Love your topic here, and it is very well said ,👍 and 100% get the topic of the strong dog with in the tuff environment ,Livestock guardian dogs are indeed in a different level when it comes to harsh enviroments and bitter cold tempertures ,they are just on a different level with that, they have to be the Shepard's of the land ( that's were that so independent nature comes from , I'm in Washington state ( Pacific north west in the northern territory and the winters here are know to be pretty ruff and tuff, we get those artic blasts with way negative below temps over night ,like 20 plus below ,last year at this time it was a almost negative 40 below at my home ( my dog is out side year around 24/7 ,his desire to be inside is 100% non existent ,and he handles those fridgid tempetures just fine, well used to them and still out and about doing his job and before anyone starts screaming animal abuse ,he has 2 different houses he has access to when ever he wants them stuffed with straw ,( one of his favorite spots is up high on the snow plow piles and up on the hill behind the barn ,LGD dogs love those high points ,they serve as a look out tower for them. Just like so many others ,in this family what you have in life is not a giving ,it has to be earned ,that is the way I was raised.
