piero, Nedved, Maldini, Figo and others... AND BY THAT TIME NO ONE EVEN QUESTIONED who the best player in the world was, there wasn't even a glimpse of a debate, that was the kind of level this dude was playing at around age 20-21; the thing is he never actually got to hit his prime, his true prime would probably be around the 2002 WC and the years after it with him being fully mature as a player and still having the physical explosion but it never happened sadly. Every single one, some of the greatest ever called him the best player they've ever seen, Buffon, Thuran, Cannavaro, Nesta, Vieri, Batistuta, Maldini, Zidane, hell even Mourinho and Bobby Robson. That's no disrespect to anyone else, just how good it is. In the words of Buffon: ''the fact he's not remembered as the greatest player ever is one of the tragedies in football'' Hell, even Maradona himself (who for me is probably with Pelé and Messi the most talented trio of players ever) said a year ago in a probgram with Ronaldo he always though Ronaldo would have overcome him and Pelé and be the greatest ever if not for the injuries
Very well said. And many legends praise r9 for good reason! Check out our video on his one season at Barca as well!
There are so many people who believe that if Ronaldo didn’t get injured, he would be the greatest player in history. However, here’s the thing. Being able to stay healthy is one of the most important aspects that makes a player legendary, and Ronaldo simply didn’t have it. From his teenage days to early 20s, he was on track to break the all time goal scoring record. He mostly accomplished that by operating as a penalty box poacher, he would wait inside the area to score tap ins & headers off his teammates’ passes. Once he arrived at Inter, he was asked to play a more challenging style in which he would singlehandedly lead the attack by organizing the buildup and dribbling past opposing players to create opportunities. That’s when he started to run into the injury problems that forced him to decline and retire early. His body simply couldn’t handle the stress of playing that type of game. Due to this, we can’t use injury as an excuse to why Ronaldo never reached his potential. If he was actually talented, he wouldn’t have been injured so severely.
@@USMNTsoccerELITE That's the most ignorant thing I ever heard someone say while trying to make a serious analysis jseus christ. There's so much worng in what you said that one can't even begin ''He mostly accomplished that by operating as a penalty box poacher, he would wait inside the area to score tap ins & headers off his teammates’ passes'' OH MY GOD, YOU JUST DESCRIBED THE EXACT OPPOSITE STYLE TO HIM EVEN WAY BEFORE HE ARRIVED AT INTER SINCE HIS CRUZEIRO AND PSV DAYS AT 17/18 HE WAS A FORWARD WHO USED TO DROP DEEP AND COME GET THE BALL IN HIS WON TEAM'S HALF AND CARRY IT TOWARDS THE ATTACKING ZONE. JESUS CHRIST JUST WATCH HIS MATCHES WITH CRUZEIRO, PSV, BARCA AND BRAZIL UNTIL 1997... dude you have absoluteyl zero idea what you are talking about goodness me the things we read here on the comments are really weird, the man actually described Gerd Muller when trying to talk about Ronaldo
Luckymag 2016 How am I ignorant? I am telling the truth. You people always let your nostalgia blind you from reality when it comes to Ronaldo. He was not a very influential striker at all during open play. He rarely got involved in his team’s build up & was incapable of taking on opposing players 1v1. He always lost the ball when trying to dribble so most of the time, he was asked to wait inside the penalty area to score a tap in or header. Even though he was totally a one-dimensional poacher, he was far from a clinical finisher. He had a poor goal per shot ratio as he always missed the target & squandered scoring chances, for example, during the 2002 World Cup final. He relied heavily on penalties to bring up his goal tally & despite performing poorly in most of his matches, he always found a way to score a big goal causing his fans to forget his failures. But make no mistake, he was no where near as good as he was made to be & is no where close to legend status.
Luckymag 2016 Just because you disagree with me doesn’t make me a troll. I saw Ronaldo play during his days with AC Milan and Corinthians, he didn’t impress me at all. I honestly don’t believe he deserves to regarded as a legendary soccer player. For me, he’s not top 100 of all time. He was overweight, slow & had no dribbling skills. I really don’t understand why he got so much hype as a once in a generation superstar. Thierry Henry was far better than him honestly.
His skills were out of this world, we truly missed out on greatness
Yea he could have been the GOAT

@@Unam469 He was great after his injury But he was not the same Ronaldo in his teen years and early 20's and his only season in Barcelona is the best version of Ronaldo as 19/20 year old he scored 47 goals in 49 games for Barcelona and that is out of this world
Can you explain to me what makes Brazilian Ronaldo such a great player? I don’t see anything special. He was honestly a one dimensional poacher who’s reputation became way overblown for scoring 2 tap ins in the World Cup Finals & an offside goal in the 1998 Champions League Finals vs Lazio. In the modern game, if you rate any forward's first 5 seasons in professional football at the age of 16 onwards, R9 arguably has the best numbers. He was on another level.
He wasn't called The Phenomenon for nothing 😉
His life story must become a movie. It's so amazing the way he came back from injury to become world champion. And, by the way, he didn't retire after Milan, but after playing for Corinthians.
He retired from EU when he left Milan.

@@USMNTsoccerELITE For you to say that Ronaldo was slow, had no dribbling and is not even top 100 borders on trolling. Are you trolling or are you serious? I grew up in the '90s, Ronaldo's influence was felt worldwide, every kid wanted to be him, he single-handedly influenced an entire generation of footballers as evident by the quotes in my original comment. I've met people in my life who were completely clueless about soccer but knew who Ronaldo was and admired him. Ronaldo was a phenomenon, he quit school at 11, by 12 he was widely recognized as a prodigy, by 19 he was doing things people have never seen before. I'm not going to continue with this comment because I'm not sure if you're trolling or not. Your last comment is blasphemous, just watch interviews with legendary players who played with him. They will all tell you he was the best. There's a reason for that.
The best player ever. When I first saw a video with highlights of him I couldn't believe my eyes. I was convinced Messi was the best ever growing up in his era, but immediately changed my mind when I saw this phenomenon. Since that day I watch videos about him almost every day. I just can't get enough of him. That's why it's so sad he got injured.
His highlights are incredible. He is a pure joy to watch!! A true legend

If you watch his Barcelona highlights, you would swear that it was a bull running not a human. This dude was a machine in a human form. It's sad when ppl compare R9 to Cr7 and Messsy.
He is my favorite player of all time. I'd skip school to watch him play live. I wouldn't miss a moment when he had the ball, watching closely, waiting for him to create a moment of magic. And he almost never failed to mesmerize me. His pace, his tricks, faints, stepovers or dodging animalistic tackles. After each match, me and my friends would gather to play football, trying to do what Ronnie did on the pitch that day. When I hear Ibrahimovic, salah, ronaldinho, messi and many other today's top players were inspired by Ronaldo like me , it gives me goosebumps. And I'm guessing most people who watched him play feel the same. No one had seen a player like him before. And many have not seen a player like him since. He had unmatched innate talent and ability. An alien. But he played the game for fun and you could see the happiness on his face or in his smile. He played the game differently. Beautifully and passionately. Even when he was playing for corinthians, overweight and broken after 3 career ending injuries, he smiled, he enjoyed the game, and entertained the fans until his knees could not take it anymore. Most folks criticize him for not being consistent, yet fail to see the joy he brought to the fans (fit or unfit). They fail to see how he fought back the worse injuries, and came back to be the top player in the world, guiding his team to WC victory. They say he had a world class team behind him, but don't know that world class team struggled until the last games to qualify for that world cup without Ronnie. I hope the comparisons and constant who is the GOAT argument ends so that everyone can enjoy and appreciate all the greats who have continued to tell the beautiful story of football. If stats and numbers replace the passion for the game, then football's is not the same. He always encourages players and the fans to stop the comparison, instead focus on spreading the love for football. I see some folks insult CR7, Messi and R9 in the comments section and that breaks my heart. We all love the same sport. Let's enjoy it together! Thank for the video, and telling his story.

You can praise Ronaldo all you want, but the truth is, he never managed to impress during the matches. There was nothing outstanding about his ability, most of the game he would wait inside the penalty area to score tap ins. He wasn’t clinical either as he needed a ton of chances before finally scoring. He had no impact on his team.

180 goals in 200 pro games from the age of 16 to 20. For Cruizero, PSV, Barcelona and His first year at Inter. Not to mention two time world cup winner, 3 Copas Americas...I have seen enough. He is the best I have ever seen without even seeing him at his peak.
The Best striker no one is even near to his skill, dribble, power n speed. I watch his video a hundred times but still couldn't get enough of it...
The best I ever saw.
Just stop with the nonsense. Greatest player on Earth? He wasn’t even the best player of his era. Henry was superior than him by miles.
@@USMNTsoccerELITE 😂😂😂
Hattrick Kane 88 😂😂😂
Rafael Santin The greatest injustice in soccer history was Ronaldo Nazario winning 4 FIFA Men’s Player Of The Year awards and Thierry Henry winning 0. I don't believe Ronaldo ever played at a level high enough to be considered world-class, let alone win the Ballon D'or as the absolute best player. He was a below average player at best and was only relevant for maybe 4 years. Henry on the other hand was absolutely prolific in every way. He deserved to win the Ballon D’or every year he played. FIFA has no credibility.
Hattrick Kane 88 its fine to be a lunatic, really dont mind it.
THE BEST EVER
He is the reason, billions of people started watching and playing football, and I'm one of them. Ronaldo - The Phenomenon. For me the best ever player to play this beautiful game. G.O.A.T.
Ronaldo fenômeno The Best King 👑 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾
Best ever hands down
R9 is a greatest footballer than any other footballer in history of this game
Pure class from United fans to applaud him
Incredible player..suffered a few set backs which stopped him succeeding more. Still a legend!
No player could round goal keepers than Ronaldo9 👋🏿👋🏿
He was a keeper's worst nightmare in one on one situations!
how about a wizard RIVALDO?
Indeed!
Ronaldo was best player in my generation
A simply special man I had the distinct honor to watch as a kid...........
People always say there was and never will be another Messi or CR7, in fact there are a lot. The difference is that nearly all of those player don't have the luck to never be injured for a long time. That's what makes Messi and CR7 so special.
He is still the best with the injury!
You could take the 3 best defenders ever, combine their abilities and you STILL wouldn’t have been able to have stopped him.
Best player I've ever seen!!!!!! And he did it in a harder era and the best league there has ever been. Italian league in the 90s wow
And to think how many horrific injuries he had to endure!!! The best ever!!!
Ronaldo Phenomenon was the BEST I have ever seen. Even Lionel Messi agreed and said “Ronaldo was my hero. He was the best striker I’ve ever seen. He was so fast he could score from nothing, and could shoot the ball better than anyone." And Messi was so right.
Almost great players in this era learn his movements...true phenomenon.
Football god
The best football player ever.
He still the greatest ever
The greatest ever
Without a doubt
leopoldo b Can you explain to me what makes Ronaldo Nazario so special? Everyone says he’s the best that’s ever lived but personally I can’t see what makes him outstanding. I always felt he was an ordinary striker who’s reputation became way overblown after scoring in the 1998 Champions League final as well as 2 in the 2002 World Cup final. Aside from that, he’s not really that impressive.
@@USMNTsoccerELITE he didn't even play in the CL final. With this knowledge please stay away from football.🤣🤣
I only know 3 GOATs: Pele Maradona Fenomeno You gotta have that World Cup baby!
Word cup isn't a personal achievement, it's a team achievement so your argument doesn't make much sense!
@@jashargubetini2477 a goat would lead his country to a wc win like Maradona did even having a "shit" team
Not Maradona. He cheated with handball and drug.
Yeah but it must be earned through LEGS
Cruijff
Ronaldo season..96,97,98,99 the greatest alien ever..
Unbelievable skill and technique he was a complete centre forward. For me he was the best I've seen.
R9 is the best in soccer history
don’t call it soccer call it football
@@fightingforce8498 wkwkwkw no world cup? What do you mean? What about 2002 World Cup?
@@nono_ami hey sorry, I see wrong .
@@fightingforce8498 Oh I see.. Thanks👍
All true, he was the best ever

Some of his dribbles when he was overwheight raised my eyebrows.. He was also good one on one with the goalkeeper... Great player r9
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I was looking for a "Ronaldo 101"-style summary and this video was perfect! Subscribed.
How good was the videogame R9? Lets see... Strike: 99/100 Dribbling: 99/100 Power: 99/100 Accuracy: 99/100 So unfair! lol
You forgot : - Speed : 99 - Accélération : 99
R9 is still the best ever even with his injuries. Just imagine what we would be saying without the injuries
Stop with the nonsense of thinking he would be the best if he weren’t injured. An aspect of being a legend is to be able to stay healthy throughout your career, yet Ronaldo didn’t have that. If he were actually talented, he wouldn’t have been injured so much.
R9 is the most talented player ever.. The best in the world The Phenomeno
Cristiano.. All day... Longevity speaks!... 💪 💪 💪 💪
The best ever.
No doubt about that ❤️
Best player ever ? YES. Senza alcun dubbio ! Ronaldo fenomeno il più grande della storia !
Simply the best player of all time..
Rivaldo was just as much important in WC 2002 as R9, and he ALSO was returning from injury. About 3 months before the tournament, there were serious doubts that both would actually go to Korea/Japan. And yet they scored 13 goals combined .... crazy
Could be an upcoming video!
Rivaldo most underrated player Without him brazil couldnt win 2002 wc and copa america 99
Rivaldo is the real meaning of no media and great football
@@leonardosantos766 👍👍👍👍👍 Also he big example of the big game player
his skills were so good, not only did he breaks opponents ankles, knees and hips, he had to go and break his own knees. its a joke but i think his increasing weight during the last injury was what hurt him. hd did a lot of fast stepovers so i think his tendons and ligaments couldnt keep up with the fast shifts. especially in the older time fields were the cleats and fields werent optimal to play in. if they had the tech we have now, he wouldve played to his fullest potential.
Phenomenal speaks for itself. He still is the real Ronaldo.
R9 is one of the GOATs. The best striker I have seen. An absolute beast and best amongst men. He played against greatest defenders in an era when physical tackles were normal. Only the R9 could survive that devastating career threatening knee injury and come back to win the World Cup by scoring a brace in the grand final after just 2 years is magnificent.
Still the GOAT!! THANK YOU
🐐🐐
He is still the best striker ever
Zidane and R9 and CR7 are the clutchest players ever
Thanks for the lovely videos and definitely he is the best player ever play football
He had an amazing career what are yas all talking about.. He was one of the greatest is that not a fair tribute to him
He did have an amazing career but imagine if he did not get hurt. It would have been even more insane.
Gahhhh it's always so sad to see a great player get injured ☹️☹️☹️
a shame to see a great loss :/
I lost my passion wacthing football, after R9 got injury in his comeback vs lazio
90's era defenders were no joke, especially those tough defenders in serie a...and with a playstyle like R9, he surely would be the target for all of his opponents...his explosive power also made it worst for his legs, like what kaka experienced... He was too young back then, his body couldn't handle his playstyle
I met him in a friends birthday in Brazil, junior baiano “ Brazil defender 1998” also was at the party! The Nicest guy, rumble.... A true champ!
Goat striker in my book. Skills at speed and with great strength. In attack he played as if it was the last 10s of the game and he had to produce a miracle goal. A constant threat who was unnmatched.
When old Trafford gives him standing ovation in cl finals... Means you cant compared him with anybody else... That pitch seen all but not him..
The greatest don't always have long careers. Look at tyson in boxing. My fav player of all time.
GOAT 🐐 ⚽️🔥♥️💎 No one like you fenomeno! Strength,speed,dribbling.. You was not from this world 🌍 Thank you for this magical memory’s 🙏🏽
For me He will always be the Greatest of all time. ..A team of his own..What he did @ that age was just phenomenal and even after the injury he was still oh phenomena..My idol 🙏🏻
don't forgot a wizard RIVALDO, he was also a column in 2002
Beast 🔥🔥🔥
Zidane and R9 are the greatest for me if not for the injury R9 would have surpassed zizou, we don't know we never will
ZIDANE OVERRATED, WATCHED HIM IN JUVE , FRANCE98 HE WASNT THAT GOOD
@@m.a6141 I'm not hating on u it's just my deduction. He was so good in juve that Real bought him and was the highest transfered player at that time, a transfer record actually. I find the France one really funny, he single handedly controlled the attack both in 98 World Cup scoring deciders in the finals vs BRAZIL and 2000 euros taking out the big teams like Spain all alone, ge was sadly injured in 02 WC but came back in 06 his last WC to captain the national team to the finals.... I'm not French but in France they adore zizou as much and even more than platini, why are u talking about things u probably haven't seen
Zidane red carded last game. So Ronaldo still better than him.
true as it is sa(i)d
Zizou what!!!? Are you insane??? How can you even compare Zizou to R9... R u even serious?? We compare R9 to Pelé , Maradona...
ronaldo had amazing tricks like no other. For me he is the most talented the world has ever seen.Loved him as he changed the way i view the game
He is truly a super hero i watched games just Because of him. In late 90's back in India there were not so many broad casting channels so thanks to youtube bring old memories
