Hello everyone, I'd like to address something that I've seen mentioned by a few people in the comments due to using the words "circus show" in the title. In no way or shape do I intend to use it in a bad way! And thankfully the majority of you seem to understand that! English is not my first language and by circus I mean the highest level of fun and entertainment because it's obviously a match between 2 great friends! If you check out my channel there are many videos of Monfils and Brown, they're both my second favorite players behind Roger and Rafa. I see people call me racist and stuff like that, oh please... Seriously?!! Peace and love to everyone. Have a great day ❤️
Anybody who thinks you meant it in a bad way needs to just drink some bleach and swallow 50 aspirin. I as a black man, I know EXACTLY what you meant by it, straight off the bat, so don't worry. AWESOME VID BTW
7 mins into the vid i was waiting for the funny moments to kick in. But all i saw is the coolest tennis game ive ever seen in a while... Circus to me means not serious or comedic. But yeah probably should change the title anyway
Just you should’ve put Tournament name and year of playing. You did great job editing this 👍🏻
It’s not racist at all. But it is however very insulting, regardless of race but more so because they are black in a predominantly white sport. If you didn’t intend to insult fair enough.
well the first thought that occurred to me when youtube recommended to me is that there will be some crazy jumpings and i got all the fun i wanted, nice video man, keep it up:)) i mean i equated circus to crazy jumping and it felt like dustin brown is the brother of monfils(bcoz i already know monfils is an entertainer, crazy jumping, movement, dives etc)
You get the feeling that dustin brown is like, "yeah, I could do better, but I'd rather get another sick dropshot". Love his style.
Yes, he does 100 dropshots on a match and gets 2 o 3 nice ones, the rest directly gives the point to the opponent. Good average.
@@Pablanz On practically any other player, those shots would have worked. Monfils and Brown have superior athleticism, quickness and endurance so shot that work elsewhere, fail more often on them.
Sure, he chooses to... Right
@@mauriciogonzalezrobles8594 Haha. Just giving him the benefit of the doubt. In his position I would actually do this (if I had the skill to be top, I would stick with a game that I enjoy even if it is lower level).
@@Pablanz He certainly doesn't do top 10 in the world...but he does do like top 20 or 50. Which is pretty impressive to me. In a game versus Nadal at Wimbledon, which Brown won, I remember about 20 successful dinks.
dustin brown should receive a wild card in each tournament
S2g
Agreed!!
He is wild, actually.

Probably one of the best matches... Such skills, world class competitiveness... Yet so humble respectful ... Beautiful match, i was smiling the whole time

How many drop shots do u want to hit? Dustin Brown: Yes
😂👍
This stupid comments are still being used? LMFAO people is less original each time 🤣🤣🤣
@@rngsus4002 lmfao ikr
🤣🤣
@@rngsus4002 being original doesn't mean something is great. If something is used multiple times, it's because it works - it's why cliche's are even a thing.
When these 2 guys play, I don't feel like they're competing with each other. It seems like they're playing in the neighborhood tennis court on a weekend.. then they both grab a cold beer after.😁
@@VicenzoV More like some RUM!
nice weekend
Well said😂
THEY DOUBTLESSLY DESERVE THE BEST CERVEZA IN TOWN FOR THE ELECTRIFYING ENTERTAINMENT THEY PROVIDE !!!
+LanzEarthling -- Haha, I was just saying to myself that watching these two play felt like when my buddy and I play a set. We both play hard, but still have fun. Afterward, we grab a beer and get some grub. Winner buys! 👍😎
This has to be one of if not the most most entertaining match of tennis ever played. It’s simply magnificent, they’re both artists of the sport
For those feeling sorry Dustin didn't make it to the top - he IS in the top. The well-ranked players today are all in a heard of toilers; he is unique. His tennis is inspired and makes you feel good. He is a star in his own right.
He may not be the best but he's a top tier showman.
Winning isn't everything, the experience of the match is what matters.
@@DoomShrm Yep, he will (probably) be as famous as Bahrami in retirement.
@@DoomShrm Also, he’s one of the fittest and most flexible athletes on tour, his skill (though it may not win him titles) is undeniable.
True... but as tennis fans, we've been robbed of watching a brilliant player b/c of his financial struggles.
If they played men's doubles together, they would definitely be "The Dynamic Duo."
Had to scroll through to see if anyone was thinking the same. They should seriously consider it, seeing as how they will never win a singles championship.
junior2404 actually Gael did win a singles championship just wasn’t a major one
They will be entertaining but they won't stand a chance to win any remarkable tournie.
@@ishamal8464 ... You never know.
I'd pay per view that.
Best thing about this match was you get the feeling that Gael was finally playing with someone who was having as much fun as him. Bravo young men. These types of matches are what gets kids into tennis and want to play themselves.
Correct
Correct but this is not the "best" way... street basket or football are way more fun to watch but we emd up watching people run over 100 meter court 🤣
@@Dirrtza True. But that's likely because there's usually no network cameras at the street games so that's a large part of it. Like Agassi used to say, "If you can get a racquet into the hands of some of these kids playing basketball or soccer at community parks and neighborhood pickup games, after a few years they will make me look like a club player".
@@chancock4222 zSzzz
These 2 brothers show what real sportsmanship is supposed to look like in tennis. Such great athletes. ❤️
"brothers" 😂😂😮
Monfils is one of my favorite players of all times. How he's never been in a slams final i don't understand. Great tennis IQ. Overall class act.
Agree! Hopefully he takes it a little serious and start wining more now gm that he is a husband.
@@vidyasonavane9602 if he wouldn’t suffer all those injuries in his 20’s I’m sure he woulda been in several slam finals
Rarely anyone had a shot at grand slam when big 3 was dominating.
He’s a class act when he’s not tanking. How he’s never been in a Slam final is his passive playstyle outside of brief moments of aggression, which puts him on the back foot too often. That and his decision-making can be off at times (see the USO SF vs. Djokovic for example).
Beacause in this time Nadal djoko Federer and murray are so hot
I can't believe some people think tennis is boring. Thank you Monfils and Brown for this sheer tennis entertainment.
I know right it's so annoying how people say football is better
@@cristianvlas8941 football is way better . But tennis is good
Roronoa Zoro in terms of enjoyment from watching from the majority, yes. From some people that actually watch tennis, not necessarily.
@@CooperCoal but if you guys only watch tennis, thats a bit biased . I watch football basketball and a lot of sports
I find boring this “style” of tennis.
Both: Wait, this guy is jacking my style!

^^ wish I could retweet
They're having so much fun, seems like a casual match between 2 friends, both with outstanding skills, you dont see this often in pro tennis. Respect
If they partner it will be one of the best ever doubles
In this age of cut-throat competition where so much is at stake, we forget that its just a game. Play it with the same happiness & unbridled joy that a 4 year old would. Thanks to these gentlemen for the fun & the entertainment
I don't always watch crazy tennis matches in a different language with players I don't know but when I do it's because of youtubes crazy algorithm recommendations. And of course watched the whole thing and enjoyed it... You win again KZhead...
Mr.Swanny I just realised with your comment, that I don‘t understand the language because I was so focused on the match. Lol
Haha yeah that just happened to me too mr. swanny, it was awesome
I know the players and I understand the language. Beat ya
It's French, they're just saying over and over again how crazy the game is and how the players are very athletic, and how they're à "spectacle" and very enjoyable to watch, not an interesting commentary.
Same
It's really awesome to see them smiling and enjoying each others sportsmanship. Well played 😁
What a wonderful display of both entertaining tennis and good sportsmanship, so much mutual respect between two of the biggest tennis showmen on tour. I think it's a shame Brown hasn't had more success, I almost feel like he would have been really rather successful had he been playing in the 70s and early 80s, at a time when being a serve and volley player could have won you a lot of titles.
This is how a tennis match should be played in the best spirit and so much respect to each other ✊🏾
Imagine if they were actually playing a exhibition match 😂
Yan Okimura I honestly don’t think exhibition match would get the best of brown since he always pushes himself very hard through injuries to get those shots in. It might in fact be boring to watch.
@@YukiedosatoRS throw Kyrgios in there for 3 stooges
@@YukiedosatoRS what? I think when there is no pressure to win they would play exhibitionrallies and shots nobody has ever seen before
I think there should be a trick shot contest fo the ATP. Like the SLam dunk competion in the NBA. Most flashy cross court forehands, backhands, overheads, disguise shots, running gets etc. The pros can use local tennis talent as sparring partners to facilitate the exhibition. It can be for charity.
Browns creativity is crazy and the atmosphere of this game was extraordinary.
Wow, this is more than tennis; this is like a tennis-concert!
😂agree. So much fun!
One of the most wholesome matches I've seen in tennis It was great to see two players playing admirably and having so much fun together
This is easily the greatest tennis match I've ever seen in my entire life.
How many have you watched? Also if nineties and eighties?
You need to watch Brown vs Nadal at Wimbledon lol. That match was fire!
@Gene Connor Or maybe...we just rank tennis matches differently? 😋
Brown has that rare natural talent and feel for the ball, such a pity he never made it to the top
TheMrBennito too many back injuries :((
He did in this game.
@@DylanFowler indeed:)
@@oFierce yes. too bad :(
Then ranking system is for ordinary players. Brown is no ordinary.
Fantastic video! Gael was one of the players that made me fall in love with tennis. I love Nadal, Federer & Djoko ofc, but these guys bring so much joy and wholesomeness to tennis. One of the reasons I love the sport.
the confidence it takes to go for those shots all the time is huge. it's even more impressive how accurate they were. love it
I can't believe I've never heard of Dustin brown. Definitely one of my favorite players now.
If Dustin were to play to his full potential, he would be lethal. His serve is a weapon. His unpredictability makes him the worst opponent for anyone because you can't study random. I would love to see him climb in rankings because he has the ability...
His technique isn’t the best and his fitness level isn’t high enough for five setters. He is entertaining but the problem is, none of his good shots are uniquely good that they make enough of a difference: he hits hard but there are heavier hitters in the tour, he drop shots but inconsistently and there are better drop shoters, he serves fast but there is faster etc. To make it to the top you need to be very good at all these things (and many others I haven’t listed) and the best at some things.
@@max_im_um Its maximum risk. He has incredible feel and more than enough easy power, but i also get the impression he'd just get tight and play shit if he tried to be strategic. Injuries didn't help, but he's the ultimate wild card - u notice how he always manages to play awesome and raise his game vs the very best? But i bet he loses a lot to grinders too.
@@max_im_um
Dustin is Hot!
@Keith James you're talking nonsense.. Your dumb and full of shit :D
Now THIS is tennis . Great sportsmanship and great playing. No drama, just a good game of tennis from two good players . Could watch them play all the time 😊
Wouldn't call it a Circus Show, it's more a display of a tennis masterpiece!
Dustin Brown is a gem to the sport.
I want him to win more so I can watch him play more.
Why he lose man?
I vividly remember being very excited for this match. Two awesome entertainers and players. There is no player with better hands and touch than Dustin brown imo.
One will never know since thats what he bases his game on and it isn't effective all the time which is why other players don't do it. Gael is a much more interesting and fun player to watch. I'm sure he could mimic Brown's game if he tried.
td866 just my opinion but I find Dustin much more entertaining. Gael is a fun player too, he knows how to have fun and keep it professional at times.
@@td866 exactly
3:25 Powerful backspin on that service return! The ball just stops dead when it hits the court.
The crowd getting riled up and preparing for the cheer 4:05 was awesome. Imagine watching this live!
This gameplay is the soul of this sport. Amazing shots, relaxed atmosphere....simply a joy for everyone watching. Im scared that there arent young players like them coming so one day this amazing show will end. Hope Dustin and Gael will stay injury free and play their magic. ( I know there are players like Cuevas and NK hitting plenty of hotshots but Gael and Dustin are next lvl for sure)
The kings of freestyle tennis
This was no circus show...this was pure theatre! Monfils is all class!
7:43 holy shit what a legendary rally
thank you for blurring out the score in the first clip! good touch
Why was that good?
Lfxfire it was the ending score maybe
@@laurencef8535 watching highlights knowing the score is less interesting/exciting. You have an idea of who will win matches/sets

yes, I was wondering why in the beginning, but later it made sense and I thanked them in my mind as well
One of the best things to witness in sports. These two were having fun, pushing each other's abilities, and dishing respect everywhere.
Stunning sportsmanship as well as athleticism. Kudos to both of you
Brown has great talent but most of all he seams to enjoy a happy life even on the court ! What a great gentleman !
Dustin browns swings are so unorthodox it's hard to tell where his shots are going
Why i feel like Dustin Brown is the most talented player, even he is not top ranked ? Those players really appreciate each other, it is good to see that in Tennis.
What a treat watching these guys playing each other!
Its a real joy to watch this crazy Dustin playing. See also that fantastic match Brown vs. Nadal at Wimbledon on YT. Not only a tennis match: pure Entertainment
Greatest entertainers on the court. Sportsmanship is at its peak. Whether they win grand slam or not. Salute these two guys for their enthralling sportsmanship and their lovable attitude.......

I don't know how many times I've watched this over the years. So much respect they have for tennis, for each other, and genuinely having fun. Both natural entertainers. Exquisite! Inspirational!
Thank you for posting. This is how tennis should be played. When you're done watching it, it was so entertaining, you will probably always remember it when tennis is mentioned.
Although he lost, I remember seeing this match and being absolutely thrilled to see this match up 😁
@6e Set yes, I agree, those kind of matches can take your breath, they can make you smile, they can make you to aplode them, it was worth watching, me miss matches like this, Dolgopolov is similar player but notbsee him onbtour for long time, Bagdatis too
Why anyone call this match circus, this match can give lessons to many player, how to give all you have in your brain, hands, movment, tricks, and that you do not have tobplay only from the book, you learn from the book, but tennis you play with brane, heart and soul, bravo for both
ほんと楽しそうにテニスしてる!異次元プライヤーだしお互いに敬意を払ってるのが本当に好き!
Wow. Just wow. I wish these two went went further up the ranks. Love watching them
Dustin brought the smiles and the positive attitude on the court; too many tight faces in tennis today; games seem more like torture than sport for some of the players.
It’s beyond me that a player like Brown is not even on the top 150
Regularity
This video showed very well: a) why so many people love his tennis and b) why he never made it into the Top 100, consistently. He plays the best drop shots in the world... and also the worst drop shots in the world... and 20 of each in every game.
@Ami Maria you right haha
Ami Maria haha so funny!!!!
@Ami Maria 😂😂
Love the "wholesome moments", and LOL at 5:20 😆. Monfils and Brown are such dynamic players. Brown's ability to take pace off the ball is remarkable. Hoping he'll become more consistent because he makes the game very interesting!
Turned into a total entertainment show. I love these guys. They bring to tennis enjoyment, laugh, sportsmanship and they are amazing athletes. Instead of the boring base line powerplay it has the variety, skill of what tennis can be.
To play quality shots like this, and keep up such good sportsmanship.... all the while under the pressure of playing professionally..... these guys are just AMAZING!!!
When you and your bestfriend face off in a tournament XD .
10:32 Notice when Dustin makes the drop shot, monfils is standing at the baseline till he notices it's a badass drop shot. The speed and maneuver he uses to get to the net and make the lob, "godlike". At his best monfils should be the best player on tour.
Speed 100
That moment when Brown realises he is playing against Monflis lol
Best player in the tour even at his top form? Not even close, that's title belong to Wawrinka in his Stanimal form.Remember the RG final win against Djokovich? That was out of this world tenis for the duration of 4 insane sets. The semi at AO coming close to that. Not that Monfils is not super entertaining of very high quality player, he is that.
I watched this 7 times in a row it's amazing.
Hg Hg oh come on, wawrinka have a good matchup against joker. Thats why he can kill joker at his best. His style wont work with roger and rafa
It wasn't a match, it was THE MATCH
Skills, respect and professionalism all in one video. Remarkable. 😍
I just don't think any match will entertain me in the future like this one. It had everything. Drop shots, tweeners, massive forehand winners, volley putaways, passing shots. What more could you want?
Damn Snoop Doggie Dogg be a beast at tennis.
has anyone called snoop that since like, ‘92?..
They really need to do a lot of exhibitions together. Or a tour where they just play each other. They have so much talent and skill, they're true treasures of the ATP.
Feels good to see players smiling while playing. No one cares who won, it's just good tennis.
