The show is literally about an ex-teacher grading and disciplining a class of comedians.
Grading and degrading
*metaphorically
@@teddyochfreddy No, literally.
@@EnoVarma hehe, well I know Greg used to be a teacher, but they're not 'literally' a class but I get what you mean sorry for being boring i was just making a reference to the clip;)
@@teddyochfreddy That's alright. Mind you, though, that they could be called "a class of comedians" in the same way as you might say "a murder of crows".
Greg channelling his inner teacher at James never gets old haha
That same energy comes out when he is disappointed in all of them at the end and stands up during the moment of silence. All of them start cracking up like school kids who are in trouble.
You can literally see the moment teacher mode activates
Always think if James had called Greg 'Dad' it would of nailed it, still funny as fxxk!
I've watched it so many times and I still cry from laughing
"Never in the history of the whole show" He literally gave them the teacher's "Never in my 30 years of teaching" speech.
Love Greg and Ed’s… “Yeah, but you’re a conscious being” “Oh i’m so sorry” Best show ever!😂
"*I* GOT THREE SENSITIVITY LEVELS"
“Not the traditional way!” *“YES THE TRADITIONAL WAY!!!”* Poor Alex 😂😂😂😂
Do we know what "the traditional way" is for Alex to be punished? Or at least any fan theories?
@@smileydeassman5573 May be he is slathered in honey and thrown to the bees?
BLEEEEEASDALE
@@fullautumnmoon Nice. I was thinking more of the "Thank you sir may I please have another" route. Your theory has lots of merits as it seems more likely to cause Alex's reaction but not degrading enough based on how Greg treats him. Maybe some sort of combo? We definitely need more suggestions.
@@smileydeassman5573 We all know what you mean. I fear it maybe wishful thinking.
It's always strange when they edit out most of her marble run and it looks like everyone is excited because it managed to roll for 5 seconds
That’s why. I was so confused. 😂
James Acaster using his inner voice outside and not realizing it until after he said it is the best lol.
lol he's just a quick witted comedian, he knew it would make for good tele
Intrusive thoughts won
@@joshyaash Don't try explaining jokes. Some people don't get it
@@swanningabout Yes, because that was so deep. 🙄
It's just made better by the way Greg instantly goes back to his teacher days and dealt him.
mr davies really likes to “i’m not mad i’m just disappointed”
Well, he was a teacher.
Those brief glimpses of Teacher Greg are always my favorite parts of Taskmaster.
I’m also a teacher and I agree! You can see the teacher inside Greg.
Mawaan hiding inside his hoodie will forever be a mood
4:14 “you’re a conscious being!” “Oh I’m SO sorry” Is maybe one of the funny little bits of by play I’ve seen on this show
"I've got three sensitivity levels! To be honest, I'm on my top F***ing one right now!" is up there as well
Ed getting angry was always very funny.
James showed genuine fear when called over by Greg haha Must've been an intimidating presence as a teacher
They shortened Katherine’s marble run in this clip, it went on much longer.
Thank you I kept replaying it to see why they were so impressed
James getting scolded like a school boy by Greg makes me die every time 🤣😂 you really can tell Greg used to be a teacher hahaha
Greg is the living proof that you can take the man out of teaching, but you cannot take the teacher out of the man.
"Yeah but you're a conscious being!" "OH IM SOOOO SORRY" has to be the best interaction ever
My favourite is Joe Lycett's retort "oh we should have gone to SPACE!" but I can't remember which episode that was from
"I'm not gonna kill the hope.. I'm just gonna.. make the hope realistic about expectations"
Greg swearing at the studio audience will *never* get old!!
Did anyone else notice that Phil's "Confusing little box" is the same one from the duck task from last week (13x1).
And Stuart The Camel was in the second episode
I noticed that, a lot of nice callbacks going on :)
You can really tell he used to be a teacher in some of these.
"I'VE GOT THREE SENSITIVITY LEVELS!"
That one really got me lmao
*AND I'LL BE HONEST, I'M ON MY TOP FUCKING ONE RIGHT NOW!*
That couple moments of silence would have been extra fun/weird because there was no studio audience. The audience laughing was from a different location, due to covud restrictions. So, it was just them with Greg looming disappointedly.
7:33 will always be the funniest thing on Taskmaster
I think it's when Rodd has a picture of Gregs mom in a bath wearing a fez, his double take and genuine shock is perfect.
I agree with you Jade. Part of me knows that if he didn't say he was sorry they might have been picking up teeth off the stage.
@@dirtydisco9080 yep , alex was concerned and even tried to stop greg , can clearly hear it from his "don't don't don't "
Reminds me of when he pull Nish Kumar to the side to tell him to take the game seriously😂
I completely agree with Ed, Rose, and Katie on the buckaroo side of things. Greg's talking out his arse.
I've decided that Greg's interactions feel like Ed is his son so of course he treats Nish and James like his kid's best friends that are at his house all the time.
I’m surprised you didn’t put the watermelon task when someone cheated and they were debating whether the guy winked at the camera and Greg got genuinely angry at his arrogance.
You mean the king of cheating, Mr. Tim Key?
Greg’s little talks near screen are my favorite
I think I remember a moment during a final task on stage, when the contestants were supposed to roll or throw something in Greg's direction and someone threw a coconut dangerously close.. he got genuinely pissed!
Nish Kumar, and Greg actually took pity on him because he was doing so bad and gave him 3 points 😂
I love seeing Greg go into teacher mode
When teacher Greg comes out, it’s the funniest shit to me.
the boos when he insults chuckle brothers RIP Barry
The confusing little box scene is my fav ever 😂
Greg taking James Acaster over to one side and leaning one arm over to quietly talk down to and intimidate him is such a teacher thing to do, you get the feeling he really enjoyed that.
Without a doubt this show is the best tv ever made.
Greg is hilarious
Why did you cut the box bit before the final part where Greg smashed the box? How can you fail this cut so badly? That's where the anger squares and we get a proper pissed-off Greg.
I know, I was thinking that was the actual point where Greg got "angry"
Am I imagining they used Phil's little box in the first episode of series 13?! I swear it was the box under the table in the duck task!
I said that as well !
Second episode re-used the camel from the smallest gap task and the lobster Tim Vine used to measure a piece of string
7:33 - this is where I remembered that Greg used to be a teacher XD
Wasps do definitely recognises faces, they tell their mates what I look like, my description has been passed on through generations of those stripped little bastards.
There was an ad for Glasgow tourism. Glasgow, where no one is a stranger. I’ve actually been to Glasgow more than once. And it was full of strangers.
I'd say it'd have been better to go to the Ad itself to leave that comment but it's been 6 months, you'll never find it in your history. Before I get told 'ads don't show up in your history' by anyone, that is true, however if you press the option in the menu to the right of the list 'Manage All History" you get a more complete list of everything you have watched, including the ads, allowing you to find them as separate videos, where you can comment your criticisms to them.
How could you cut the unopanable box bit there?
Such a great show
Love this show so much
I love when Greg goes in teacher mode 😂😂
Anyone else find Mawaan adorable and cute as a button?????
I totally fancied him by end of ep 1 😂
I find him to be mostly annoying. Between him and Gus they've tried to cheat or blame Alex more than any other contestants.
I think that's why he's on TV. He is, as you so rightly point out, as cute as the proverbial button and not annoying at all.
Lol so good
4:14 Oh I’m so sorry lol
"I am The Spring System ! "
Dropping the F word is even more funnier
I need mowan sparkly hoodie
I think a more honest title would be The Greatest Times Greg Davies feigned ANGER!
🙄
I like how alot of these were just him being funny :P
4:59
It’s only bothered me for a year but how could the marble roll in a dryer set to TuMbLe? Bring on series 15 please
I absolutely LOVE James Acaster!!!
No Al Murray bribing Alex? Slacker.
Why do they never include the one with Nish Kumar in these?
Coz he is as funny as piles.
97% liquid wtf
Why us the stupid little box on every clip?
Regarding KP's marble run, is there not an instantaneous moment where the ball stops before reversing? Therefore only movement in its initial direction should count.
They were timing ALL movement after the person first put it in motion. Although it did temporarily stop when it rolled upwards, gravity still caused it to continue rolling without Katherine having to do anything. In Mawaan's case though, he first let go of it by placing it in the washing machine. Then turning the washing machine on was the second time he actively put it in motion and so that time didn't count.
I thought about that as well, but then I thought, if we're really going to be pedantic on that, then it probably never did stop rolling until the very end anyway as it may have had a bit of sideways wobble while the forewards/backwards movement reversed which would be hard to measure to prove either way. In the end it's a gameshow and whatever the judge says goes so however he wanted to judge that works
@@mrquirky3626 The other thing is the washing machine moved the marble a little bit, then stopped in the full video of his task. So even if they counted him starting the washing machine, it wound up performing badly.
“My cup shall runneth over” or overflow and the reason he said “overfloweth” is because it’s from the Bible and is meant metaphorically. It’s Psalm 43:5 where King David speaks about God’s abundant provision to him. “…though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” (KJV)
Just one question. In which scene was Greg even remotely angry, or even played angry?
Great show spoiled by adverts.
I mean the girls winning ball came to a stop the moment it hit the end of the track. Even if for only a microsecond it did stop and that should have been the end of her marble run.
Incorrect, she didn't assist the ball after it was rolled. If gravity does it on its own, then it's just part of the marble run.
Bet you’re a laugh on a night out Gaz
Whatever that is at 3:08 is a good advertisement to not watch that season of Taskmaster.
I love the excessive laugh track in a completely empty room
Every fucking time.... Do you understand that they film in a huge theatre? Do you understand that, even with social distancing, they can still accommodate an audience? Why is there ALWAYS some snot-nosed little cretin, sniffly pushing their glasses up their nose and trying to score some ridiculous point about laugh tracks while making themselves look like an absolute imbecile?
what total tosh
A comedian entertains whilst many of these are, quite simply, pestiferous.
What’s funny is other people seem amused and entertained. Perhaps it you who is pestiferous.
@@emilchandran546 he just wanted to use a new word he’s learnt so people thought he was clever
Someone got a 'Word of the Day' calendar for christmas. Good for you.
This show is always lacking attractive women.
??
@@snowfloofcathug trying to figure out how to find the person that wrote your idiotic name?
This comedy show is total rubbish, I can’t come to this!
Aisling Bea, Katherine Ryan.
This 'man' is always lacking an attractive personality. Or any personality.
Nothing funnier than Gregg in Teacher Mode. NOTHING.
