New Nissan Qashqai 2021 review | Britain's most important car? | Autocar
This is the all-new, all-singing, all-dancing* (* may not sing or dance) Nissan Qashqai.
It's the third-generation of Nissan's genre-defining crossover/SUV/estate/family car thingy, and it is arguably Britain's most important car, owing to it being designed, developed, and built here. It's also perennially one of the best-selling cars in the world, with more than three million sold since its 2006 introduction.
Join James Disdale as he tests the 1.3-litre mild hybrid petrol Qashqai, which makes 156bhp, enough to propel it from 0-62mph in 9.5 seconds, while it has a top speed of 128mph.
In this DiG-T Tekna+ form its price is £34,175 in the UK.

Sister has a 2017 Qashqai the first year it was available in Canada and has never had a warranty claim or recall, just regular maintenance and fantastic fuel economy, it is put together way better than a Nissan Rogue or Murano and had much less wind noise, better than most of the competitors
Waiting for Qashqai E-Power!
Very sleek looking.
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. Still the best Compact Family SUV
They are finally stepping up the game.Aweome look and tec for that price.
Nice colour
I am positively surprised! nice job..
Was it me or there was no reference to fuel consumption?
interesting design i like it
All new cars (2021 onwards) should be averaging more than 50mpg on mixed motoring. From an environmental viewpoint don’t consider any car that is less efficient than this. So, what is the average mpg of this Quashqai with mixed motoring???
Wow amazing SUV , I have to collections car enjoy watching
Price???????????
you would think they would make them at least 2L engines
Super comment👍 😀
1:07 not sure where you got that 1985kg weight from, pretty sure it weighs around 1400kg.
I'm confused. Why does it have the old Nissan logo and not the newer one?
a lot of them too, they were probably designed and/or started production before the change?
As a Qashqai owner, I actually don't like this new design. The Golf has gone the same way, whereby there's no soul left. No doubt it's a good car, but view it from certain angles it looks clumsy (compare the rear three quarter view with the previous model). I will keep my curvaceous 2021 QQ with its rising waistline and muscular hips, and give this slab sided appliance a miss. Sorry!
Front wings look ugly, what were they thinking
Where’s the electric version? It’s 2021!
Nissan and most important in the same line?! click bait
Dull review.
Hideous front.
Not the proper engine for this car
I like it but the engines suck! Needs more power
Then you need to change your name as Mr Jeremy Clarkson.
@@UD747RED ha yes! My name is james and I’m born in may, hence the name but after realised the link to THE james May
It is dull though....
Might be a decent enough car … shame about the stupid name! Won’t be on my shopping list. I’ll buy second hand.
Because u can’t afford new one !😂
@@ANGELUS5548 yeah right! 😊
I'd really miss the great 1.5 dci diesel, which is 'genuinely' economical & torquey. Front of this, is an ugly chromefest mess. New cars are losing the design purity of previous models. You guys always test the expensive 'posh' models, which is suspicious.
Really dissapointing. Does nothing great. Poor powertrains, bad ride quality, and mediocre interior. This is more a refresh than anything else. I would go elsewhere
