  • Dustin Brown is everything that is great about greatness that is not mainstream. He is the chaos, the flair, the stunning surprise, the underdog, the periphery, the refusal to be the predictable. The astonishing film that isn't Hollywood, the captivating music that is unconventional, the coin that lands on the edge. I love him.

    • This is what separates Djokovic from Nadal. Novak adapts to his opponents gimmicks such as the time Roger kept annoying him with SABR tactic, Novak respond back with lobs.

      @josecalderon9487@josecalderon94872 жыл бұрын
    • @@josecalderon9487 I agree with the lob tactic, but Novak hasn't done much to deal with Roger. Mostly Novak just waits for Roger to do an unforced error or outlast him physically. That's a kind of adaptation. When Novak plays aggressively against Roger he loses, when he plays the classic Novak way he wins.

      @gauravmalltarlok5354@gauravmalltarlok53542 жыл бұрын
    • @@gauravmalltarlok5354 Djokovic's been very successful playing Roger that way so if nothing's broken, no need to fix anything. Nadal had the 2017 AO title in his hands. He was up a break in the 5th set against Roger but he didn't change strategy. Nadal kept hitting his lefty forehand to Roger's backhand even though the cat was already out of the bag and Roger's backhand was no longer a weakness. Lubijic fixed up Roger's one-hand backhand yet Nadal didn't adapt.

  • Brown has the skill to be top 10, maybe even the best. this isn't a one time thing for him, he's shown that he can dominate Gasquet, and has beaten other top players. His only limit is a bad lower back problem, which stops him from appearing consistently.

  • Dustin Brown can easily be the best player on this planet with his power, trickery shots and pulsating athleticism and his smart plays.. But he has to improve on his focus and seriousness and getting into the business by prioritise and focus on winning more than having joyous fun on the court. If he implements these qualities together with his natural talent , Dustin Brown is impregnable and invincible. Easily the Greatest Of All Time.. Way to go “Bob Marley of Tennis” !!!!

    • True, but Brown's game definitely had a hand in it. The mental pressure of having to deal with 70 to 90 mph returns every time wore on him. In addition, Nadal does not have the finesse of Federer to return or redirect fast groundstrokes near his feet.

  • 09:51, I've been following pro tennis for about 2 years now, never stepped on a court myself coz it's a pretty expensive sport here in my country, so I might not know much about tennis, but I've never seen anyone toy Nadal like that, the crowd can't hide their smile even though Nadal was the clear crowd favourite in this match.

  • Ive been watching tennis for over 30 years, and ive never seen a player like Dustin Brown. One question to those that know him better. The guy seems to have a rocket serve, as big of groundstrokes as ive ever seen, as well as an unbelievable touch at the net. In this match, and in general, does he just spray the court with errors that are not shown on his highlight reels? The guy has talent, and yet his record is terrible. Someone clue me in.

  • What a terrible match for Nadal! I'm a big fan of Rafa, so when I saw him loose so badly that day, I was devastated. Remember: 2015 was Nadal's black year. Brown took insane risks all the time and it worked! It is almost impossible to beat that kind of player, when every hit he attempts works. Nadal likes to dictate his own game, his own tempo to his opponents, but that day, he had no other choice than to play Browns game...

    • Rafa's serve was poor in 2015. And his confidence took a hit. Today's Rafa would beat that Dustin. And I an a Federer fan. Justin's unpredictability does not suit Rafa. Rafa played great grass court tennis in 2018, and I was rooting for him over Novak, because he was playing more agressive.
