Iam really very happy for Badosa bcoz she is a good player obviously but has a lovely personality which adds an element of Glamour to the Sport. Which is something every brand needs as well !!!

I’ve seen a lot of criticism of Krejcikova’s character in the past year, which I don’t get at all. She is a very graceful winner and loser.
I think Badosa is very easy to get along as every player is her friend 🥰
I think that women's tennis for the first time in a long while may become more interesting to watch than men's tennis. AO is going to be fire !
Indeed. Zverev, Medvedev and all the other serve bots are destroying the show in male tennis, unfortunately. And the reason is simple: racquet power only rises; no limits, therefore tall players have a huge advantage. Just check the top 30 players: Medvedev, Zverev, Berretini, Hurkacz, Opelka, Khachanov, Isner, Fritz, Isner. All 2 metres or more.
But there's also Diego Shwartzman and Dan Evans who are also Top 30 and they are both under 5'9 , Diego with the exception of Zverev and Medvedev puts down serve bots. Also its not so much the raquet power, its the general athletism and modern training routines we have now, You'd never, ever find a player like Medvedev 30,20 even 10 years ago, the guy moves better than defensive players from the 90s and can rally with the best of them.
@@razgriz1ne1ne48 I think there's some truth in that, for sure. Tall guys used to not be able to move. But now...that model has been broken, for sure. You could almost make an argument for have separate height classes in men's tennis. Would kill the David v. Goliath drama, of course, so I doubt the ATP would ever go for it. But still...
Well it's a lot more fun to bet on Women's tennis, that's for sure.

Badosa's stronger service game, athleticism, and great D got her through this tight contest. Krejcikova's court sense, ball placement and cross-court game is second to none (as is her touch at the net as a doubles master), but it wasn't enough this time around.

When a game is very close like this it’s not about who’s better or stronger. It’s about two things: holding nerve and luck, at key moments.
I can't say anything else. Perfect analysis. Both players are great champions and they show what tennis could be. I am yearning to seeing the future matches between these two.

@@tehatte couldn't have said it better myself. If it got to a third set tiebreak, then they were evenly matched on a day. Their strengths were not why they won, but why they were able to stay in the contest. The winning depended on nerves and luck as you said.
this girl paula makes me feel sooo proud not only for her game, but for being so humble and respectful. just like many other spanish superstars as nadal, gasol, márquez (despite what rossi's hooligans may say about him) etc. this is what sports are really about: respect. congrats to barbora too. insane tennis and heartwarming attitude from both!

Wow Badosa has been on fire lately, she rightly deserves this title, her hitting, athleticism and shot selection are top-notch, she also seems to be a very nice person off the court as well, very humble and graceful. Love her, more women like her in the WTA! ♥

If she had really become humble and unassuming, she wouldn't have exhibited an austere demeanour to Muguruza. She had a vast disrespect to Garbiñe Muguruza. She tries to look downtrodden with her personality but she smoothly beguiles the media and tennis aficionados.

Badosa, Sabalenka, Stopenko, Andreescu, Putinseva, Siniakova among others have the most disrespectful 'Come on!' of the circuit. Some of them have strength and talent as well.
@Paula Badosa is a great champion and a better person! Barbara was a tremendous challenge and both deserved the trophy! It seemed that Paula played a little bit lower than the level she showed against Kasatkina, but the truth is that Barbara played a terrific match. Congratulate both for the match you gave to us.
