  • Steelseries makes nice mice, however I've always had issues with the buttons (switches) failing after few months.

  • Been a user of this mouse for almost 2 years. Bought it cuz of the identical steelseries rival 100 shape. Now looking for a new mouse due to some major cons. *Batteries now last like a week (without any lightning ON) *I play csgo at a high level (faceit lvl 10 2750 elo) just to say i'm some what competitive and been noticing some inconsistencies while tracking and a weird light input lag. *Stock mouse skates are bad, using some aftermarkets ones for over a year. *Coating is slippery so had to buy some grip tapes as well *And now the major problem for me being the mouse clicks especially recently that makes switching beetwen tapping, bursting and spraying hard in fps games in general because there is times it double clicks or burst for no reason. For PROS at the moment just would say the shape and the software. And jf i would recommend this mouse in 2023? Definitely NO not even for 30 bucks since with 5/10 more you can buy a way superior mice nowadays. Not saying it is impossible to game on it, it is completly playable, but there are just better options.

  • Any thoughts on the purple light flashing issues where it just decides to disconnect, and won't connect back?

    @east_photoz@east_photoz Жыл бұрын
    • Huh, I was not aware of that issue. Thanks for pointing that out! From what I'm reading you can trigger it by holding the left-click, right-click, and middle mouse buttons. I guess this is something like a factory reset function? I just tested it out and I was able to get the purple lights, but after turning it off and back on it reconnected easily. I'll have to test this out more...

    • @@BitGoblin I restarted my computer and like a lot of other people theres a point where it just stops connecting. I love the mouse fir a lot of reasons, but from where I got it from there seems to be no fix I can find. If you find anything definitely let me know!! For the 6 months it was amazing.

    • Maybe I just don't have it bad yet, but I'll keep an eye on it and see if it ever gets to that point. I'll definitely let you know if I find any fixes though!

  • mouse itself is alright but there's no Bluetooth receiver with it only 2.4 wifi receiver and if you dont want to use 2.4ghz but Bluetooth instead to save battery then you need to buy asus bt500 and then you need to pair it to rival 3 thing is that this setup wont work in bios and when windows boots you need to wait few secs before they pair together. tried this mouse 2.4 ghz works but no Bluetooth support not going to buy again steel series.

    • Huh, interesting. You'd expect a wired mouse to do better!

    • Honestly, I kinda like this fact of the mouse. This makes it really easy to swap out bad batteries, and if you want rechargeable ones you can get some pretty decent ones online. But it seems like most people don't go that route ns just stick to dirt cheap disposable batteries. There's some give and take on this issue :P

  • worst mouse ive ever puchased, when i got it, it was very jittery, had horrible tracking, turned off when it wanted and sometimes it didnt even turn on. and when i bumped it against my keyboard it would stop functioning temporarily. now it wont turn on or do anything

    • Yikes, that is pretty terrible, I seem to have gotten lucky with my unit since it hasn't given me much trouble yet 😬

      @BitGoblin@BitGoblin Жыл бұрын
    • @@BitGoblin yea i think i got a faulty unit

      @Indisputed@Indisputed Жыл бұрын
    • Possibly. Or I got a lucky unit 😉 I've seen several stories online about this mouse just going completely unresponsive at times. So it's either been fixed in firmware or I just haven't run into the issues yet... Only time will tell!

    • @@BitGoblin yea i tried updating the firmware and it did nothing, so earlier i threw it against the floor 5 times and tossed it in the trash, lol.

    • Turning off after bumping into the keyboard actually happened to me atleast twice and while playing a CSGO Lan haha. It is for sure a major mouse problem

  • Thumbs up for your vid, but don't waste time and money on this mouse. Its for people who have nothing better to do. Frustrating connection, the mouse gets into a coma after being idle.

    • Yeah, it's definitely not the best mouse haha. It's fine for my WFH setup, but I wouldn't try to game on it, especially since there are others like the G305 wireless in the same price range.

      @BitGoblin@BitGoblin Жыл бұрын
  • Steelseries mice are as terrible as Razor mice, but for thrice or quadruple the price. "we got this nice glow on the mouse wheel" yeah dude thats awesome, personally i sit here staring at the fancy lights that i am paying extra money for in terms of power consumption. AWESOME. i have tried... for YEARS to get a mouse that just bloody works and doesn't break within 2-3 years after being put to use. i never had these sorts of problems when i used the old-school ball-mice on windows 98 because those suckers were meant to last unlike modern mice that are deliberately designed to break so you go and buy a new one. sorry but the fact you're shilling this product means you get a dislike. review or not, you didn't point out the serious negatives at all. the fact you review this mouse before you barely get to use it is a massive blunder. use it for 5 years, and if it still works the way it did when you bought it; THEN you make a review speaking positively about it, but until then you really, just simply, do not know whether this is a good product or not.
