As a P2 owner I think the points that you make are completely in line with my experiences and perspectives. I don't take long drives so I don't have the range issue that you describe but I can see how in the cold weather it might cause some frustration. This video was fun to watch for me as it was "Yeah, that's right" followed by "Yeah, that's right." 😃
Owned and drove a P2 dual motor with pilot and plus pack for a year and 25 thousand km. Mostly agree with the comments in the video. I really enjoyed the car, design, quality feel, reliability, great pixel lights, best user interface etc. No range anxiety but to be honest the consumption is much higher compared to Tesla M3. Other negatives: pilot assist on mine was unreliable and dangerous (again much behind the feel of Tesla’s autopilot), back seat not comfortable for adults, seat material does not breath, auto backing break very annoing and cannot be switched off permanently, 360 degree camera does not show you much and unable to default to standard reversing camera, sound insulation is poor, chassis is very hard, remote app unreliable. Despite the negatives, I think this was the best car I have owned (have had Volvos and Audis mainly), and I would get another one but the price is no longer competitive against Tesla M3 following Tesla dropping 10k from price vs. Polestar adding 5k. With comparable spec you end up with 20k price difference at my region. I do hate Tesla’s looks though, so am currently undecided on what to choose next.

I recently had the pleasure of driving the Polestar 2 for two weeks as a rental on holiday. It was a single-motor, long-range version. In summary, this is the best car I've ever driven. The bad points are, the key is made of kinder egg plastic quality material in a square shape with rough buttons. It makes a terrible presentation of an otherwise "luxury car". The central door-locking mechanism sounds so metallic and rough that it does not suit the car's status. The locks sound like Renault Clio MK2/3. The internal cabin materials are not up to the standard of BMW or Audi. Even the Volkswagen Gold GTI has a better-quality cabin than this. It's not bad, but it could be improved. There are some very cheap plastic bits in what feels like a quality cabin. The central armrest is too short/too far in the back to comfortably rest your hand. I'm 187cm/6′ 2″ and could barely rest my elbow on it. The home charging didn't work. It was constantly coming up with an error wherever I plugged it in. I read on forums that it's a blown fuse somewhere in the car. The cable light was turning on when plugged in, but the car always showed an error upon plugging the cable into the charging connector on the car. That's it. Everything else was superb, and I genuinely mean SUPERB! This is the best car I've ever driven (as I said already). It was so good that I would be more than happy with the single-motor long-range version for my daily driving. The fast charging worked perfectly. Managed to top up the car on most occasions within 30 minutes. It might sound long compared to 5 minutes at a petrol station, but once I tried driving an electric car, specifically Polestar 2, I'm converted. I don't mind spending 25 min extra to charge. It's reasonably fast that it doesn't feel annoying or painful. In exchange, you get the next generation of a car compared to a car with a combustion engine. It's such a difference in acceleration, speed delivery, traction, braking, and handling, just everything is the next level. Driving my BWM X3 with 2.0d and 245hp suddenly feels like steam powered truck that needs coal chugged in every few hundred miles to keep it going. I'm in no way comparing a family SUV with a small fast sedan, but the technological jump in the drivetrain is massive. It's as if you were using Nokia 3310 for 10 years and then you bought iPhone. It's mind-blowingly good and better at everything when it has a charge and you can access a fast charger. If you need to drive long distances without access to a fast charger, forget about it. You will wait for a day to top it up. Suddenly you'll feel like the caveman who needs to decide whether you keep the AC on while charging or not because you get 13km/ph top-up vs. 18km/ph top-up on a slow 14kW charger. It's impossible to do anything. But find a 75kW or 150kW charger, and you don't have to worry about range anxiety. As you can see, there are downsides to owning an electric car, as everyone knows, but if you can get a home charger, you don't drive more than 300 miles a day, and you have access to fast chargers on longer journeys, you should take the leap and get Polestar 2. It will blow your mind how good it is. Suddenly all the concerns from owning an electric car will go away because it's so much better than your old petrol or diesel car. On the last note, we've had 4 adults in the car with 70% charge, and we were able to keep up with BMW M3 E92. It's mind-boggling how a "normal" sedan can keep up with a performance car from a few years ago.
After 2 years and 40‘000 km (18 kWh/100km average consumption = 415 km average range) I can only agree with Misha‘s review, although for me the negative aspects don’t bother me at all. Biggest pluses for me: - great overall package: fun, sporty, safe, still good for family (my wife and daughters are not tall, they appreciate the high seating in the back) - adaptive front lights - hatchback for loading of bikes and other larger stuff - comfy seats (I‘m also 1.83) Negatives: - at night the backlights are very weak for the 360 view (workaround: tip on the brakes with your left foot to activate the brake lights) - could be a bit less noisy above 100km/h - cameras can‘t be used as dash cams

@@galdimdani9691The 30‘000 km service was good, no irregularities (all battery cells in good health). Currently 46‘000 km, no indication of loss of capacity/range. But I have no detailed analysis.

I accidentally received a Polestar from Hertz when I initially wanted a Tesla Model 3. I tried calling around to switch it, finally gave Polestar 2 a try and I extended my rental for a week and a half lol. Polestar 2 is nothing on the roads and its so comfortable, easy to drive, and fast! Im hoping to save up to buy a Polestar 2 in California.
You can find these used in California for sub 35k currently now fwiw. Amazing deal.
So here's my not so quick Pro/Con experience after renting a 2023 Polestar 2 (Single Motor) from Hertz (Houston -IAH) over 3-days and about 100mi. as a 5-Year Tesla Model 3 owner. I was immediately impressed by the build quality (no rattles or squeaks), trim materials, low road noise and handling/body control. I enjoyed the design elements and looks, just wish it sat a bit lower from the side profile view. The onboard Google maps and dual displays were nice and I found no reason to use the available CarPlay option I would normally use in all my rentals. Biggest Cons IMO were #1 the awkward high center console that I bashed my knee on the very first time I sat in the vehicle and several times since as a taller 6' 2" driver. Con #2 would be the lower range vs. Tesla, although to be fair, the PS2 is more accurate and realistic with its range. I often lose a few % parked or drop 2-3% at the start of a trip in my Tesla which I was not seeing in the PS2. Con #3 for me would be the poor rear visibility vs. a Model 3...nothing more than a tiny little pocket between the rear headrests. Forward visibility was fine, but again much better in the Tesla where the dash is lower and the window is much larger. Power delivery was smooth and surprisingly sufficient given this was only the single-motor version...0-60s is slow compared to Tesla Model 3's, but at speed on the road it's more than adequate and feels better than the numbers on paper IMO. Again compared to a Model 3 It's a bit tighter interior-wise, especially in the second row. Unique features that stood out to me were the frameless side mirrors, weird turn signal tone and neutral position shifter that I wasn't all that use to coming from a stalk based system. Overall I would recommend and/or rent one again and I'm interested to see where the new refreshed design will take this model line. Tesla overall has the Tech, Performance and Charging Infrastructure advantage, but if build quality and mostly local driving (with home charging ability) are more your ownership style I think plenty would be more than happy with the Polestar 2. Solid B/B+ EV in my book!
Thank you for the fair assessment. My wife prefers the Model 3 but I can't help it, it leaves me cold while I'm absolutely in love with the PS2. So, I understand that rationally there are big plus points for the Tesla, but the emotional factor is more important to me. I want to get this "that's my car" feeling instead of trying to convince myself each time by remembering the better performance/range.

After 66 000km I still love mine. I totally agree with you when it comes to information on the screens! I also want to know and have the information about the trip available on the dash. I have another small thing as well, when reversing I would like to hqve split screen with the 360-view plus the rear camera. Also nit-picking but I have seen that in other cars and it made me want it. :)
The range and charging is why i bought a Model 3 instead of a Polestar 2. I preferred the Polestar to drive though.
The new 2023 refresh that just came out is a lot better though! Quite a bit longer range and faster charging!

Nice video, thanks. I have a 2023 LRDM, for 5 months and 3,000 miles now. Most of what you say makes sense, for the cupholder situation we don't bother with the 2nd one under the armrest. We bought one of those 3D printed ones, which we keep in the glovebox unless it's being used. That works really well. Oh - I also have a 992 and yes, the cupholder situation there is pretty silly and mine is a manual so especially so.
This slide-out drift was amazing. Instant torque is the key.

I love my P2. When I bought it, the salesperson told me not to slam the bonnet but let it come down gently as far as it can and then press on both sides. The manual states the same. I have noticed that the charging cap can be nicely placed near the port(outside the rubber seal) at its longer side.👍👍
I absolutely love my car. Dual motor with plus pack. I agree with just about everything you said but for me the range limitation is not that much of an issue. Living in Australia it is rare that the batteries need to be heated for optimal performance. I have been on round trips of near enough 400km's without needing to recharge and have been lucky enough to not have had to charge on a trip ... yet. (I do have an Alfa Romeo Giulia for when I want to travel further 🙂🙂 which is a fantastic car as well)
Heating won't be an issue for you, cooling will. Those batteries are not a fan of cold but neither are they a fan of heat. If it doesn't impact range than it will certainly impact degradation.
P2 owner here in Australia coming up on 12 months owner, our temperature makes the range issues you described far less of an issue, I've only experienced that once, during a 500KM round trip drive in rain / cold and uphill. Totally agree with some frustration in the minimalism of the driver console, I'd love 3 or 4 options rather than the 2 that are currently provided. Google integration is a huge plus, I love being able to, via my car, turn on my porch lights as I drive in if I need to. With a full google home setup, hue lights etc you can really do a lot... I've seen people show pre-warming their ovens on their drives home. I have a P2 LRDM (Long range Dual Motor) with the performance software upgrade (but not the fancy Brembo brakes) and would probably stay with the dual motor, the high end pickup at Australian road speeds for overtaking that the performance pack adds is 100% worth it for me. and with the warmer climate, I can still get acceptable range. It's still new-ish here in Au, but I will agree, the head turn still makes me smile as people try and work out what it is, on the road it really stands out as a super nice looking modern car, without screaming I'm an EV.

My 2020 Polestar 2 is the best car I’ve owned - it’s powerful, smooth, quiet, love the Google infotainment, has a high spec & tech and it looks great ⚡️👍🏻 If Polestar can’t get my pre-ordered Polestar 3 delivered by this November I’ll get another P2 to fill the gap. I agree with your negatives. I got a 3D printed cup holder which secures in the top of the glove box - works great!
Not sure whether you will see this since the comment is from 6 months ago 😅 I am about to buy a 23’ Polestar 2 & one of my main cons when considering the car is the wacky cup holder situation, especially when both my fiancé & I are in the car. Where did you get the 3D cup holder thing you’re referring to?? Would love to check it out 😁
Great review. Only had my car for one day, and my biggest frustration is lack of level 3 chargers in my area. The few we do have are very expensive as well.

I have a Dual Motor non-performance version, and what I really miss is an original lowering kit as the stance of the car is a bit too high. I've looked at Heico, but not sure I want to modify the car with 3rd party suppliers when it's purely for aesthetics. Other than that I really like my car, and can't really see myself in anything else on the market currently (within my price range).
Very fair review, and thank you, I've had mine for two years and never realised it had heated mirrors! In your review you don't seem to use the home button, which gives the four segments and has the arrival time on it - but I agree the arrival charge level would be much better. And the absolute worst failing for me, no-one mentions, but the reversing lights are utterly cack. Try to reverse at night in the dark and you will have a fit! Try it on a narrow road in the rain and you just have to wait till you hit something! Obviously not something Thomas ever tried.
Agree with the backlights: workaround: tip on the brake with your left foot simultaneously (or use rear fog light) 😉
I've got the 300kW Long-Range Version for the past 6 months and can definitely agree on most topics. The suspension and acceleration are phenomenal for a car this heavy. The stability control gives you good wiggle room to have fun. Unfortunately, I'm often driving 500-600km trips and it's sooooo annoying to either go slow or charge every two hours. The charging speed could be higher too. Overall, I'm happy to go back to a Hybrid (C300e T) and will miss the good qualities of the P2.
hybrids are the cleanest options today... sadly most wish to go to either extreme battery or extreme ice, not combine them.

I had mine P2 for almost a year now, i totally agree with you and i also like the car, but i would also add that the left side front window gets very dirty when driving on salty roads, The dirt you wipe away from the windscreen ends up on the drivers side window instead.
First time I hear about separate mirror heating, all cars i have seen with heated mirrors had one control for back window and mirror heating.
Here in Norway this car really rocks.The 4x4 system is amazing and 7000watt heater is nice in the cold.Range isnt a problem at all.There are so dense with chargers.Tesla SC is open for all CCS cars,so no issues.On long trips i usually drive just 2 1/2-3 hrs before i need a rest.Then i charge..perfect.
I wouldn't go NEAR an EV in any cold climate.

@@richardharrold9736 I live in northern Sweden, EVs are the PERFECT winter car, I love how they heat up instantly, you get warm air out within 5 seconds of starting the car, you never have to worry about a dead 12v battery and the car not starting, car always starts instantly. Compared to my old ICE car and all the stuff I had to put up with it in the winter this is such a wonderful experience, everything works so seamlessly and well.
@@richardharrold9736 You lose like 10-15% with Teslas, it depends entirely on the car, my 10 year old Renault Zoe loses 30-35% range but that's because it wasn't made to handle nordic winter conditions and uses older lithium battery technology. The newer EVs handle it much better, and the best ones barely lose much range at all.
Hi I'm a PS2 driver too. 2021 LR Dual motor. And I agree to all you stated in this video. I only have a couple of extra issues. The profiles used when you have multiple drivers often has a hard time switching and often do not remember to move the drivers seed on the first try. And Polestar also has been doing a bad job with the DAB radio support. But it seems they finally in sw v2.5 got it to work.
Nice snow, in Montreal Quebec we had a great december and January, had no choice but to do snow drifting. Wooohoooo
As a Polestar 2 owner I would say this review is pretty spot on. I've got the standard range single motor, could do with a bit more range. The 24 model does have the extra range. I want more power and 4x4 now too though. I have to say I do love the Polestar. I've done nearly 10k miles in 8 months and no reliability issues. A few infotainment resets and other niggles but generally trouble free motoring.
Thank you for this good review, yes, the Polestar is really a nice car. A few more noteworthy negatives: the lack of visibility of the rear window, also impossible to remove or knock down the rear headrests to improve visibility; the backup camera is too low (near the license plate) and rapidly gets covered in mud, especially during winter, rendering it useless; iPhone users need to physically connect their phones to enjoy Apple Car play.
Mirrors + Back Glass heating on one button is normal for many vehicles. Also it usually shitch off automaticly after some time. Polestar is completely in trend regarding mirrors heating.
I never had a car that worked any other way. The rear defrost button heats up the mirrors and turns off automatically after a while.
Great review, and I also still love my p2 that I have since december 21. One tip regarding the video: please mute the ‘he google’, since it triggers my own google home speakers 🤪
I have one and love it. Simple and effective and classless in the best sense. Its not an ego car. Agree with your points ; has also an accident with it and its a very safe car. The instant torque is some thing that you will not find in any Ice car. My verdict after many many cars. One of the best Electric cars outhere.
P2 is a great car. I’ve had absolutely no issues…after 1 year. Have appreciated the built in tow hit, the Euro-styling of both the exterior and interior…and the added power bump to 470 HP. 😊 Obviously, not my real name.
THANK YOU for being the only reviewer that has provided real-world, cold weather range for higher speeds!!! I don't understand why other reviewers tend to hide the negatives. As someone who lives in Canada and drives over 200km consistently, this is a deal breaker for me. I was so close to getting a 2022 PS2 - you just saved me a lot of headaches.
Get the new Polestar 2 facelift. The new long range has bigger battery , 635 km range
@@quavohuncho6156 That range is for the single motor version, I think, and WLTP. WLTP is never accurate, especially in cold weather. I doubt the new version will get more than 10-15% more range at best.
@@Astromuppet Idk if you are still following this comment, but I managed to do 290km at highway speeds (115km/h or 70mph) using around 80% of battery. The battery was preheated, but outside temps were -5 degrees celsius. This was in a standard range single motor. I think you can definitely get enough out of the single motor versions

@@Astromuppet MY24 version has 22% increase over the old version. More torque, better lights and faster charging. It has a longer range than the Model 3 by a rasonable margin now.
MOON, the best P2 color. I was told by a Polestar rep that the doorhandles are big and chunky so they would be easy to operate with thick winter mittens.

I have PS2 2021 300kw (pilot,plus) and i have driven about 25000km. +performance and 4wheel drive(winter in Finland is ❄️) + drivability +pixelplus lights are great +front seats -rear gets dirty easily -radio and some multimedia functions are at times out of operation -consumption (about 25,5 average 🫣) -autopilot doesn’t work at all on winter
My P2 is a year old and I enjoyed it every time I drive it. It is very smooth and the quality is just superior to other EV i’ve owned.
Hey Misha, also die Geschichte mit den beheizbaren Rückspiegeln ist wohl etwas sehr persönliches, was auch deine Autos vorher angeht: Bei jedem Auto, dass ich bisher fuhr und fahre, war es ganz genau so: Heckscheibenheizung schaltet auch die Spiegelheizung an. Ich hätte wohl die Bedienungsanleitung lesen müssen, wenn es hier nicht so wäre. 😀 Ansonsten: Ich fahre häufiger mal einen PS2 LongeRange: Tolles Auto, aber ja, es hat ein paar Drawbacks: Die Steuerung via App ist so eine Geschichte. Und dass man eben nur AN und AUS schalten kann. So wie ich das verstanden habe, heizt die Klima aber nicht auf 22°C sondern auf die Temperatur, die du im Auto eingestellt hast. Aber da mag ich mich auch irren. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist auch der hochkant eingebaute Screen. Beim Fahren perfekt, aber wenn du an einer Ladesäule stehst und mal ein Video schauen willst...Naja, da ist das Quer-Bild dann schon relativ klein. Quasi das "Handyfilmen" nur eben andersrum. Aber gut, das ist nichts wirklich gravierendes. Und der Fehler in der Anleitung bzgl der Heckklappeneinstellung hat mich etwas Zeit gekostet. :D Dort steht man löscht eine gespeicherte Position mit mittels des Positions-Knopfes. Stimmt aber nicht. Der Knopf speichert wirklich nur. Wenn man also eine gespeicherte Position löschen will und wieder "full-open" will, muss man (kein Scherz, in den VolvoAnleitungen steht es korrekt) die Klappe händisch(!) langsam nach oben drücken und dort dann die Position neu abspeichern. Ist nicht schlimm, aber muss man wissen. Ich hab die Klappe jedenfalls unzählige Male auf und zu gemacht, beim Versuch, das irgendwie hinzubekommen, wie es in der Anleitung steht.
Really like these cars. Would love to own a long range single motor one in the future. Would also like to see some exterior spoiler kits available for these things to make them extra aggressive. And to be honest I liked the caveman joke. 😅

I liked the part about the mirrorheating. My volvo v70 from 2002 have it also that way. If you got some water on the mirrors the heating shuts of in about 15 minutes and you need to tap the button again to get the heating on again.
It also works this way on my 97 A4 😂
😆 Mirror Heating is not for water but for ice, snow and frost.

Same for my Volvo V50. Never bothered me. I actually find it useful that it turns itself off. I rarely need to turn it back on again and would just forget to turn it off manually.
The defrost option for the mirror works the same on Peugeot-Citroën cars. German cars indeed have the option the mirror switch
I went for a test drive with it and 3 major things stuck with me and sent me away from it: 1st and the most annoying is the central console lower part is V shaped and the top part is A shaped. Where this 2 meet they rub against my knee and it gets annoying really fast. 2nd is the small windows. 3rd is the high consumption. The rest of the car was decent and it drove fine, while a bit noisy, especially the suspension. One other thing is the high recuperation even on the lowest level. Also the traffic sigh recognition is worst than my 2016 Volvo V60 🙂
i have a 2023 facelift / new P2 LRSM, i LOVE that they increased from 230 hp to 300 hp and from FWD to RWD. Also it has 650 km range

One thing that drives me absolutely nuts about the Polestar 2 is the cup holders and the center console. The cup holders should have been placed further forward and side by side instead of in a row. Also the center console is so massive that it causes my legs to start aching after a long drive. I drove down to Nürburgring last summer from Norway and I was crippled when we finally arrived at the hotel. Another small gripe I have with the car is the main screen. When you're stopped at a charger and watching KZhead or any other video content it would have been so much better if the screen was tilted horizontally rather than vertically. Other than these things the car is hands down the best car I've had. I have the leather seats and they do help a lot when it comes to longer drives as they are by far more comfortable than the cloth ones.
I wish the p2 was slightly more affordable, I however am highly leaning towards it. I am excited for the 200w charging on the newest model year (Infrastructure supporting that is a whole other discussion). My question is pot holes, on stock wheels and what's the smallest wheel that'll fit it (Canada roads see lot of abuse)

"Information distribution" - agree 100%! No radio/Spotify information available at all in the driver display, and nothing on the centre display either when in map mode. Polestar say that this tallies with their minimalist design philosophy, but in my view it goes *against* the safety aspect of the brand, as I end up pushing buttons on the centre screen to find out what's going on.
It looks a really good package and one of a few EVs that are not SUV! But as you mentioned, the daily annoyances would be a big let down for me, too. Especially the simplification and very few physical buttons for AC and media control.
I have a P2, and i despise touch-controls for climate. But i have to give credits to polestar as they are always accessible, and they don't misinterpret your inputs aswell. :D

About the price of charing the car, if you frequently use fast chargers you can get monthly subscriptions which lower the price of fast chargers by a lot. For example here in Italy you can buy 145kWh for 45€ which is around 0,31€ per kWh. That's makes traveling with an EV very cheap. Now I'm not telling you how you should drive your car, but if you embrace the limitations of modern EV technology, you could go the same distance a lot faster by lowering your top speed by just 10 km/h (I bet it's hard to do on an unrestricted section of the autobahn though). This is especially true for longer road trips with multiple charging stops. The google infotainment inside the car is great, but if you are a curious guy, I recommend using something like ABRP to plan your trips and minimize the time spent charging.
Exactly. I got a Plugsurfing card with my Polestar 2 which means charging only costs 0.30€ per kWh.
19:17 this is exactly the same in the Volvos and can become annoying on long trips. Other than that like you said the system is perfect
Regarding heating side mirrors: it's a Volvo thing. I drive Volvos since 2001 and last winter had to drive Q7 for a while. I thought mirrors heating not working and had to call the owner :)
I have to say the Öhlins and the handling team nailed the suspension, it’s the best factory suspension in a nine hyper car there is. Really miss it. Great review I miss my polestar, wish I had never sold it. Volvo and polestar really nail all the basics. Headlights are the best, winter pack is mega, seats perfect, etc quality is also very very high Can you fit a towbar and roof rack? Cup holders are a bit crap. Sadly the car is beholden to the crappy charging network. Why not just get a dual motor none performance, wish they would then allow the Öhlins though Big question, would you buy one with your own cash?
To answer your question in a very honest way: I would not buy ANY EV in my current situation - lack of decent charging, unless I buy a house and install a good charging point. Erratic use case scenarios, most of the car(s) I drive on the track, long distance travel is a pain and for daily use the car is perfect, but then we come back to the charging issues. HOWEVER, if I would HAVE to buy an EV, be it because I'd live in a city, or let's say I am employed and can pick out a company car, then Polestar is 140% the brand I'd go for. To give a little teaser/comparison on top: I recently bought a brand new sportscar (to be announced with the start of the season) and I find the overall handling capabilities of the Polestar better (weight distribution etc) plus I miss the convenience of the Polestar such as not having to warm up the engine on start up, pre-heating etc and surprisingly enough the quiet travel.

Een hele mooie auto, het achterin zitten heb ik kunnen ervaren bij de EV Experience op Zandvoort afgelopen jaar, dat is iets mis gegaan, ik zat daar met mijn 1.75 ook niet lekker, hoofd tegen de dakrand. Hoop de Polestar 2 ooit wat langer te mogen ervaren.
It's interesting that the updated Polestar 2 single motor will be RWD! Definitely makes the single motor more appealing.

Nice review Misha, There are other things that irritate me though. I hate the mid console. I'm also 1,83m long and my knee is stuk between the console and steering wheel or pressed against it. Also there is barely room for your sunglasses in the car. The rear view is bad. The annoying tripmeter. Software failures where the sound seems absent and you need to reboot. The wind noice due to the airodynamics of the car, it makes a lot of noice above say 100 km/h. Etc..
This week, I saw for the first time a Polestar coupe. Absolutely gorgeous car! Had no clue what it was, so Googled new ev coupe and found an image. Didn't know the Polestar brand existed. I saw a P2 today, and again, they look incredible in person. Definitely a car/company worth looking into. Thanks for a great, honest review.

i want to save up for a polestar but the points abt range and winter makes me a bit scared of getting the 2023 model vs waiting for 2024 model that have more range. i need to save up a bit more either way to be able to afford a PS2 so i think it might be of value to wait for the facelift model also really curious how expensive it is to replace the dampers on the performance model. or if u just replace the spring (Please dont flay me alive i am not super smart abt cars) not sure if its same for other country's but in norway ur suppose to replace both on the same side so if ur left rear is broken or need replacement ur left right needs replacing.
As an owner I think you are spot on. Cup holders terrible. Range acceptable if long trips rare and home charger. Google automotive, looks, performance, lights, comfort, safety all have excellent. Storage acceptable. Charging acceptable. The wait for a new one is ridiculous! Overall, best car I’ve ever had and I absolutely love it. Every trip feels special and a privilege.
Misha the frunk not closing properly on the left side just means that It's not adjusted correctly at factory. You can get it adjusted either by yourself or if you bring it to a service center to get it fixed.
I had exactly the same issue, I thought someone damaged it. As it was a rental from Europcar.

I had more cars with mirror heating integrated into rear window defrost button than having dedicated button for it. Kinda crazy to me that you found it strange.
As you get older, being confined in a car, any car, for more than about 3 hours, is long enough. I’ve made several long trips in my P2, and after 3 hours, or about 200+ miles, I’m ready to get out and stretch my legs, go to the bathroom and get some coffee/snack….perfect timing to also re-charge. It’s really not big deal. Oh, and for most of the year, where I live, with milder temperatures, my range on a full charge is between 250-275miles. But with my youth behind me, not interested in driving 4 hours, non-stop.
The thing is its better for everyone not only older ppl, there are a lot of accidents happening because of drivers that are tired but still keep on driving just so they arrive faster. With the PS2 i could technically drive for even longer then with my BMW without getting exhausted (if it had that range) but i still wouldnt.
Instead of the snack you should do 100 push-ups and drink some water. Snack is for fatties!

52000km here, and I agree with most of what you've said. Would like to add that I really dislike the sensitivity of the safety features, especially the emergency brakes. Making a u-turn in a busy street is an absolute hell, overgrown weeds are apparantly dangerous, so are slight slopes, .. This gave me more heart attacks than it saved me from accidents, and it's as if your mother-in-law is sitting next to you and telling you constantly you're a rubbish driver for no reason whatsoever.😖And I also dislike the same error messages that keep popping up every minute or so when the sensors are compromised in winter circumstances. But apart from that, the absolute best car I have ever driven! 🤗
Yep, had the weed issue & the pilot assist has tried to kill me on a couple of occasions when the lines disappear passing a junction, but still love the car.

Most everything is on point. After owning a model for 8 months, my biggest complaints are how dirty the rear camera gets in the winter - it's unusable with all the gunk - and the cameras can't be used as dashcams.
I'll never understand why many car producers don't add that function if the cameras are there anyway. Should be trivially easy and would be a real benefit.
Family of four. No problem with space for holidays. It is a big, comfy car. Interesting that it's the smallest in the Polestar range.

Would buy if it had slightly better range, 0-100, horsepower, battery, app/monitor, charging and few minor things which makes me prefer model 3 performance for now (there are of course some things I think polestar does better).
Then look at the new 2023 Polestar 2 refresh! It has all of those things you mentioned!
