Lerdsilla was almost 40 years old, it’s amazing. 🙌🏻
That last kick putting Mahmoudi on the ground though.. that was one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. It doesn't make any sense how fast it was. Even though he saw it coming he still delivered that kick so fast you have to watch it in slow motion just to see it happen. This is at the end of the fight and at his age.
Sad to see old age catching up to lerdsila, he is already tired during round 2. Retire well legend. Props to elias, very good pressure style. Dissapointed elias vs haggerty never happened.
People fight in their 40s. Age is just a number. What matters is how much you push and how driven you are.
@@ManofOneGod true but as hard Mike Tyson worked I'm sure as of right now he cannot beat top fighters today
@@ManofOneGod dont lie
@@ManofOneGod Age is just a number? Not really.
@@ManofOneGod says Meka who never fought once in his life
Good Muay Thai fighters are oddly satisfying to watch for me. Also the respect and "play" for each other is just beautiful. :)
why is that odd?
@@liamlive2972 I guess it would be considered odd by some if one considers two guys kicking/elbowing/... each other in the face satisfying :D
@@Jannes267 ha true
Damn that was a hard, technical and respectful match! Masterclass indeed, but the respect they had for each other, especially when the final bell rang, is what makes this sport so awesome for me 👊
..
Lerdsila the most evasive fighter during his younger years and still has it, but I think his stamina declined thats why he lost this fight
I think he caught a hit on the nose and couldn't breath out of it. It showed early in the first round.
I think he just used up all he's tricks and would be punished for trying many of them,,so like always he tries to evade the entire figth and survive but just doesn't have the flow anymore ,,can only evade one move at the time and do that to go in for clinch and dump ..he never attacked only a few teeps.. it's the age he can probably outrun most people he's own age even many runner's and is still in great shape and have it all in he's head but even he's head evasive techniques have become way slower ...
No. The reason he lost this fight is because the referee wouldn’t let them clinch. That favors the taller fighter and takes away half the tools from a Muay Thai fighter. It’s honestly disgusting. This wasn’t Muay Thai; this was just kickboxing.
Guess he can't run away from age
Someone noticed how Lerdsilla reads his opponent for a minute and starts his freflexes do their work after he understands him. Guy just a legend.
Wow! Masterclass indeed! I Came for Lerdsila but damn this Mahmoudi kid is really good. Thanx for the Upload.
way more exciting than UFC and MUCH classier
Can’t even compare the 2.
Phenominal performance and respect shown by both fighters. What a joy to watch.
If Lerdsila were 15 years younger, he would put up an exciting show👌👌
Nice, he utilized his reach advantage and scored those points. Can't hate.
And One referee is doing it again. Interrupting clinch as it starts ...
There are other referees that allow them to work in the clinch. This one is just bad. Maybe he thought this was a kickboxing match?
My gosh Size differences uncall for
Salute for the legends lerdsila 🔥🔥🔥
Imagine growing up watching a guy fight and eventually getting your chance to be at him
Too much size difference
What a respectful match ❤️

Proud of u Elias from Algeria ❤️🤗
Good strategy. Non stop pressure. Plus he was skilled enough to keep the fight equal at first, and run away in the third.
Terrible referee. Cost Lerdsila the fight because he kept breaking up the clinch. He made this into a kickboxing fight instead of Muay Thai.
It's one rules... Supposedly I'm not sure but that must be it
All fair game… Lerdsila doesn’t mind. But yeah kinda defeats the point of having stand up matches in a cage. I see the point your trying to make in pointing out the early opportunities where Lerdsila had a chance to kill his opponent, but Lerdsila, being from an isolated and under- surveilled country where you could easily murder just about anyone you wanted and get away with it, knows this is not the point. The point is to toy with the opponent so much so you can read their every move and take it as a workout every time blows are landed. The transfer of knowledge within Muay Thai and it’s earlier arts is yes, inefficient, but to see such a culture with a collective consciousness as Thailands and it’s surrounding jungle areas is fascinating and captivating to say the least. It’s almost as if grandmaster like him get hypnotized into thinking that fighting with an opponent whom only uses basics is shameful and worthy of deaths. Unworthy opponents get schooled way later on when they learn the secrets of grand thinkers such as Lerdsila.
True lerd works amazing clinch game espically against larger pppentents. He loves to do these jumping knee strikes in the clinch. And he is great about using his reactions and predictions to get in the clinch. It's just a shame a lot of ref's don't allow him to shine in the clinch. A great example of a good ref allowing cliches, lerd vs momotaro. That's an amazing fight between 2 greats, with good refing
Why does the referee keep breaking up the clinch? Does he think this is kickboxing? What an amateur. Probably changed the result of the fight.
You're the amateur, this is ONE, not Lumpinee. Check the rules before commenting without have an idea.
@@vlahell Wow. That was an aggressive comment. First of all, if what you're saying is true, it still isn't okay. Muay Thai is defined by the clinch. If you take that away, it isn't Muay Thai. Second of all, you should check ONE's ruleset before commenting because you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Just watch other referees like Elias Dolaptsis and you'll see that they let the fighters work in the clinch for as long as they are staying busy. Also, Michael Schiavello said on broadcast that fighters are allowed to work in the clinch for five seconds before they get broken up.
@@vlahell why do some other refs allow longer clinches, in contrast to your rule?
Masterclass Muay Thai, nothing more to say. Thank you, One

What rule set is this that they don't allow the clinch?
Because that clinch are not interesting.
@@rafishgollow6030 Totally disagree with you....its to give non thais less disadvantage, because of the skill of high level clinch....its 'uninteresting ' to the untrained eye

It's soo annoying to watch a referee attempt to break up an exchange WHILE someone is getting thrown down.... these rules 👎
The marching of time spares no one. Sad to actually witness it That said, what a true warrior Lerdsila is - twice the age of his opponent and still giving him a hard time.
Hard time ? Split fesicison bruh

@@stickymoney lol I was drunk. I was trynna write split decision 😂
@@dilsherbhat156 hahaha 🤣 👍🏻
Amazing fight from both fighters !
Great fight
Same weight?
I think the lack of allowing clinch's was a poor choice; sometimes someone was about to be dumped or attacked when it's broken up. Also age doesn't do well for a head movement style seems like. If he had more stamina he likely would've won this fight or if he had better boxing as he could more easily and less costly counter Mahmoudi; kicks require more energy.
Congratulations elias... good job
what were the weights of these two see how much weight and size difference that elias guys dwarfs lerdsilla
très beau combat
DZ 😭🇩🇿✨
I wish Olivier Coste would let them work in the clinch a bit more tbh :/
Indeed, It is a masterclass
I signed in to say it looked to me like the ref would break up clinches, and there was absolutely no ground and pound or grappling!!! What are the rules for this?!?

But this wasn't Thai boxing rules, it was kick boxing, no? Hard to fight a long reach when you aren't allowed to clinch.
@@vaettra1589 Couldn't have been kickboxing, they were throwing elbows with no warning.
Lersila is a legend!
does this organisation have weight classes or not look at the size difference man
Seems unfair height and weight advantage
That's a huge advantage. Definitely shouldn't be allowed.
Even when you hit Lerdsila, he anticipated it so the blow is lessened.
I see some saying it is old age that lost this fight...that is not the case...Lerdsila needs to take conditioning seriously...many fighters his age do not give in to pressure fighters...it is that simple
U can tell elias is a really talended and promising fighter but I also think it's his high pressure which won him the fight
Good adjustment after getting read early on
Beautiful fighter, that Lerdsila. I think he can end the fight any time, but wants the people to get their money's worth.
The reach difference was insane!!
Got to live Thai fighters
Very very sportif..profesional...
man I think the ref is a bit too intrusive with the break ups, absolutely no clenching was allowed
Macha allah
I'm confused isn't body lock dumps allowed?
Maybe not full muay thai rule.
ONE rules might be different from muay thai
How are they the same weight though? Lerdsilla looks smaller
He had a height advantage....

TWO DIFFERENT WEIGHT CLASSES. THE WEIGHT AND HEIGHT DIFFERENCES ARE JUST TOO WIDE.
21 yrs old vs 38 O_O
Great display of skills but are they really the same weight class ? Foreign fighters always have the reach advantage on Thai fighters...
Maybe cause in general asian are shorter, what's your point ? You say the same thing every time someone has a reach and height advantage ? You silly thinking they would allow that..
Referee keeps breaking up at the moment fighters having a strike.
So this isn’t MMA?
his in the matrix =)
Hear me out…. Sean O Malley vs Elias Mahmoudi strictly Muay Thai

even the lerd is no match to age
How dense are his bones to where this is a close weight difference?
38 vs 21
When boxer huging referee should not fast to break fighting should let the both boxer fight before till fall down, because martial art is must be fight even outer fight and inner fight show skill from different fighting.
No way these guys are in the same weight class

Muay thai masterclass w/a ridiculous size difference.. get it together ONE! we know you wanna balance out the skillset but theres a limit.. then when the smaller guy dominates you rob him e.g. Superlek.. smh
Showing a Thai the bottom of your feet so early with a face teep is straight disrespectful.
