I'm a fan of Stipe and Daniel but they literally held up the divison to make the second and third fight which arguably wasn't really needed and Francis had to wait when he could have fought either of those guys when they were champion

100% a bad decision Fury is playing with him and contradicting himself as per usual and is going to fight Usyk for obvious reasons instead but I’d rather see the usyk fight than the Francis fight

When Dana says “he wants to fight lesser opponents for more money,” that should bring up the question, “Why is the UFC heavyweight champion not among the highest paid fighters?” and also the question, “Would it be more noble if he went and got his ass kicked for free?”
Of course he does who can blame him, he doesnt wanna be fed to the wolves right away(Stipe and Jon). But UFC never really worked like that so its foolish to expect suddenly get a treatment of a boxing heavyweight champion. But UFC dropped the ball here, its obvious all Francis wanted is to be able to fight Fury all independent of UFC and they should have let him. Scumbags.

whether he wins or loses his next fight doesn't really matter - he's sticking up for what he truly believes in and is not letting money get in the way of that most people are not in a position to do that, so it's nice to see someone who could earn millions of dollars tell the UFC (Dana) to go f#@k themselves and at least try to be a better person...

Is it a mistake? Maybe. But the point is it’s his mistake to make.
The narrative between boxing and MMA baffles me. MMA fans always say that in boxing fans don’t get the fights they want to see and I’m pretty sure geordie has said this himself. He’s now stating like a lot of other fans around this fiasco that fights we want to see don’t get made anymore. Then you have boxing fans. Always have that fighter pay aspect to their argument. But it’s the top 0.1% who make stupid money in boxing. You can be a world champion for one of the lesser belts and be paid peanuts. In the UFC you get roughly the same money at a lower level I would assume. But champions always get that higher pay. I don’t really see that any sport has an edge they both have the exact same problems. Neither pays as well as it should and fights we want to see get made when it makes sense.

Win win situation. 1 boxing match could potentially more make him money than 3 UFC fights (at least 2). Better for health for a start. He'll have more eyes on him and he'll be able to get sponsorship. So, why not?
This is why I love Tyson furry his style is so weird and kinda looks silly despite the fact that he’s undefeated. He’s easy to overlook but that win against klitchko those fights against wilder with 1 draw and 2 wins is a testament of how hard it is to beat him. He can handle a bull like wilder and Ngannou is a fighter that would have a similar style to wilder but closer to a Mike Tyson if he can move as quick as Mike it might be a great fight.

I say mma, I know people that fight at the very bottom where you get knees and kicked in the head in the ground, get headbutted and eye gauged and it’s all legal. It's all well and good saying Francis has big power but in MMA he can wrestle, kick, elbow knee as well as punch with much smaller gloves on so if you were to take most of his MMA tools away from him and make him wear 10oz gloves you may find his punching power doesn't have the same effect in a boxing ring as it does in an octagon, imo if he wants to go into boxing he should cash out in the biggest fight for the most money as he hasn't got the time to start at the bottom and work his way up in boxing so he's better off rolling the dice for big money than risk coming up short against someone outside the top 15 for alot less than he'd get from the UFC

If he was marketed correctly, which is what TGs point was, he would easily be making the most money. If they promoted him and advertised him anywhere near as much as they did McGregor or Adesanya he would be making loads for them. He's the hardest hitting fighter ever, thats almost guaranteed knockouts which is what the casual and peripheral viewer generally wants to see. It's still the UFCs fault for Ngannou leaving
@@danielmarsh1376 The UFC marketed him as much as possible, it was in their interest to generate more money. The only real interesting thing about him is his life story, wich you know thanks to the UFC marketing. His fights were short and not too technical, his personality is almost non existent. He is simply not PPV material. I am sure the UFC offered him more money than what he generates, just to keep the champion and avoid all this bad press.
I hope he hasn't left the ufc to fight fury on fury's word.
