    • Oh. When I posted that originally 4 months ago, I had two dogs and one cat. In December I rescued a cat so I had two cats and two dogs. Then my oldest, 13yo dog, passed away on Feb 4th. It left me with cats and a dog...life story over. =)

    • She was abandoned by her previous owners, but she would keep coming back to the same door and meow everyday to be let in. It was December by then, our first day of freezing temps was upon us and I saw her sitting there for quite some time meowing. I lured her with food and slipped a leash around her neck to bring her inside. I put her in a kennel to be safe and to get used to the other animals. I put her story and pic on Facebook hoping someone could take her, but they could not. After awhile, she just started following me around and sitting with me and eventually, she became mine, thru weeks of building trust together. I just couldn't betray that trust for her again by giving her away.

    • Agreed! Most other fireplace videos either have 'off' sounding crackling that isnt relaxing, or cheap wind sounds tacked on top that breaks the immersion. This one is perfect, I even forget it is on while reading and my brain assumes a fireplace is actually lit at my feet.

      @holdim387@holdim3877 жыл бұрын
    • Id join your country, Sir. First thing. +ToonandBBfan that makes zero sense. +Trafalgar Lawn THESE are dark ages as well. The entire planet is dying, rape is prevalent, the government hates their fucking people, murder and war are still a part of every day life, people live in fear, people starve, people get diseases, molestation of children is prevalent, innocent people still fill the jails, i dont know what the fuck youre talking about. And not only that, but if someone made an entire medieval INSPIRED country it would exist in modern times and thus couldnt be exactly the same anyway. +Megatto, have you ever gone camping? Its the same fucking thing. No one who likes going camping fucking cares. Nor would anyone who wants to live in a Medival inspired town. +Jonas Mindaugas Baravykas Religion is not the blame for dark times. Its people who are to blame. As they are now. Not only can a religion not possibly be responsible for what people choose to do with it, or how to perceive it, but the religious were not then, and are not now, the only people responsible for extreme violence. This is coming from humans, with or without any religion. Regarding all of these commenters, and so many other pathetic humans, I cant fathom how people can possibly be so stupid. PS Down Like FortySeven there are tons of people who do LARP, hardcore, where they have medieval towns set up and shit for like a week. Ever thought of trying one of those events out? I have no idea where you live but i know LARP exists in tons of countries. Though the frequency of such massive LARP events i do not know. Worth looking into, you can immerse yourself in that world even now. Without unlimited amounts of money. Hell, you could also host your own fuckign events. Go camping in old gear with old fashioned tools and shelter. Make everything by hand. Its funny how some people think the Medieval ages are so outdated and cant understand how anything worked for people back then. Welp, people survived didnt they? Else humans wouldnt still exist today. The tools they had worked, the clothes and shelter kept them alive, that shit is still useful today. To be honest more people should know how to survive without all the fucking convenience offered for money today. I should also mention that im a vegetarian, and that even i would be thrilled to try my hand at living in another age. I would still be a vegetarian, but id love to work hard, live closer to the world, to the soil and the stone. Its fucking exhilarating. Speaking of which i really need to go camping this Spring or summer. The way things are at the moment, i can barely stand it. I miss living. LIVING. Taken too far away from whats natural and being amongst so many miserable fucks, insistent upon passing on their disease, believe me, fighting to survive out in the wild id be more alive than i am right now. I used to be very alive, all this black gunk humans ooze out has dulled my spirit, im very sorry to say. So in other words, i feel you. Im with you. And also here to remind you that you can experience that life even without the riches. So fucking do it bro.

It says a shit-ton about how waaay too many of us are stressed out, need vacations, or just basically need the world to stop turning for just a damned minute so we can take a freakin' breather from the insanity of modern life. Ironic that many people are finding this respite on a medium that sometimes contributes to the "noise," as it were. (Just sayin' what's on a lot of peeps' minds, I think. :P)

Beautiful, just absolutely warm, old, wabi, perfect. And this is the fireplace sound I've been looking for: soft, slowed, smoothed, full, simple... not popping loud in your face like a bunch of kids hitting caps! There's only one other fireplace sound I also like. Yours is superb! Ideal. The idea of the way-place for weary travelers is one of my favorite settings & concepts! (I guess they don't even make or allow caps for toy guns anymore? They had actual gunpowder in them. Much more fun to hit with rocks, they were! Lol!) There was an iron cast stove in which my grandparents used to put some logs in to warm up the living/ dining room on rainy early autumn days. This sound brings me exactly over there, I can see my inner child peacefully sitting on an armchair and relaxing to the sound of wood burning in the stove and the rain falling on the windows.

  • There's something about the sound of fireplace and weather sound that just makes me feel content about sitting still and study/work/read/draw/design/do-some-tough-brain-work/etc ... my biggest worry is listening to this too many times and having my brain pick up on the repetitiveness, then the magic will be gone! So now I have to carefully ration this one with some other ambience track, but good ones are so hard to find! They often are _too_ noisy!

  • The wind and rain whips at a young man and woman as they rush to the door of a old yet beautifully constructed cabin. The sign above the thick pinewood door may be faded but still proudly proclaims "Adventurers and Travelers Welcome!" a comforting sight for the pair of nomads as they walk through the threshold of the cabin. "gods. Is this storm ever gonna lift?" says the young woman as she closes the door behind her. "I doubt it's gonna lift any time soon Sam, we might as well make ourselves comfortable... I get the feeling we're gonna be here a while." The young man says while hanging up his drenched over coat. "I was hoping to be in graycott by the end of the week John." Sam says to her companion, with a hint of annoyance in her soft yet commanding voice. "well that obviously isn't happening, you go ahead and see if there's any food around here. I'll get a fire going." Johnathan quickly gathers kindling and begins building a fire while Samantha rummages through the pantry. To her surprise the kitchen is well stocked and she reckons there's enough food here to last three weeks on a diet of three meals a day... The two of them worked quickly and in just a few short hours they have made themselves at home. With full stomachs and the fire burning bright the two get comfortable and listen to the sounds of storm and fire...

    • Michelle Johnson If you have a tablet, PC or other additional, larger screen device, you could use it to play a visual video of animated raindrops while playing this audio on another device? Also there are both fyi ways as well as devices to project the shadow of the raindrop images you like onto your wall! I love leaf shadow, shadows of rain running down the window glass, sunset colors, awning/scrollwork/old fashioned ripple glass shadows etc when they land on my walls. It's like visual ASMR for me.
