Rodtang just hammers everyone and shows a straight "come at me bro" face. When all is done he kneels down and bows to his opponent. His aura of Intimidation and respect at the same time is incredible.

What I love about Rodtang is the fact that no matter what pressure he’s enduring he always continues to walk towards his opponent to strike, true fighters spirit.

Haggerty was incredibly fast and accurate but I'm really surprised how Rodtang managed to block quite a lot of them. This is easily one of the best fights in ONE.

The storytelling in this fight was awesome. The way the fight makes both fighters call each other out for shots and more aggression. Also, Haggerty, the young British world champ and Rodtang, the tough as nails veteran looking for another run as champ. Awesome to watch. 🤘🔥

The speed with which Haggerty can kick and set up for a following kick is phenomenal . Rodtang is one seriously tough dude . Helluva fight and respect to both .

This was hands down the greatest fight I have seen in years and at the same time also the greatest display of respect and honor in the ring I have EVER seen.

God Damn these dudes strike AND block with unreal speed, at first glance I thought Haggerty landed a crazy fast left jab at 11:28 and it looked like Rodtang just ate it straight-faced but when I went back and watched it in 0.25x speed I could see Rodtang parry the punch. That was just one little moment but there are a lot of brief exchanges in this fight worth watching in slowmo, these guys are insanely fast

I've seen so many Muathai fights, but nothing like this. This brought tears to my eyes at the end. A true warrior! Never seen so much dedication, focus, determination, respect, and robustness in recent fights. Pure sportsmanship from both warriors, hands down. But for Thai's, Muaythai is a more than a spot; It's in their blood, and embedded in their DNA, a way of living, a religion. This is truly phenomenal! There is so much to take for an armature fighter!

I watched a karate fight yesterday that had 3milliom views and it was light contact touch tag for 6 minutes where 90% of the time they were just bouncing around. This is real fighting
yeah that's the purpose of wkf - a sport for olympics. i'm not a big fan of "karate combat" but watch it and see that karate can be not only light tagging
The real fighting happens in octagon, where restrictions are very limited. A striker will NEVER outperform a good grappler. NEVER
@@Symbrio that's not true though. There are phenomenal strikers who dominate in UFC with nothing more than a "decent" understanding of BJJ. Obviously they have to know a certain level. Just like if you were a master chef but someone challenged you to make a dish you'd never heard of, you'd have to have at least some understanding of it in order to compete. In any case we can all agree these guys are absolute machines at what they do. And if you disagree than I will bet my life that you've never set foot in a pro muay Thai fight
@@dannystalford5029 i have yet to see a proper MT clinch in UFC. It just won't happen. Throughout UFC (from the beginning) there are only 3 types of fighters who claimed the title: BJJ, Sambo/Judo and Wrestling. All are grappling arts.
@@Symbrio if that was true you'd never see a ko by striking. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the vast majority of early finishes in the UFC by striking not submission? Yes the MT clinch is for MT. But the MT clinch is an incredibly small part of muay Thai. There is a reason every UFC fighter, and I mean EVERY single one cross trains muay Thai. It is the best striking art by far

Why 2.1k thumbs down, this was one of the best fights I have ever seen, and both respecting each other.
The decision was iffy...Most scoring was done by Haggerty.
The decision wasn’t iffy at all. Rodtang was the aggressor and got at least as many points. Also he got knocked him down. A really good fight tho. Both legends

What a Fight, Rodtang was Born to do this, and Haggery being an Englishman but learning the sweet Science of Muy Thai is just awesome to watch, respect to both Men.

When I saw Haggerty tie a green cloth on his arm and waist, I realized that he was truly in the art of Muay Thai. That cloth Thai people call it "Prajiet" as a kind of amulet.
As good, if not better than any UFC fight I've ever seen. Haggerty is one of my favourite fighters to watch. His teeps are phenomenal and Rodtang is tough as nails. He's absolutely ferocious. Incredible fight. Would love to see the trilogy.

The beautifully perfect technique of Haggerty against the explosive power of Rodtang was just so pleasing to watch. This is what I'll show someone if I want to introduce them to the sport.

Rod Tang is relentless he smiles and keeps coming at you to unleash his fearsome body kicks, and he can take it as good as he dishes it out, but round one was just an incredible display of kickboxing by Haggerty, making full advantage of his size and reach, especially that devastating front push kick, wow, just wow...

this is so much of what make MT great. The friendship. Something about this level of violence builds real bonds. My MT gym mates have always been a brotherhood, we spent the most time together before and after training, and were all close. My BJJ training partners were good dudes too but there was always more ego there and more assholes, might just be my experience, but in a MT gym everyone is on level ground, and even guys I was far better then, like purple to white belt, I never thought that way, we are all just guys giving everything we have. A lot more vomit in a MT gym too haha. I still bow constantly as a sign of respect and thanks.. a lot of people find it super weird but its a reflex
