What a match. What a comeback from our 2021 champion 👏
US is ready to fight Russia in Ukraine and then there is Russian conquer at US open, lol what a irony.
@M yeah, well if I want to watch a bunch of college age men try and score I will go to a sports bar.🎾
Pathetic non competition, no Novak. Will go down as history as a sham.
@M we don't care.
@@paulrailton1511 lol nope. Watch again and listen to those crowds, and that's exactly how every tennis fans sounds like right now, we're all excited with the AO. Novak had a choice and he chose not to be there.
It was 4am in Mexico, Medvedev was 2 sets down, looked like he was struggling real bad, went to sleep. Goddamn do I regret it.
same here lol
u saw the super rare part, the rest was medvedev winning nothing out of ordinary
Lol, you never go to sleep, NEVER!! Really tho, my fav. slam by far and the toughest to stay up for, especially as the field narrows. East Coast, USA
Unbelievable match. Very high level and worth a longer highlights time. Hats off to both men. Dani has more experience of big matches.
Regardless of the outcome, FAA seems to have enjoyed this highly competitive match. As for Medvedev, his mentality is really at an unmatched level right now at this tournament 👏

This whole AO is incredible. The quality of play, the matches, the excitement. It’s truly electrifying to watch
This is turning out to be one of the most competitive grand slams in history, considering how many five setters have we seen till now. Although the higher ranked players won, who is to say Gael or FAA or Shapovalov wouldn't have won their respective matches.
It's the least competitive AO without the main competitor in last ten years. But some of the matches like Medvedev - Felix are great.
@@alexanderm128 There is a vacuum caused by decline and absence of players at the top hence there is intense competition to be the next big 4 or big 3.
@@alexanderm128 You just gotta laugh at another ornery Djocovid stan. 🤷🏽♂️🥴 😂🤣
@@alexanderm128 Didn’t hear you guys complaining when Djokovic was playing all of last year with Nadal, Federer, and Thiem all injured… but if you want to, I guess it’s fair to erase all of Djokovic’s 2021 since his competition was weak, so he has 17 slams now.
wtf asre you tlaking asbout ahahahah
Please Australia, we need an Extended EXTENDED edition of this match, most surely one of the best of this year
No, Ausi did NOT want to show the Victory of Russians Sportsmen. I check on Tennis Channel - nothing about Medvedev game, check on ESPN - NOTHING ! It is very biased attitude toward Russians. Same story in any sports. Let's see coming Winter Olympic games from China, how many prime time will aloud to show how Russian Athletes wins the medal. Sure enough close to none, because in USA did NOT want to show any positive thing about Russia or Russians...
@@valdimicolchik7975 just knowing they didn't give him the main court is sign of them disrespecting Medvedev, a possible number 1 player if he wins this and already a GS champion
They didn’t even show the match point for FAA
I believe they usually publish extended extended highlights for these marathon marches a little longer after the fact
Im so sad I decided to watch sinner tstitsi match instead of this pne
The Canadian’s have arrived and shown that they can play at the highest level. Go Felix and Dennis!!!

Just wow. This is actually a major step forward for FAA. He should be very pleased with himself and take this experience to push himself even further. Incredible performance and effort.
yes but he let off the steam in the late 3rd and Medvedev was just great.
How did that go?
Some of the greatest rallies I’ve ever seen, and I’ve a lot of tennis over the last 40 years
Man the speed and court coverage on medvedev and monfils is insane.
It's Felix not Monfils
monfils is a clown that only wants attention
@@PretentiousStuff You are the clown here. Because its not even Monfils in this video. Its Felix Auger.
@@isakkarvonen9387 I'm well aware. I'm just pointing out two players who I think have a tremendous amount of speed in their toolkit
That was the best I've seen Felix play. This is also why Medi already has one major title. Managed to comeback from being down 0:2 on a night when the guy apposite to you perhaps plays his best game ever.
Fantastic battle. Auger-Aliassime is almost there within his game. Medvedev is a wonder.
Let's go Medvedev. Both players played amazing tennis. 👍
What a match, I honestly did not think Daniil had it in him for a comeback the way he was playing the first two sets. Felix was just playing out of his mind, probably the best I’d see him play. But Daniil had to dig deep and he somehow found a way even though it wasn’t pretty at times. But he got done! The serve and the double faults though were not his best friend, so hopefully he’ll cut down on that for his next match against Stef. As for Felix, wow! Did not expect him to play this good. He was phenomenal. The future is so bright for him, so hope he keeps working at it. Congrats to Daniil, you had me scared there! 😷
😍🤩kzhead.info/sun/d8qhmJ2BZHd3lGw/bejne.html
Daniil did what Novak would do in this situation. And simply outclassed FAA in the last set
This has been one of my favourite grand slams in years
Auger- Salami was very unlucky
This was a fantastic match!! Felix played the best I’ve seen him play and still lost. If Medvedev doesn’t win this tournament, I will be profoundly disconcerted.
Nadal will win in final it destiny
He might lose if he’s to tired to beat Tsitsipas, who played super well against Sinner
@@nikmohammadashrafbinrazali3795 You called it!

FAA should be so proud of himself for this amazing performance. I think it is the best performance of his career. He is going places, this young man!
He looks like a young Nadal
Being proud of oneself too early never made anyone the best ;)
You sure about that?
WHAT A MATCH. Felix is going to be gunning for that top 3 this year I think. Dude is super athletic and super powerful. Medvedev is just a wizard on hardcourt.
Felix has a ways to go before he's top 3 material. He played unbelievable first few sets. His level still fluctuates too much; he's not consistently elite.
Top 3? No chance, unless Novak is banned from all slams and Zverev or Tsitsipas regress tremendously. I do think the top 5 is completely possible for him in a year or two. Rooting for him!
@@tylerpedersen9836 either are most of the top 5 outside obviously Djokovic. Medvedev is getting there, but I don't think Felix is very far behind Zverev, Tsitsipas, Rublev, or Berrettini at all.
@@Em4gdn1m Medvedev "getting there?" He's already won a slam, four masters 1000s, and consistently makes deep runs in tournaments. Zverev and Tsitsipas are way better than Felix atm. Felix is 0-8 in finals, a horrible record which suggests he is not nearly as strong mentally as the very top guys. I actually agree that tennis-wise he's about near Rublev-level.
@@tylerpedersen9836 with consistency? Yes, he's getting there. It was only 1 year ago Djokovic smoked Medvedev in the AO finals. Since then, he's been playing a lot better.
Medvedev showed Big 3 level tenacity and gumption in this match. The way he hung on and raised his level up was absolutely amazing
Wow. Imagine what a beast FAA will be in another year. Great match.
You should talk about Medvedev first, then Auger :D
All aboard the FAA train !!
@@speedymr I hope he wins the tournament. He is the best hardcourt player in the world.
But he lacks mentality
He will be the same as he is now
This reminded me, 2021 Roland Gaross final match. as Daniil said in post match interview, Novak's mentality showed there again. Congratulations Daniil, you showed how You're in world number two. hope he'll win australian open 2022 and became number one.
FAA played like a real warrior, keep your eye on this young man.
Unfortunately, the Canadian regressed.
Love them both but.. Med is a step above the new class!

Wow felix really did exceptionally well in this match!!!
Amazing matches. Missing Federer and Djokovic, but it's been wild

Felix played amazing. Stayed classy too. Future is bright for this young Canadian. He does not need to insult the umpire lol.
I missed the match, did Felix say something too? Or are you just referencing Denis?
Think they’re just talking about Denis
after this match I can say I like Felix more. I had always loved shapo but I hated his attitude against nadal
It was like a championship game…they both play at their maximum…just Wao to this new generation of tennis players 👏👏👏👏👏
Wow! That was one hell of a match!! FAA is getting close but had to confront Medvedev... Novak's killer! Great match!!

Felix you were the BEST through the whole match. You had decency and no smug little smirks. You deserved to win and you have a great career ahead of you. Well done....FELIX
FANTASTIC!! Way to go, Med!
Obvisouly he lacks the resume, but Medvedev is becoming one of the greatest hard court players tennis has ever seen. To be that fast and rangy at that height is such a distinct advantage on the hard courts; on top of that you add a world class first serve...he has a chance to be the most dominant hard court player on the tour for quite some time once the Golden Era finally concludes.
This had to be the best match of the tournament
L-am urmărit..,a fost excepțional...,un meci de zile mari...! Bravo celor doi jucatori...
Best match of the tournament so far. For context, when Medvedev was Felix's age, he was out during the First Round of the Australian Open. What Felix has been able to achieve at age 21 is seriously impressive! He has huge potential to be a future star of the game.
No doubt he's tremendously talented but also the field has become less competitive compared to how it was 3-5 years ago.... The players ranked 5-25 are not as strong as before
such a great match; amazing highlights. Thank you!
Good to see FAA maturing and gaining confidence. He has to develop a little more variety in his game but he and Sinner are huge talents.
Felix Auger-Aliassime, is the name of men's tennis in the next decade, gentlemen. .
My goodness! What a match. Daniil your right! "What would Novak do". Exactly what you just did come back from two sets down. Good job Felix!
Medvedev had NO BUSINESS winning this. Miraculous comeback. Saved match point and how many break points? For much of this match, Felix looked very smooth, perfect technique, perfect volleys, painting all the lines. Meddy was obviously struggling, flopping around, but somehow found another 2 gears or so. He may look like a used car salesman, but he has the heart of a Siberian TIGER.
‘Used car salesman’? What an unusual description….
Keep in mind that in Russian DNA it is this: at the beginning it may seem slower and no one can give Victory , but at the end Russians are triumphant ! Century of history proved that !
He is always impressive.
@@valdimicolchik7975 I saw the William sisters bust the so Russians DNA for over a decade, I saw Serena beat Sharapova like 16 straight defeats, so don't come here and give us the Russian DNA. How many grand slams have Russians won for such a big country? Instead of enjoying the tennis you have to bring your ugliness to it. Just remember Medvedev is five years older than Felix, keep that in mind. Medvedev has more experience and still has only one grand slam.
Had FAA perfect drop and lob, he would have defeated daniil. Making Daniil chase volleys and lobs would have tired him more.
Félix, si tu lis ce message, tu es, seras ... extra---ordinaire ! on habite la même ville ( quand tu étais plus jeune et , je suis si fière fière fière de mon jeune compatriote et concitoyen ! What a MATCH ! You were absolutely maaarvelous. This is the match to remember !

Epic. Just epic
Career defining match for both players !!! Both moving onto the next level in their respective paths to being Future champions!!
Really? Career defining for Medvedev? c'mon, get real
This was not career defining for Medvdev whatsoever and more like another day at the office.
I think what he meant was this was career defining for Medvedev's mentality going forward. He was always a great front runner but would have problems winning from coming behind in score. This match would give a huge boost to his belief.
@@EyesonEnforcement911 To call a match like this "another day at the office" is very disrespectful. Medvedev needed his best to win today and was on the ropes at one point. Have some respect.

Stunning hitting from both guys ... wow
We need the full match, thank you. 😉
At least FAA knows he can compete at the elite level against the best. Hopefully he starts winning titles soon.
I don't think confidence was ever the issue for FAA to me, it seems like he's just too used to standing far back and outlasting players (which works at juniors and challengers level) but against top ATP players that's not enough he needs to play aggressively with purpose otherwise the opponent will just dictate play
Anyone else notice how Medvedev started to copy Aliassime’s grunting near the end of the first set? Basically turned into grunting competition. Aliassime: uweeewwww Medvedev: uweeeewww Aliassime: UUUWeewwe Medvedev: UUUWEEWWW Umpire: Code violation, Medvedev for grunting like Aliassime. Medvedev: UWeeweeew

I hope he wins this slam ! He is a great player!
He’s amazing but how will he recover after well over 4.5 hrs on court? Tsitsipas had an easy match and played first. He has a huge edge. Now I will be shocked if Med makes the final, whereas I thought the opposite before the quarters.
@@moviefan4life166 Medvedev is young. Nadal and Novak didn't have a problem recovering from a 5 Set match when they were 25 years Old.
Jeffrey. I agree that Med is young, but I think that a reasonably tough 4 setter followed by a nearly 5 hr five setter will put him at a significant disadvantage. The game is exponentially more physical now. I favored med to handily beat Tsitsipas as I said but after the quarterfinal outcomes and due to the very high level Tsitsipas showed, unless Med comes out blasting and wins in straight sets, to me he’s at a huge disadvantage if this becomes a physical 4 or 5 set match. Tsitsipas is crushing his forehand and moving so well. I’m going with Tsitsipas in 4. If Med wins, that would truly put him in an elite category in terms of his fitness. Let’s hope it goes 5!
@@moviefan4life166 So if Nadal defeats Berretini in Straight Sets and the other S.F is 4+ hours long you're giving the edge to Nadal?
