True Geordie wouldn't have 2 million subs if it weren't for youtube, I understand that talent outgrows the contract/platform and it creates a friction, but at the end of the day Francis wouldn't be a famous fighter if it wasn't for a promotions taking him on (UFC), simple.

The only problem is that UFC is mainstream. They pay less but bring more opportunity because everyone knows the UFC, if your big in the UFC then comes the sponsorship deals, media deals, you get the celebrity status somewhat. So if these fighters that are risking there lives and health … if they get hurt do they get disability or unemployment? And if they are self contractors why don’t they have the option to pursue other ventures without the UFC reaching into there pocket? Sounds like they are getting taken advantage of left and right . Every week you see UFC releasing fighters except the ones that want to be released . I think it will become clear to everyone the ufc exploits their fighters. The comparison to ufc 100 was a great example of how the exploitation and greed is happening. The ufc have shareholders they report to. The continuing reach for profits at the expense of the fighters infers they do have a great business model. Possibly, their overheads are too high.

His contract restricts his ability to take full benefit of his achievements and skills. It's not really about legalities. It's about the UFC recognizing that it will benefit from changing its stance towards fighters. It's natural for the UFC to resist as it's natural for Mr Ngannou to persist. I predict a negotiated settlement whenever the UFC accepts that Mr Ngannou will not back down. At the moment, the UFC is testing his will, which is peculiar since Mr Ngannou is a great champion and being a champion is mostly about a fighter's willpower.
