I won't go into all the details so you can be surprised when you go to see their show in August but I will tell you that this was a concert I will never forget for the rest of my life. Also this is just me being a fan but Anderson saw me in the audience at the end of the show and waved at me so that added a little more memory to the experience for me lol. Can’t believe I never listened to this full album! It’s so great, Bruno Mars is really a legendary artist.
This band and record are my everything right now. The only shining light in the shitshow that is 2022.
First, shout out to the backup singers. Always on point! I absolutely love how Bruno & Anderson switch up their flow, runs in live performances. Bruno's is more obvious b/c he has a powerhouse voice w/great range & dynamic riffs. But, I am always listening for Anderson's placement of his switch ups b/c his silky yet gritty sound is necessary to round out the group, keep the songs balanced. He adds just the right amount of flavor. They're a special blend of several genres. I hear the influences. They're exceptionally gifted in their own right & are a perfect match. Every other artist might as well pack up and go home. This time belongs to Silk Sonic. I love how they demonstrated how much of a live performer they both are. They could've easily just sang the song by the book, but instead they put a bunch of extra little twist in there to spice it up. When they go on tour my ticket's already bought.
