Is no one gonna mention how crazy accurate this review actually is with that testing machine? Unmatched channel on KZhead for sure!
agreed to hell - really professionally tested right here. Excellent quality!
And he combines it with great cinematography!
makes me really wonder what he studied at college/uni or if he just learned all that stuff by himself
Battle nonsense used to do latency reviews with a similar rig but he retired from KZhead, I wonder if he was inspired by that
Rtings exist, but sure w/ presentation
Your content always seems to get better and better with each upload. Such a pleasure to watch
I love the effort ur putting into the testing of these products...just something that you really can't find anywhere in the tech KZhead landscape. Adding that high of a production quality and overall visual standart is just a real bliss to watch and enjoy :) keep up the great work!
your testing methods, your presentation, and your objective views (for such a subjective topic) are above and beyond. keep going what you do!
great review - absolutely love the testing methodology you're building up here. One thing I could have liked to see on your latency bar chart is, next to the chart, also mention if the mouse is wireless or wired, and its weight in grams. That would give a great overview pointing people easily to the product they think has the properties most important for them in a balance they like.
You should definitely try out the Infinity Hump for the Starlight-12. It replaces the rear hump to make it suitable for claw grip. I absolutely love it and it has made the mouse my main.
I would be really curious to see how some steelseries units measure up alongside what you have already tested. As always, great work Ali 👌
I’ve been waiting for this. Love your other videos as well, but these mouse testing videos are pure gold
Im so excited to see that testing equipment mature some more! Great vid!
Shape (and in some cases, weight) should be the main focus when it comes to choosing mice imo. Sensor accuracy and click latency are both so good that it's practically negligible now.
Like he said, that testing is still very important to identify outliers.
Among razer and logi for sure but the rest is kinda sketchy
I think reliability is a good factor too. I've been using the same G700 for many years at this point. The switches have needed some care a couple of times but overall the longevity has been spectacular.
@@Khrrck Great point. I wish there was a big enough audience for thorough, long-term reviews.
@@jumpman1213 Yeah, while I kinda get why ultralight mice are a thing these days, I just can'tt see things like those wafer thin carbon fiber mouse buttons lasting too long under extended use. Plus personally I prefer the heavier mice anyway.
That's the video that I was waiting! A tier list would be amazing
Great vid! Maybe talk about battery life and switches/click feel for future vids like this
Very good content and video, good lighting, color, data showing method (charts), gameplay etc. Keep it up! I have a question to ask, does anyone game with office mice? XD
The review set up is indeed going above and beyond. Data truly is beautiful when presented like this
Really looking forward to the MZ1 wireless review!
Nice in depth review as always, especially enjoy you not overdramatizing minute differences. Really laughed at 5:47, "whats a hard counter to tracer?" - "your mum".
I would LOVE to see your take on the Pulsar Xlite V2 and Mini :) The mini is a model I am really looking foward to get, and a lot of content creators have been giving some praise to Pulsar, as they get a solid performance for a fraction of the price of those mice in the video
Great stuff and nice video but honestly I am in love with the razer deathadder shape, sadly the Viper ultimate someone felt like a bit off, I think its because of the weight. Super excited about this new razer mouse. Anyway, I am open for any suggestions about new mouses, do you have any despite the ones shown in this video?
The viper is one of the most comfortable mousees I've ever held maybe it's just made for my size hands but it's just so comfy
as always your videos are above and beyond. would love to see your quick thoughts on the pulsar xlite v2
“Just an arduino with a couple of stepping motors” understatement of the century, that test bed is frikin amazing!
Hoped for an endgame gear xm2w here, but that one sadly still didn’t make it to the market yet.
I just love the low profile, flatter shape of the viper. I tried GPRO and somehow it feels more straining on my wrists, despite being a very small difference in shape.
Not forgeting about this mushy side buttons of GPro. I personaly use GPro and my wife Viper and at the end I needed to admit... Viper is better
When he talked about the consideration of machine errors for the tracking I HAD to leave a like. Keep it up! l would love to see that test improved.
Great review and awesome benchmarks/rig. I actually also have all 3 of these mice... I think there's something to be said about how mushy the sidebuttons on the superlight are. The coating is A+++ and the reason why I gravitate towards it...but the side buttons are strait mushy booty and pretty bad for something like Fortnite if you have building binds on them. V2pro and Finalmouse side buttons are leaps and bounds better imo
Love the rig, can't wait til it's fully operational. Hopefully we'll get some stellar data, thank you!
i think when it comes to shape its really down to your grip and hand size. i do very aggro claw and have pretty big hands but the superlight just felt really bad for me always, but in the other hand the v2 pro fits me perfectly. its just a superlight with a different shape thats how i see it both mice specs wise are pretty much the same
Yeah, I agree, different grip and hand size, but I’ve switched from G Pro Wireless to Viper Ultimate because of the shape and was happy about it. But after I’ve tried the Superlight - I knew I wanted the Viper shape to get the same treatment and new V2 Pro is exactly that
I swapped to v2 pro after my g pro wireless start having right click issues (26 days after warranty ends). Feels kind of cheated with the omron 20mil clicks and went for razer gen 3 90 mil clicks switch in v2 pro. Was a heavy user due to work from home. I gave it to my dad for father's day, it is still functioning well for regular user. But for someone that uses it to game, it is not fun when you zoom in to snipe, the gun zooms back out. :v Also main reason I swapped is due to camera not turning in FF14 because you need to hold down right click down for the camera to turn. Sometimes the right click doesn't work, you die in raids because you can't turn the camera in the middle of the fight and dies. It happens 95%-99% of the time and it is not fun when it happens. So far I'm loving v2 pro. I no longer accidentally jump (in valorant) with the stiffer middle button. For g pro wireless, I keep accidentally touch the middle button and my character just jumps in the middle of gunfights. +_+ I hope the mouse can last at least 5-8 years this time around. The price for v2 pro is not cheap, it is freaking expensive. : O
@@leotle6309 you jump with mmb?!
@@pseudzy Yeah. It might sound weird but if you play games like valorant or csgo, there is something that almost everyone uses and it is called bhop (bunny hop). I think it can be done with regular spacebar but it is just a lot easier to bhop by binding jump to mouse scroll wheel down or up. But I find mouse scroll wheel down more intuitive and feels better. There are some spot that you don't make sound in map when you bhop like bhopping up a ramp as opposed to running. I think in csgo bhopping is also faster then just regular running. It also makes your character a harder target to hit jump up down left right. It can also be used to absorb less damage from mollies in Valorant because when you are jumping through the AoE molly, you are in contact with the molly for less amount of time so the molly does less damage to you.
@@leotle6309 I’m fucking stupid, I use that myself in apex for superglides/superglide tapstrafes lmao. I pictured you pressing in middle mouse for some reason
Glad you added the qualification around the latency being inconsequential to 98% of players. Still very interesting and kudos to your testing rig efforts - very cool. Looking forward to your Endgame XM2w review... :)
Polite, humble and in depth review. Subbed keep up the hard work
Great review. What about the size/bloat of the respective software drivers? Is it worth going for the same keyboard and mouse etc to reduce the amount of required software?
I love the lovethe flatness of the viper, even though i have large hands, my gripstyle just fits it so well. I should mention that i have modifyed it to make it wider at curve where my pinkey sits, making it basically flat on the left side.
Great video once again, one mouse you should try is the pulsar xlite v2 wireless and v2 mini wireless. Both great mice. May be a little bias as I own the mini, but imo it’s better than the g pro x superlight.
One note, the superlight does have an incredibly good feeling and grippy coating but it wore off for me after one year of usage. It now has yellowish stains on many spots even though I keep my setup very clean. Dust and sweat free.
had this happen to me not even 6 months into using the mouse
Nice analysis, very detailed. I’ve ordered an MK2 since your last review, waiting for the long lead time / delivery currently.
Hey, I'm assuming you got it already, how does it feel?
@@WooXZerah it’s nice mate, I like it more than the Superlight
I just upgraded from my old HyperX Pulsefire FPS which I bought 4 and a half years ago to a G PRO X Superlight and oh my god I felt the difference in like 1 second of opening it (Which was a few hours ago lmao). At first it felt like a toy because of how light it is, really feels like it is hollow inside, but man, I started a deathmatch in CSGO and felt GODLIKE, the mouse is just perfect. I'm still adapting to the new shape since it's a waay smaller mouse than I'm used to, but it already feels AMAZING. Couldn't be happier.
Wow! Getting really tech now! Your just really making me want to change my G-pro for a superlight. Congrats on another great video!
Thanks for the review! Wondering what you think about the wireless "feature" of these mice. I currently use a cheaper Logitech M510 (and K350) on an Ubuntu system. I find that the communication with the dongle gets dodgy beyond about 6 inches. It has made me wonder if I should return to a leash (wired mouse). Thoughts?
Amazing review and channel ! What do you think of the Orochi ? Would it fit anywhere on the list ? Thanks a lot
I’m still rocking the G305 my brother gave me a year ago. Got a lithium AAA and cut down adapter in it to save weight, and for the amount of gaming I do I love it.
I've tried many different gaming mice but i keep coming back to Glorious O and D models. Feel the best and most comfy to me.
Really like your content and reviews. Any chance of you reviewing the "newer" ROG mice? would like to see your thoughts on the ROG keris (wired version, because the wireless is pretty underwhelming with a worse sensor and 18 extra grams).
Good video, I'm between the Logitech x Shroud G303 Shroud Edition and the Razer Viper Ultimate, which one do you think is the best option?
What an outstanding comparison. Need more of these boss!!
awesome vid! do you have a similar one for competitive fps monitors?
A1 content right here. Will still be holding onto my Viper ultimate for the time being. Didn’t you swap your switches in your g pro?
I've switched back and forth between a g pro wireless and a viper ultimate (ik not exactly the same). I've leaned more towards the viper over time because I prefer the clatter shape for my grip. I tend to hold the mouse quite far back, this feels clunky on the g pro shell (additionally the side buttons on the g pro wireless are really hard to hit without readjusting because of my grip). Another major factor for me is the stuff scroll wheel: I find it easier to measure exact scroll input distance/duration because of how much stiffer it is, and it helps me get precise timings for scroll jumping and airstrafe/lurch because I know how many times I'm inputting jump per "one scroll". Also because of that flatter arch, holding the mouse in the middle so the sensor is under my fingers is a little easier, but not by much because it's a little slippery and the rubber grips wore down pretty fast lol.
thanks for doing the input lag test on the viper mini, I got small hands, so it's good to know that my very few options are good ones!
The viper mini is the best sub 50 dollar mouse hands down. Punches way above its weight, it’s super light and build quality is good. The wire isn’t even a big deal to me personally, I barely notice it when the rest of the wire falls underneath the table
TIERLIST BIG YESS! LOOKING FORWARD
Would love to see how the Pulsar Xlite V2/Mini fits into these measurements!
Same! really interested in seeing a high end pixar and how it compares to the most known mice.
So would I, crazy content
pulsar x2 too as it seems to be more of a gpx/vv2 competitor
I tried all of them. Ended up choosing Xlite V2 mini. Real shame they are not getting enough recognition
@@Dun1007 What's your grip style?
I bought an MM731 last week for 30 euros. It seemed to be the best value for the money. Best sensor on the market, optical switches, optional wired/wireless and super lightweight under 59g. I couldn't find anything that resembles this package at even double the price.
Ali really needs to mention more about his efforts in these crazy review purpose custom machines he built.
I've been dying watching all the sales for the Superlight go by, but I'm waiting for them to upgrade that damn micro-usb to a usb-c connection before I splash that much cash on an upgrade. Amazing video as always, slick editing, crazy testing rigs... Next level man 🙏
Yeah, micro USB is 🤮. Complete dealbreaker. Worst connector of all time.
How does it matter? I have had the Superlight for a year now and it has never bothered me even once
You can buy a cable with a separate magnetic connector, that way you just have to snap it if you want to charge and then leave the end in the mouse itself.
get a g303 shroud then , has the type C u want, cheaper, has a grip that if u get used to you'll like more than a neutral mouse's when u get confident.
Micro USB isn't a dealbreaker when you only have to charge it for 30 minutes every 10-12 days.
Great to see the multitude of awesome gaming mouses on the market considering the variability of hand shapes and sizes all over the world. Having the opportunity to choose from soooo many is a great thing to have 🥰🤯👍. Awesome vid and test rig Ali 🥰🤤.
Seriously so cool you've got the testing machine, so good. Even LTT doesn't bother with this and they're huge!
Great vid, have you heard of the Wooting 60HE? It's supposedly the worlds fastest keyboard.
Thanks for the video!
These are maybe best on paper, but keep in mind the stats are not very important if it doesn't fit your hand well. That was the case for me with the new razer products
Why? Was the mouse too big? Or too small?
One thing which you may have missed talking about is the difference in charging ports between the G pro x and the Viper V2 Pro. That being said it's really only a difference in convenience more than anything else.
another amazing video! could you also help with your windows sensitivity/ overwatch sensitivity? :D cheers!
I'm so excited we finally get to see this new test rig in action
I've got myself an upgrade from an R Basilisk to an L Pro x superlight due to your recommendation, and found the mouse of my dreams. The shape perfectly fits my hand, it's high enough in the palm area where I don't drag my hand on the mousepad, and it being so light reduces long playtime fatigue a lot. My KD in Apex also had seen nice improvement! So t hanks for those videos, they do bring a difference :D
And the grip is that good or do you recommend to buy extra grip. And maybe another mouse feet?
best YT channel out there. should have 20x the views and subs. good work beast
You could try and use Rawaccel to change the rotation of the sensor and that may solve some of the stair-stepping from mis-alignment. Not sure how it'd affect the latency though so it might require a separate test.
I always enjoy your videos, definitely going SFF because of your Videos. Cheers
Hello. Great video as always. I wonder why is nobody saying anything about Corsair mice like Sabre Pro? I think they are awesome for it's price point and also if you have larger hands ;-)
A review that I didn’t know I needed!
I was the Viper V2 also had side buttons on both sides, just like the Viper Ultimate.
Was these testing for click and sensor both done in wireless mode or wired? I watched and couldnt quite tell as it wasn't stated. Also OT please release the LDAT testing results in a public spreadsheet !
I do wonder if the sensor lag numbers are at all influenced by the inertia of the mice (though that would track to real world use as the lighter mice have less inertia in your hand as well).
Love to see you test the Pulsar Xlite V2 Mini
I gotta say I keep on going back to the razer orochi v2 for the shape and size for shooters. I just have better control when using it. I have a hyperx swift and an aerox 9 (for mmos) as well and while I like the hyperx for everyday more I really do better with the razer orochi and got it for less than $40. I'd be tempted to try the ultralight but I really can't justify the price difference.
After going through countless gaming mouses in the past few years, the superlight is the one I settled on. Well rounded and cost is reasonable unlike the M2K
I don't want to cannibalize your youtube views or anything, but I find myself looking through many youtube videos trying to find your data on different mice. You rightfully compare the Superlight and Razer products in almost all charts, but the other ones vary. I basically just want to have a picture of ALL the data you have because it's the best I've seen. If you happen to have that and could drop it in a google doc or something, I'd be so grateful. If you can't, I might go ahead and look through all your videos and compile it myself.
I bought a new Superlight for $80 in Amazon México, a friend who studies there will bring it in july, can't wait. I'll upgrade from a Glorious Model D. I algo bought some BTL Grips and skates
Xm1r is probably my top pick in the gpro field. Excellent coating, easy to get a grip on it. I found the gpx sl to be a bit slippery in comparison.
Have you tried the xm1? If so is it big step up to xm1r?
Man I just want that M3K with the updated sensor hnnng. Oh and perhaps a slightly more flexible cable.
I have one concern with the motion test. The result of movement from standstill might be majorly affected by how the sensor algorithm determines movement from standstill, and might not reflect the latency in motion. A better method could be method could be moving the mouse at a speed X and then accelerating it to speed Y, and detect the point where the speed changes compared to the command. The faster speed could use some insane power/speed, because the end speed doesn't matter, only the point where the speed changes.
Yes, do way more tests. Way MORE!
would love to see you reviewing the pulsar xlite v2 / v2 mini
is the m2k your new main? would you recommend it to a fingertip user on the viper mini?
Optimum Tech I've been looking at monitors recently and none of them have fit my needs of 32 inch 144hz above and 1440p. Until the Asus PG329Q, I was wondering if you can do a comparison or a video on itself because the monitor is costly. I would like to see if it is worth spending so much on that specific monitor. Thanks :)
Would have liked to see a Glorious mice in the testing stack, but great vid
At 1:28 it looks like you’ve replaced the skates aside from the sensor ring and kept it stock why is that if you don’t mind me asking? Great video btw was really helpful and gave answers to some questions I had.
Looking forward to your Xtrfy MZ1 review, Rocket Jump Ninja kills with it, but I think he could probably kill it with nearly any mouse.
optimum u better see this you have the best combo of knowledge, genuineness/honesty, and testing methods on yt and ur one guy keep it up all love!
Amazing review man. I just bought the viper ultimate v2 pro and loved it! I prefer the shape over the superlight because i have a fingertip grip and with the stock anti slip stickers they feel fantastic
Superlicht also have the stickers
@@juicy9592 those stickers that come with the GPX re said to be pretty bad
If only the clicks wern't so bad. Razer should just use enthusiast switches and bail on the optical garbage tbh
@@Snook_ I think they should stick to their guns and eliminate double clicking and close the gap between optical click feel and mechanical. Many people like the clicks anyway
@@Snook_ i like the optical ones better
You are definitely right when it comes to option. So many good options these days.
Can you please make a video for your kovaaks routine and tips to get better aim! PLLSSSS
I use to main the Viper before i got the Starlight-12 and honestly i miss it so i'm gonna grab the viper v2 and give it a go.
I just really want Zowie to put in the effort and catch up tbh. I've been using various EC1 models for about 10 years. I've tried getting used to other mice but every time I go back to the EC1 it's like coming home to your own bed after traveling. The size and shape is just the perfect fit for me. A wireless lightweight EC1 would be like walking on clouds.
check out the pulsar xlite v2
That's because you used it for so long. Just commit and change and youll suddenly realise your new 'home' or 'bed' isn't your old anymore. It's literally just time.
I ended up grabbing a G303 and I'm seriously considering buying another couple of them so I can have spares. I really, really like the feel and it's probably my favourite mouse I've ever tried.
You might like the MM720 too. I main a g303 but im tempted to buy a china 720 thats wireless to replace it. super super light and great shape for smaller hands
@@zednik8956 i still love the shapw and weight of mm720 but cm is just suck at making products. My mm720 died 2 times and never buy them again. Im on razer viper mini rn, not bad
@@zednik8956 g303 is the most comfortable shape for me, and I’ve tried almost everything else there is
I went from mm710 to logi g pro x to kone pro and tested friends' g305 , got g303 shround and just planning on selling or throwing all others. Its insane.
You people have not worked a minimum wage job, have you
Maybe make a video about the best controllers? As a controller junkie I would recommend the PowerA Enhanced Xbox Controller, PowerA Nintendo Switch Wired Controllers, Razer Wolverine, Xbox Series Elite Controller, Sony Dualsense Controller, PowerA Wireless GameCube style controller and Xbox 360 controller.
My boy flexing on his tracer's pulse stick. Nice video!
curious where your thoughts are on zowie mice? obviously they've been kind of behind ofr a while but with the talks about wireless soon should be cool seeing how they pair up
How is the Logitech GPX comparing to the the Endgame Gear XM2w Wireless and Pwnage Ultra Custom Wireless Symm 1 Gen 2 Those are the 3 im about to choose from and idk which i should buy atm, they seem all good to me, i do tend slightly to the Endgame atm.
Viper Mini is what I main right now - great button and response speed, and the sensor is good enough after updating the firmware to fix the LOD issue.
Everything that I've seen that contends with it is considerably more expensive. It's a ridiculously good mouse for the price.
They released another firmware? I was using the latest Mini firmware but still got the LOD issue.
My hand is pretty huge and i think that i'll sell viper mini to buy viper 8k. Dont get me wrong, the mouse is amazing for the price, its just my hand.... xddd
Does your side button wobble? Mine is slightly wobbly but it’s still working well enough to where it doesn’t affect me too much
@@3xtan327 mine's slightly wobbly too. Maybe its the design? I dont really care tbh since i use this mouse for fps gaming
You're nuts, that test rig is going to be so awesome when you figure it out! People are saying Razer should have released the Razer v2 pro as the Razer ViperX as part of their budget line and priced it at 80$ I would agree.
Bought a razer viper ultimate last year, and I'm never goin back to wired again. Love it !
id like to see a video on the xm2w once it starts shipping out
Pulsar X2/X2 Mini, Glorious Series One/ Model O Pro, LGG LA-1, XM2w, Vancer M1/N1, New Razer Deathadder, (Viper Mini Wireless??? copium). It is about to be a crazy 2nd half of the year for gaming mice!
Do keep an eye out for the Coolermaster mm713! Best shape with wireless and no holes at 59g. I just hope their QC and software dont shit the bed.
