  • Thanks so much for taking the time to sit down and let me prattle on about my life! An absolute pleasure to just have an open and honest conversation with one of the pioneers of creating content on the internet. And remind me to slip you a fresh, crisp ten dollar bill for the title of this video.

    • Both in a sense can work together. Yes existing is exhausting by the stuff you do or can and want to achieve. But at the end of the day you don’t achieve what you want there’s no need to beat yourself up over it because there’s always the next day to keep trying, being there and having the same feeling of wanting to achieve it. It’s all about you want to go through life and your perception ig is what I’m trying to say. Sorry if I thought too deeply 😀👍🏼

    • I think what strikes people (me included) about Mark is the lack of false humility. Like, the guy clearly knows that he’s made some cool stuff, and he’s allowed himself to be rightfully proud of it. I see so many creators do the whole “I would be nothing without you guys” and almost encouraging the weird parasocial relationships creators and fans can have. That’s not something I see Mark doing as much, and it really shows that he likes the famous position he has without letting it change him as a fundamental person.

And we're suing the medical center for malpractice and using unconventional methods that only worsened her mental and physical health. We had a nice funeral. I never noticed how much time I spent with my sister until she ended up dying. So I'm very thankful that I was able to spend 90% of my time with her. and she lit up my world. She made me feel better when I was down, and going forward, I would have to accept the fact that I'll never experience that from anyone else ever again.

    • I started watching his videos in middle school when I was being heavily bullied for being different from everyone else. He helped me realize that it's okay to be me despite what others say he helped me laugh when I didn't want to and smile mark was a comfort to me a place I could go to get away from all the darkness in the world for a bit he really is a bright light in this world. We truly don't deserve him but I'm glad we have him. ♥️

    • That is so true! Mark holds so much kindness and goodness in a lot of little things and he fully embodies it. His creations, life wisdom and everything truly derive from his kindness. It's such a cliche thing to say but I think Mark really has inspired me and so many other people to be a kinder person. It doesn't have to be something big like charity donations, but a person's goodness just shines through every tiny human interactions or the way they act and speak in daily life.

I've been carrying the guilt of "What if I didnt spend enough time with him?" and its videos like these that really help those who watch them. Thank you Anthony, and thank you mark.

  • It's sad to think Mark doesn't feel like he can ever have that connection with fans like he had in the beginning. Especially since he does connect with his audience in such a meaningful way. He doesn't need to be the greatest ever because he's a really great guy and I think it's something most people don't value enough. Learning to love yourself, as Whitney Houston sang, is the greatest love of all. You keep on doing you.

  • Mark talking about how pain puts things into perspective is so true. I've been through a lot of emotional, mental and physical pain; so when I hear someone complain about stuff, a lot of the time it just seems so mundane. I don't mean that in a way to invalidate their pain; it's just that when I think about what I've been through and what others have been through, it becomes minor in comparison. I used to think my period cramps were the most painful thing ever; then I got a birth control inserted into my uterus, vomited and almost passed out from the pain. Now, every other pain I feel isn't so bad. I thought finding out my ex cheated on me was the most painful thing ever; then my dad died. Now, I don't think anything will ever be as painful as that. Or at least outside of other people in my life dying.

He’s read comments and talked to fans at cons though, so he knows how much his fans love him and how much of an impact he has and can have on them. Just look at his ‘Watch This Video When You’re Feeling Down’, he could’ve kept that feeling and idea to himself but he pulled out a camera and spoke his mind, now that video means so much to so many people, and a lot return to it to feel comfort and love from a man who does genuinely care about his fans and the impact he has on them. He may create a lot for himself but he will always be such a loving selfless dude. Good luck on your career steering, I know Mark would be cheering you on if he could.

  • Unus Annus changed a big part of my life. Like when it died my understanding of living legitimately changed for the better: - I put all my effort into going to school - I accepted myself and my adhd cause before the escape room video and knowing Ethan I didn’t know how adhd affected me. I just knew it was a diagnosis I had. - I started coming out of my ptsd-depression - I started investing in things I loved instead of waiting - I got to know what it was like to feel included I a group of likeminded people - I allowed my to be less afraid of making a complete klutz of myself and just stuff because I wanted to. For a lot of people they have a light, for me they legit helped me through the worst year of my life as I ran away from my father in 2020. Like their death made me start living my life.
