    • See now it's funny, because I always felt like the brilliance of Rhod on Taskmaster was most highlighted by the Extension team task ... unlike everyone else, who usually immediately panics, he spends a few seconds at the start of every task just standing still, thinking about it, and then come up with his brilliant bizareness. Rhod and James are two of my favorite TM contestants of all time; both separately and as nemeses.

    • It's unfortunate for us deaf/hard-of-hearing people that hearing people take it so personally when you "ignore" their verbal greeting. I know James did it intentionally, but I do it unintentionally all the time, when hearing people talk at the back of my head and I don't hear them. Hopefully Gregg, Alex and the others will read these comments and do something about releasing the BTS footage - there's clearly a demand for it. So much was (in jest, of course) mean-spirited or over-the-line like how he got Alex's pants off in almost one task each episode or how he snuck into Greg Davies' home to film him while he was sleeping for a prize task. • Really great to see the video, see the auto-generated closed captions, and somewhat hear the audio as a hard-of-hearing fan with ADHD. I don't know if our boi Rhod is this way with his ADHD, but a lot of neurodivergent (ND) people need audio and visual stimuli combined to process and understand the information. Audio plus video plus captions, not just audio in isolation like the radio or a video with audio but no captions. Not to mention that non-native English speakers / English language learners often need captions, especially if they're not familiar with particular accents or dialects of English. Communicating information via all sensory modalities available makes it accessible to as many people as possible.

The itch is gone now and I've spend way too long doing stuff I should have done days ago, like folding laundry and the dishes, without noticing the time has gone by. My home now looks like it's power washed and professionally polished without me having felt time go by because of this great show. Thanks Rhod and friends!

  • 3:35 honestly ADHD can sometimes feel like it's early onset dementia, especially on a bad day. Also just a heads up for my fellow ADHDers with a uterus, apparently menopause and perimenopause REALLY makes the ADHD much worse to the point that people have been investigated for dementia, but no it's just ADHD. This isn't relavent in much way to the video, which is great btw a new podcast to listen to!!!

    • @@DjurslandsEfterskole no problemo!! Glad to have been helpful!! I only recently learnt about it myself (definitely experienced it personally with the joys of the ✨ menstrual cycle✨); I'd recommend using search terms like ADHD menstrual cycle, ADHD and menopause etc. For a starting point if you want to find out more information. Unfortunately, it's not an area that a ton of research has been done in, but it's beginning to pick up (found one journal article from last year for example). Long story short, dopamine is involved as always and progesterone I believe is as well. Good luck to yourself as well, and my support to your mother because ADHD is hard enough to manage without hormonal changes and fluctuations, and going through that with no idea of what is happening sounds horrific.
