  • Sometimes I'll see a particularly funny sketch from "A Bit of Fry & Laurie" and wonder what certain comedians, like Harry Enfield, were driving at in making disparaging remarks about the comedy successes of Oxbridge types. He is proof that there is and was plenty of room at the table for funny people. And to be honest, when I was F&L its lack of reliance on topical comedy, stock characters and catch phrases means that 30 years on, it stands up much better than a lot of what Harry has done in the last decade.
