  • I can honestly say that I truly believe the Dagestanis and Khabib and his family are responsible for the UFC’s fighters having upped their game and discipline. MMA has evolved so much since they burst on the scene. Every division is FILLED with well rounded fighters like never before.

  • Dagestan Chronicles was hands down one of the best Sports related documentary series. It made me subscribe to this Art of a channel and made me a Khabib fan. What a human! So inspiring.     • Same here. Will Harris has evolved into a skilled filmmaker especially on documenting the routines and the lesser known side of these fighters and their general lifestyles. He has a strong bond with the Dagestan team as well. An artful channel, yeah.

  • *"Who cares"* , *"We already beat him"* , *"If King Kong can make 155 bring this guy here"* .. Khabib oozes with confidence and you can feel the boost of energy that Khabib brings when he joins the camp. I really feel worried for Volk this time around. He'll be fighting a confident, fully hydrated Islam with Khabib joining his camp.

  • I never get tired of Khabib giving some of that tough love to his guys. I aspire to be like him, to be kind, always there to help and give good advice, telling you what you need to hear, not always what you want to hear. I sometimes feel like i lack that figure in my life.

    • Dagestan has a good combat sport infrastructure. Combat sports are popular and some of these guys have been competing since they were toddlers. For that reason your always gonna have an advantage. In terms of “built differently” I’d give that to west Africans. Athletics, nba, nfl, soccer, boxing, mma etc. The only reason we don’t see more Jon Jones’s in MMA is because the NFL and NBA pay more. Think about it. Francis Ngannou made his pro debut at 27 just to point out an example. And no athletes like Jon Jones and Francis ngannou are not as rare as people may think. So much potential in the hood and in Africa.

  • Alhamdulillah. Islam seems happy when Khabib is around this time. As compared to last match vs Volk, Islam seemed down when Khabib wasn't there to support him. Islam never gives up. Im so glad to see them reunite once more. Tbh, the Team, the vibes and the energy really gives me goosebumps. They are Brothers forever. Lets go ! Islam gonna win.     • Let’s summarise what he did: 1. Was on a 10 fight UFC win streak 2. Fought a champion on a 11 fight UFC win streak (2 double digit UFC win streak has never been done in the history of the UFC before this fight- he fought a champion). 3. He then defended his title against a former 170 and 155 and now 145 champion on a 12 fight UFC win streak. To put this in context, it’s like Izzy fight prime Anderson silva, then fighting prime GSP and then after Silva pulls out he fights GSP again. Except GSP’s reach is even longer than Izzy’s. Nobody in the history of the UFC had the balls like Islam to fight a double digit UFC win streak fighter. He did it twice, back to back in 4 months. Both champions. Yet somehow he’s still not pound for pound number 1.

    • Volk has 1.5 weeks-notice, has had no time to bulk up for 155lbs, he's in front Islam's home crowd, and is under the UAE commission, who give the best possible conditions for the Dagestani weight bullies (Volk will literally be fighting 15lbs+ smaller than Islam)... how will Volk losing 'shut everyone up'?

  • I love how towards the end Islam makes the point about feeling energized again. Suddenly things can change and things get really exciting out of nowhere, it goes without saying this is going to be one very wild fight. I am sure these guys expect it, but we will see an entirely different Volk this time. This time the cards are really stacked against him, short notice, different country, no camp... I believe he will take more risks than ever and that might be what he needs to beat Islam. It goes without saying, Volk will do everything to get a finish this time.
