You've got to hand it to Josh, He knew how many counting bits of food tasks he'd done...and he just sat on that knowledge and let the comedy unfurl
He also had a tattoo on his foot at the time that he had not yet revealed. Josh can keep a secret!

I'm convinced that everyone was originally going to do the counting task, and Josh was doing them first. Then he said that line and Alex decided to only make him do it.
To see Romesh absolutely losing his mind when he's normally pretty stoic is very very funny
I come back sometimes just to watch Romesh!
Romesh's best moment will forever be his attempt at opening a melon.

The devastation on Mark's face is priceless. No matter how many times I watch the clip it makes me laugh!

He was genuinely having trouble speaking, too. Even though he was laughing, I could feel his outrage and crushing disappointment.
I love watching Nish and Alex just giggling with so much glee. I loved this whole season's cast. Such good sports!
I love the episode of the podcast where Mark talks about how he assumed the texts weren't really going to Greg, probably just a researcher or something, and how Greg only ever replied once and it was to say something like " I like that" about a picture of Mark's torso or something 😂
Greg’s only response was about the torso makes this task even funnier 🤣🤣🤣

I love that Tim’s solo task was just a triumph, and he seemed so pleased that everyone enjoyed his joke.
Plus he managed to subvert everyone's railway pun expectations. That sort of cunning would make him a great "sleeper" agent.
Ramesh’s absolute DELIGHT realizing Josh was given a special tasks is still one of my favorite TM moments.
The reaction to 'oh, then I can give him no points' (for Mark's cheeky texts, at 5:02) might be my all-time favourite Taskmaster moment.

It’s true, at least excepting anything where Alex was wearing a costume. Alex’s explanation for this on the podcast was something along the lines of “because it’s Mel Geidroyc”
Even weirder, he always used a bell for David Baddiel, but a whistle for everyone else. To the best of my knowledge, he's never explained this at all.
greg's tiny smile at 2:35 should've been mark's first sign that this was going to end badly
Greg being genuinely devastated by his own call to give Mark no points for the texts was amazing
Just to remind everyone that the extra tasks Josh did end up with him winning Champions of Champions - he won that series by 1point.
Were the points from their respective series carried over into Champion of Champions? I thought they just started the point scoring over?
@@funkyfranx No they weren't carried over but the thing is that if he didn't have the extra point, he wouldn't have the won the first season in the first place, so he couldn't have gone into champions of champions
@@abhijeetraut6427 It's true about that point taking him into COC but he still could have got in without it. Without it it would have been a tied score, leading to a tiebreaker task and he might have won that.

I have watched this so many times because watching Mark Watson's reactions will never get old. I don't think that task would have worked as well with any other contestant. There's something about Mark's unique mix of befuddlement and innocence that made this comedy gold.
Sure, Mark spent 5 months sending texts and got no points, but Sally gave him a hug, so he's the clear winner.
As much as I generally prefer the other seasons to season 6, the Tim Vine outfit pun task is such a work of genius that it has to be up there with one of my favourites of all time
That second of silence when everyone was processing his pun..!
I genuinely do not understand why people find Tim Vine funny. It might be a cultural thing, but I truly do no understand it.

@@lilyweatherwax3773Few issues with that idea: 1) The texting started five months before the live shows and I do not believe that Alex has a time machine. 2) Alex wouldn't seek revenge for something like that. 3) This prank was as much on Greg as it was on Mark. No, this was just Alex having fun. And, remember, Alex is the true Task Master.

Does anyone know what the bleeped word is when they are talking about Mel? I've never seen an uncensored version of that even in uncensored versions. Mel said "heck" and both Alex and Greg say "and that's Mel's version of Mega (bleep.)" I would assume it's "Mega Cunt" being a common British term but I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone seen an uncensored version of it?

This show is brilliant!!!!!! There is no sadism or Masochism! There is nothing in this show except "COMEDY"! The "TASKMASTER", is perfect! Alex Horn deserves a BAFTA for this show!!!!!!! No harm was meant! Alex IS! A genius! Greg Davies suits the role of taskmaster "Perfectly"!
