The screw heads, and even the threads, are nice and clean. Also this is a late model Volvo truck. I don’t see a toy like that being abandoned long enough to have that kind of weathering. Maybe an all new take on restoration videos is to do an episode of wreathing and then an episode of restoration.
This guy cracks me up. Purposefully messes these toys up so he has a video of "Restoring" them.

All of these "restoration" videos are fake. They just artificially weather them, clean and repaint. Not really restoration in my opinion.

At first I thought the gashes in the side of the truck were part of the original design aesthetic, then when he cleaned it it sort of looked like the “holes” were done with a cutting tool on a Dremel?

To be honest I'm sick of those videos where things are artificially weathered just to be "restored". This is taking over and it has to stop.

Like I bet this guy buys a bunch of toys off of eBay and has them just soaking in his garage in some nasty fucking shit and when it's time for a video he just pulls a toy out
Same you can also see the blade marks from what ever saw he used to cut the holes in the trailer. Being honest though the weathering doesn't look to bad. Could've done away with all the brush marks with using a small air gun.
He does it for fun and for entertainment. If you don’t like it then why do you keep watching it and commenting.

До ремонта было лучше. Я молчу про покраску, но присрать моторчик и банку от рэдбула.... Такие модели как эта полагаю должны быть похожи на оригинальные автомобили, но я не разу не видел полуприцеп на котором вращается с бешеной скоростью банка рэдбула.

People are getting very creative dirty down these models to restore them! Just show us the model then restore or customize it! Because you do a good job at that. If you remove the tape while the paint is a little tacky, before it dries you will find you get a much cleaner lines and it comes off easier.

I skimmed over the video but still realized this was not even a mediocre attempt, it was a very poor attempt and a low grade fix up. I’d have to say, the job you did at trashing the truck was better than your attempt to fix it.

I was thinking the same! This model is botched. I've had never seen a related video on KZhead with that less effort. It's a joke. All the masked areas are screwed up. Bleeding paint at every inch of the model. As a third-grader, I had more skills than him.

I noticed that you had some paint bleed under your masking tape. You can avoid this problem in your future products by using Pledge Floor Care. It is a clear acrylic floor finish available just about everywhere. You just use a small paintbrush and apply the Pledge along the edge of the tape. This helps seal the tape and prevent the paint from bleeding under.

@@thelenny everybody is able to it. The paint job is more than just simple. Look at the lines of the masking tape. The paint is bleeding in at every inch of the model. You can barely see the scratches underneath the paint. I never saw a paint job by a modeler with this less effort. He put only one light source in the trailer that shines through the holes at the edges. This "restoration" is a joke. This model is botched.

when you finished it needed a restoration, the weathering you done to it first to make it look junked looked better because you cant see how bad your painting really is.

It's not like he's actually destroying the models. I mean, basically he's painting them in grimey colors, cuts an easily fixable hole and then washes them and repaints them. If you want to be amazed at restorations, go watch Matchbox Garage, Marty's Matchbox Makeovers or baremetalHW.

Видно что сначало сам сломал, помазал лаком типа ржавчина и все токое, болтики то новые,
Полностью согласен. Посмотрев начало так же подумал. Видно что модель специально приведена в такое состояние для того что бы отреставрировать. Нанесен эффект ржавчины, грязи и сверху закреплено лаком. В моделизме есть такая тема ,,винтажить,, модели, делать их якобы грязными, ржавыми, ломаными и т.д. В данном случаи это очевидно.

Мне вот интересно. Зачем всяким г измазывать машину, а потом типа чистить?! На прицепе дырки заклеить шпаклей, мля, она даст просадку через время. Проще было врезать пластик по форме отверстия и минимизировать шпаклю.
I love how delicate you are disassemble the "rusty" pieces and the brain you use to clean these in a tube with that amount of water. The hole was there, just close it
