Dustin Brown overpowers Rafael Nadal in their second round meeting at Halle back in 2014. I've made this full match highlights of one of the most entertaining matches of all time! Dustin Brown eventually won the H2H 2-0, both matches on grass, the second match being played at Wimbledon in 2015.

Nadal "I don't know what he's going to do next moment!!" Brown "l have no idea what I am going to do next moment!!""😂😂😂
Good one 😂 Brown one of the most exciting and unpredictable players
Kicked his ass
Brown : do you even tennis? Nadal: do you even grand slam?
Hahah - yes, but I rate this guy equal with Federer as a natural talent ...
@@lachezarkrastev7123maybe but without the discipline to maximize his talent how do wull we ever know? He was content to be a sideshow.
Tennis needs more Dustin Browns. A lot more.
Yes..I'm tired of watching slow baseline tennis...
Well, more serve and volleyers sure. Just not showboating asses like this guy
We've had Monfils for decades now.
@@JahBillabongon what world are Dustin Brown and Monfils the same player?
and less nadals
I've never seen Tennis like this from anyone! This level of power, finesse, creativity, athleticism and grace is unmatched by any other player in my opinion. And this includes Federer, McEnroe, Alcaraz, Djokovic, and Del potro! Dustin Brown is a tennis enigma. A genius! I just wonder how fast those groundstrokes and returns were? I am thinking possibly 110 mph perhaps? And the finesse and control of the ball at the net would even make prime John McEnroe proud. But then the obvious question. How does a player with so much talent lose too much lesser opponents? I guess that's why he is a tennis enigma.
Forget highlights and watch him play a full match. Tons of unforced errors and poor shot selection. When it all comes together, sure, he's frighteningly good; but that requires a convergence of so many disparate elements that it's much more likely you'll get the error-prone version.
5:38 a touch of genius from federer
5:21 reminds me of the backhand Federer hit off Blake’s return in that one match
Dustin Brown Hade More Technical Talent Than Federer.
@@M.EngelhARTBased on one match? Come on…
@@milan6439 ???
For such a skinny dude, he hit the ball *SO HARD* 😂
Technique!
Power in tennis has nothing to do with muscularity as opposed to technique.
@@Dom-yv4nqOf two people with equal skill, the more muscular one would arguably hit harder.
Because he's black
@@Uiru11 not necessarily. More muscular people tend to be tighter, less loose than the opposing person, hence they may or may not. I won't swear by it but generally speaking the leaner person may hit harder
Ahh the memories… GOAT for a reason!
I always watch Dustin brown highlights and wish he never stopped. Truly amazing.
It seems like a prank, but next year Brown destroyed Nadal at Wimbledon also in second round)
Some players just have those bogey players they struggle to play against. Their styles dont match and top players can lose to lower rank players. But saying that some days your on fire , everything you touch comes off. Alot of lower rank pros have those days - Brown was definitely on.
@@Terminatortx33 Yes, agree, in 2008 when Federer was in fire, he lost two times in a row against frenchman Simon Gilles, so these cases can be
Remember wimbledon also...one of the most rare matches i have ever seen
Genius play, unique style.
And thus: DA GOAT was born 😌 I can't believe this was almost 10 years ago, a much different time.
I knew you would comment on this video 😜
@@TennisTime1 saw Dustin and *IMMEDIATELY* perked up this morning 😂
Hey nice seeing you're still around :)
Holy shit dude, you're still around! With so many tennis channels getting the ban hammer I sort of assumed the YT Tennis community had disappeared, but here you are! Good to see ya man
@alejandrocrespo7633 I'm much more busy than I used to be so I don't comment much anymore, but I'm still here! Good to see you 👋🏿
One of the funniest match ever !! I love him, Brown gigantic player
Showman !!!
Staggering display of power AND FINESSE ! RASTAMAN VIBRATIONS !!!
and positive!
Did I just hear at 5:38 : Just a touch of genius from Federer??? 😂
Omg he has so much energy. Love his style. 🙌🏼
Unique guy….unique tennis….unique entertainment… Blessed by the holy ras tafari..❤
I have watched a lot of tennis in my life but this match was the off the hook entertaining............
This was the time when Nadal returned serves from a normal distance away from the baseline. Later on he would pioneer the return of serves 10 miles behind the baseline.
Actually i think he started out farther out and then moved closer. A clay court style of returner. The last several years he will vary his return position based on the court, opponent or whether he is feeling confident
The man in command !
Makes you wonder how Nadal would've done back in the days when serve & volley was the norm. Not that he has a bad net game, but short 2-4 shot points don't really fit his game.
He still would have dominated clay but yeah I see what you mean
Djoko could win Dustin brown, easly. Because they are both player eslastic
@@lartisan6274 djoko already beats brown easily 6-2 6-2 in doha 2016
@@stanislavsky92 Yes, but they only played each other once, and not on grass
To be fair, this is grass, his weakest surface. Hard courts and on clay, he would eat Brown up. And that’s 3 out of 4 grand slams. So Nadal would have done just as well back in the day too. Plus, it’s Nadal man, one of the goats. Of course he would have done well no matter the era.
The best male player of all time. Dustin Brown. Pure talent.
I wish more players (including Fed) had had the cojones to play like this against Nadal .
It’s said Cajones. These gringos..
now you know Federer never had corones ;)
@@antoinev9733At last someone that knows how to say it!
I think this is who Nick got a lot of his game play from. 🎾
He is Ronaldinho of Tennis.
I will prefer Gael monfils over Dustin brown...at least Monfils have achievements unlike brown
With these skills and if he could focus like this all the time he could be top 20 player easily.
it's too bad his injuries held him back
@@IGNSanityi don't think only injuries were the reason..
Would love to go watch Dustin Brown play.
goat dustin
What an attractive tennis of Dastin.
Dustin will live in the memory
Where is this guy now? He should have surpassed Nole’s record.
Second Set: When Dustin Brown goes God-Mode oder Berserk-Mode ;-)… in 2015 Wimbledon he did it again with Nadal. Perhaps it’s the way Nadal plays what fits to Browns Game. Dustin Brown has this insane skills but he seems not be able to bring it on a constant level. Especially on longer rallyes. Too often he chooses short stops and slice at wrong moment… But I love his game…
5:40 he calls nadal, federer lol
There's just some days you get out of the right side of the bed and everything you touch turns to gold. It feels like your eye is in and you cant miss, everything just flows.
He also smashed him at Wimbledon the following year
@@pr-tj5by some players have those bogey players they find difficult to play against their style too.
@@Terminatortx33 Tbh Rafa has been knocked out of Wimbledon early by low ranking players a few times
@@Terminatortx33Also the Surface. Brown would have no Chance against Nadal on Clay.
Guau impresionante
bah... mantap juga brown
Sad Dustin is not healthy. He is a great player!
Das gehört zu den großartigsten Spielen, die ich je gesehen habe. MfG
The kind of performance very hard to sustain over the season, a big win here then nothing afterwards, nadal on the other hand lost this one but won many titles afterwards. Tennis is about odds and key is to keep odds high throughout a season and a career. GG here Dustin nice one !
Dustin Brown was an amazing player but a true nightmare for his coaches!
Serve and volley is such cheesing strategy
Dustin is the Santoro to Nadal´s Safin
Yes of course, but Novak put him in fabric settings, you can find full match on yt.
Serve and volley masterclass
Brown is the Tennis Ronaldinho 🎾 👌 who's with me ?!
How beautiful is Dustins game a shame he got injured, i hate the 20 plus rallies it's just bs, no skill, just need to be fit and go on like a camel.
This is funny 😂
Mira vos, no lo tenia asi a Dastin 🎉🎉🎉
Lo dejó loco. Decepcionante el español.
Now replace Brown with prime Sampras and see how it would have gone down on true fast grass
Nadal would have no answer!
@@pr-tj5by True and neither would Djokovic or any other baseliner.
@@martydav9475 I agree but Federer and Djokovic are certainly better than Nadal on grass
@@martydav9475 serve and return ?? Djoko would have some ansmwers ;)
Where's Brown gone?? A star that shone just one season... Or even less😢
He was pretty much always around for years, just never that consistent. Past peak Rafa wasn't the best after coming from clay. Even Muller, Rosol, & Darcis beat Rafa at wimbledon... still glad somehow Rafa got it together for 2018 & 19 wimbledon to go deep again. But Brown was a better fit for doubles play & did before he retired, even if he could play his heart out in singles sometimes Edit: actually he's not retired apparently, but still he's 38. Not going to make strides in singles any longer, but in doubles maybe Still heck of an entertaining tennis player, was one of my favs. But look at say Monfils vs Brown roland garros, he gets crushed. But still entertaining match
nowhere, he just wasn't ever that good, rafa is simply overrated
He could have crushed every tennis players, Federer and Djokovic included. God just said, NO.
I always wondered what happened to Dustin Brown, he just disappeared forever.
Mucha mano y talento. La pregunta obvia es por qué casi nadie sabe quién es.
One time big time green grass, any updates from him after this match? Nevermind
Cantos años tiene Dastin???????
Unbelievable! Brown made Nadal look like an amateur.
In tennis, i love when the smiler won :)
Nadal came into some inspired players at Wimbledon but he was always vulnerable first week
Upload rafa vs Djokovic monte carlo and rome 2012 and rafa vs murray monte carlo 2011 and rome 2014 extended
Brown dominated Nadal in those two matches.
Where is he today?
Hasnt played for 2 years I think
@@RazOls Never heard of him.
Wow Dustin hit the ball so flat. It zipped.
“This player” just say his name!
Literally the worst match up Nadal could have on his least favourite and least successful surface (grass) Playing a black Federer/Sampras hybrid with the power of Del Potro
This is how Pete samoras game was but much better and aggressive
Where is he now !
With your mother
And thats the only match Brown is remembered for
He also smashed him at Wimbledon the next year
The Ganja Smoker vs The Spaniard
Who are the most talented players? - Federer and then Dustin...
This is what I call lights-out tennis, either I hit a winner or I miss. You got nothing to do with it:)
A buddy of mine played like this. He called it Fire and Forget 😁
Nadal should have used a lob at that time..mutliple times
So this is basically Sabr before Sabr
oh sabr !! the word invented by specials tennis journalists, ignoring everything about tennis history ?? :)
Nadals boogeyman. Nadal had to resort to black magic to keep him injured and off the courts
Not gonna lie Nadal got embarrassed 😂😂😂
Age is catching up
sampras
what's happening? Is this a computer game?
Evebody should go out and pay again. Show guy.
O azar do Nadal foi que ele enfrentou Dustin em seu pior piso em anos que estava em baixa na grama. Fosse em Roland Garros, esse jogador jamais ganharia do Nadal em seu auge.
Outside the clay Nadal is average tennis player.
Nope, he won 8 GS outside clay.
No he isn’t
Nadal had 0 chance. 0. Zeroooo
Nadal looks so pathetic against him!
I whish Novak get some teaching from Brown.. think about it.. some snashes over the head...lol
novak already kicked brown's ass in doha 2016 by 6-2 6-2
Djokovic ?? the goat with even no smashes ??? think about it ;)
This so childish and idiotic statement. His mares disappeared equally quickly as it started. Where is he now?
Same way as BINGO PLAYERS playing POKER
