In this episode of Hermitcraft Season 8, Mumbo builds a giant industrial automatic Minecraft farm to harvest lava for the Minecraft XP farm. This high efficiency Minecraft lava farm allows me to get hundreds of lava buckets in a short space of time. He himself has noted that Hermits have been curious about his Cool Corner, gotten stuck in the powdered snow, panicked, and flew away, never to return, not making any sales. He needs to make his shop signage more visible and clear somehow, both the advertising and the directions on how to safely use the Cool Corner. Remember how difficult it was for the Hermits to find the Tegg room in the canyon? They kept completely missing it because everything blends into everything else in the canyon. If you're not at the correct angle, you'll never even see the Nether portal room in the canyon. I'm betting Mumbo DID look around in the base and failed to find the dripstone shop, even though it's directly across from the Cool Corner. (I mean, also TFC went to Boatem looking for Harmless Harvests and managed to walk RIGHT OVER IT without seeing it. :-D) Regarding asking... It's Mumbo and Cub. Their time zones probably don't line up very well. I suspect they're not online frequently together. Mumbo could, of course, ask in the Discord, but he needed dripstone right then, and probably wasn't planning on waiting for Cub to wake up or whatever.

But the Tegg that you want to be hidden and a store that you want people to shop at shouldn't BOTH be practically invisible. If you want people to shop at your store, you should make it easy to find. He designed the entrance so it would be coming in from right to left, and curved it clockwise, but he put the sign for the boots on the right wall, which is not where people would easily spot it. And I assumed he did look around a bit, sure. Why can't I assume that? He's a reasonable and intelligent person. I would think that he wouldn't be just "Fly into the canyon. Don't see a shop. “It’s time to build some farms” + “I need iron” definitely does not mean that he should make his own iron farm.
He wouldn't need so much iron if he did some simple math before building.. this farm would actually be almost 2.5x faster(!) if he used 2.5x less cauldrons! They take about 19 minutes to fill up with lava, he's got about 440 of them and pistons here move about every 16 seconds making it 220/h. Remember, he's got 440 cauldrons that take 20 minutes to fill so only with right clock it could be 1300/h instead of 220/h right now ;))) this farm is nothing but a waste of time and iron

Might want to add a shulker box loader to the storage system. Just to make picking up buckets of lava easier. Then you could just put an entire shulker into your fuel system with a shulker unloader.

I feel like an Iron farm is especially against Peace, Love and Plants by nature. Like, the others rely on spawning conditions that are already happening, but an Iron farm, you gotta go out of your way to create those spawning conditions, just to immediately burn the spawned golems.
Grian makes so many diamonds because he sells high demand items: he knows the supply and demand. Sand, deepslate, gravel: usually it's stuff that are annoying to get.

Getting iron like that from Tango is almost more of a crime than the chest lag in Boatem - I love it!
Cub has a bunch of dripstone because he desperately needs it for the floor of his massive canyon. You will have set his base back considerably. Why don't you take his diamonds...because you need them. Leave a diamond for every block of diamonds and tell Cub to let you know if he needs more. All the dripstone will go to making his giant lava shop, putting Cub's out of business.
Mumbo, as a content creator I am amazed by the way you make your videos. You could do the most boring thing in Minecraft and still make it interesting for a full 20 minutes and I don't know how you do it. But whatever it is, keep doing it!

To fix the raining problem you should be able to just place a ceiling above the cauldrons to stop the rain from getting to them, and with the dripstone connected to a block, the block should prevent any rain from filling up the cauldron.

I love the mindset. anybody else needs fuel for their furnace based xp farm, they make a kelp farm or something where the only thing needed outside the farm itself is crafting the stuff into blocks. not mumbo, no siree. our mumbo makes this exuberant lava farm which required an insane amount of iron for buckets and cauldrons and is generally not as cost effective because it looks cool. perfect.
It'll be way more efficient in the long run, though. Lava buckets are INSANE fuel sources. They just weren't renewable until now.
@@kabobawsome he could have used blaze rods of his blaze farm, both you have to be afk for a certain long time, but ... well, he will already gain the XP, and it should be more reasons for that Edit: blaze rods are horrible fuel, idk where I saw they are good, maybe the Mandela effect
