Grew up on a big wheat farm canning, gardening, smoking, and preserving, but never collected "sap." Always learning something new from these Ukrainian housewives! I still wonder about her new baby. I noticed that there are no bottles or diapers, carriage or anything there. Maybe she moved to her parents home nearby and they just used this for filming now.
Could this gentleman possibly be Katya’s father? They look alike thru eyes. I’m so glad she can get outside and enjoy the forest. She works so hard and misses her husband so much. I pray that Russia stops this stupid war, so all the soldiers can come home to their families where they belong. Did Katya do these paintings? I enjoy watching all these talented women from Ukraine, they are all so talented and unique. May God bless and keep them all safe from the evil one.

I love your videos. You have a simple, uncluttered, life. You don't have a lot of "unnecessary stuff" in it. I like that. The stew looks incredible. Dried apricots and prunes in that. I never thought of adding that. I'm sure it tastes wonderful. I'm curious about something; what does Birch sap taste like. I saw you put orange slices in there to help flavor it, but I've never drank that before. but again, thank you for the video. A pleasure to watch❤

For any that try collecting Birch sap. Remember to seal the tap hole with a stick slightly larger then the tap hole when you are finished. Otherwise you will kill the tree
