Simon Pegg looks back at Shaun of the Dead: ’We literally paid the zombies a pound’ | British GQ
It actually scares me to remember that it isn’t the mid 2000s anymore and Simon Pegg has actually aged...
Same here, Saw this in movie theaters when i was in 6th grade and will never forget it! Still my top 10 favorite movies ever.
yes he has..
Its nice to see someone saying this about him. Most people seem to not be able to remember that this film is around 15 yearsold and think the poor guy is extreamly ill. Meanwhile he looks like your avarage overworked, tired old British guy. Plus he is almost 50.
its a scary thought
And Diane is now Auntie Hilda in Netflix's new Sabrina Spellman's show :c
"Extras often moan, but these ones were doing it on purpose"
Why do people get so many likes just from saying the same thing in the video?
@@yayeet4842 because it's funny

Kids... he’s not bored. He’s not tired. He’s a near 50 year old man being lit mercilessly by the GQ cameraman, watching s film he’s watched more in an editing bay than you’ve ever watched anything in your whole life (including your childhood phase of rewatching a Disney movie every day for a year).
Also training with a trainer for some new movie apparently. That’s why he’s so thin/muscular

Theres literally another video by the same channel in the recommended videos to the side that has simon pegg seemingly doing the exact same thing and commenting on Shaun of the Dead the same year this video was released, so he's probably done loads of these
“We all thought it would be funny to relentlessly beat and old man to death whilst ‘Don’t stop me now!’ played.” - Simon Pegg on Shaun of the Dead

Isha Aguilera I never got why it was so funny XD Like it’s on random so the next song wasn’t picked by a person, but is that the joke? I don’t get it >_
@@DeathnoteBB I think it's reference to earlier in the film when Eds trying to comfort Shaun after Liz dumps him and a super soppy song comes on, can't remember the name of it but it starts "If you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me". "I'm quite all right, Barbara, I ran it under a cold tap." - Bill Nighy's performance was Oscar-worthy.
How were the neighbors? A bit bitey.
the very obvious one that may have flew over everyone's head was that Shaun's mum is named Barbara and Ed shouted to the phone saying "WE'RE COMING TO GET YOU BARBARA!"

I still associate Dont Stop me Now with Shaun of the Dead. Everytime the chorus comes on I think of the clicking with the switches and the light outside. Love this movie so much.

"Return of the living Ed" should be the sequel!! Ed gets loose and wreaks havoc on London!! Shaun to the rescue!!
Or at least a short film bonus
And he becomes the king of the zombies
That's actually a pretty cool name for a sequel
Simon Pegg is honestly my hero. Hes a massive geeky nerd who has gotten to make fun goofy movies and take part in the biggest geekdoms ever. Hes a hard worker who treats all the people around him fantastically based on the reports. I love the man

I'm glad Simon has cleared up the Boogaloo/Winchester issue, as a North London native I've had many arguments with friends over this AND I WAS RIGHT.
What is the official story on that? A lot of American fans of the Cornetto Trilogy never understood the Pub situation in real life.
@@xTWOTONTIMx well, there is a pub in Highgate (near where I live) called the Boogaloo, which used to go by a different name and it's apparently where Shaun of the Dead was conceived. The confusion comes because there is a pub called The Winchester that's not that far away, so people think that is the pub the movie is based on, but it's all lies and deception!

I don’t know why but every time Simon smiled when watching the scene made me happy because you could truly see how proud he was of his and Edgar’s creation and rightly so!
