You need to do Land Cruiser / JBL synthesis system .
Do you think it's a break-in issue? I mean is it likely getting better with time and more listening? I've heard of the B&W in Volvos they are the BEST. But I'd rather take the LX than an XC90, or X7 (which also has B&W) for that sake.

This system should be rated at a B at best. Savagegeese said it’s the worst ML they’ve tested and Sofyan said it didn’t live up to expectations and that even the system in the Jeep is better from McIntosh.

I would trust Daily Motor and Savagegeese opinion more than Sofyan , Sofyan though I like his reviews is not the biggest fan of Lexus or Toyota . In my own listening not an audiophile by any means I think the RX350 sounds better than the one in LX600 I drove in their Lexus street drive events and the BMW X7 with the Bowers and Wilkins sounds best among any car I have heard.

I bought the Lexus LX500d. If volume goes over 46, bass completely dies out and mid range is screaming in your ears. Any assistance to fix this? Settings?
In the lexus lx 600 forum another person had the same issue. I think you should check out lexus lx 600 forums. You find atleast two people with the same issue you are having.
I was definitely surprised that it was not s-tier. These systems are normally very good, but the has been a rework of the new entertainment system and it looks to have negatively impacted the sound quality a little.
No, they are not normally very good. In fact, I would say their great systems are the exception, rather than the rule. Note that I'm talking about their in-car systems. They supposedly make outstanding home systems, but then again I've never experienced them, so cannot comment on those. Now, the ones in the previous generation LX 570 and the current GX 460 are truly exceptional. The rest range from mediocre to downright subpar (ES 350). In fact, the JBL systems found in their less expensive TOYOTA counterparts, are vastly superior and sound outstanding. Go figure!

Charlie, All I hear is the sound of money. Is there a log book in the glove compartment where 'KZheadrs' can sign their name? I think this is the fifth channel to share the same LX 600.
I will till you why because they change the tweeter speaker location so there is no balance like before the lixes 2020 to 2008 the tweeter was up not down forgive me for my bad English
I wonder if they were able to fix it because it seems from all you reviews lexus 2 hasn't gotten an s-tier in general since the LX 570 and GX460 even the es350 wasn't to good 🤔
This speaker system is good enough. If you play a song it will still sound stellar. If you want even more output then tune it to your own liking. Its a good system but the previous one was extraordinary.
Kinda sad the LX doesnt offer blue anymore and, instead, offers that green.
I upgraded my LX570 to LX600 this year. I'm quite disappointed with the LX600 sound system. Even not comparable with my 2014 BMW Harman Kardon system. Due to the global supply shortage, they may put crap Toyota speakers in this car.
My 2022 RX350 ML also does not sound very well. I was also thinking they either cheaped out the amplifier or put crap speakers in the car.
oopsy, I think they went backward on LX6000 because of weight reduction on the car may be that impacted the sound system too
The difference in the sound system and whether its inferior will only be felt by people who have lexus lx570,range rover autobiography or other suvs of this class. Otherwise any random will tell you this is the best system. Only an audiophile will notic e a difference.
I am an LX600 and come from a 2006 LX470. The sound system in my LX470 is vastly superior than the new one. This new version disappoints.
The tuning is such a disappointment. It’s even more of a bummer knowing what mark levinson is capable of creating

You are being very generous in scoring this system. I would say it is just VERY MEDIOCRE. In fact, the newer Mark Levinson systems have been awful. This one is nowhere near as DOWNRIGHT TERRIBLE, as the ones in the LS 500 and ES 350, but it's still not all that great. Mark Levinson is a terrible company, IMO. Their products are very hit or miss. The only 2 systems that were genuinely STELLAR, were the ones in the _PREVIOUS _*_LX 570_* and the current *GX 460* (the best one to date). The rest were all pretty trashy. Very "unbalanced" sound, and not tonally pleasing at all. You nailed it when you said, you need to turn it waaayy down, to not feel the "harshness" in the music! It is much worse in the LS 500, and especially the ES 350. In fact, I believe that the JBL systems in comparable TOYOTA versions are vastly superior! Yeah, I know, blasphemy! However, nothing, repeat nothing comes close to the NAKAMICHI systems in older Lexuses (Lexi?), especially the one in the 1998-2000 LS 400. That was the *pinnacle* of high-fidelity sound in a Lexus!

Everyone of those crappers installed in an IS are proven failures. Theres more content on KZhead mmm Mark Levinson’s never ending Lexus failures than any of the any author automaker in the worldthat a. Love Lexus, but when a I buy a new one, a see a cheap looking, just adequate sounding underperforming, guaranteed failure with Mark Levinson name it will immediately leave & go the Audio. IS350F is an awesome, reliable car, but Mark Levinson is irrelevant, cheap, yet expensive crap. The Mark Levinson is synonymous with poor performance. Chevy Malibu’s come with far better audio.
