The PC360's that I bought back in 2010 or 2011 and still use today are Open...with breatheable fabric ear cup covers and after all this time the left speaker is getting a short in it so its time to update.

The ear cushions are interchangable. If you wish to, you can apply our GSA 601 memory foam ear cushions on the GSP 500.

Low audio on the gsp 500 just got em and the audio is low asf but when i try my old headphones everything is fine, any fix someone???
Very good headphones, true, clear listening quality, bass !!! by cons comfort levels it is very disappointing, that's why I returned to the source with a good Beyerdynamic MMX 300 V2, there everything is there !!!

No its almost identical to the gsp 600 same mic same drivers. Just open back so you have better awareness and a larger sound stage. Imo its a better headset for gaming if you live somewhere you don't need to drown out background noise.
Hi ryan! While it is true that they share a lot, the drivers are not the same. It goes more into an open back headset than just opening the back :) The soundstage would not sound the way we want it if it were.

Depends on your environement. I live alone in a quiet environement and love the open one. It also keeps the head/ears cooler than a closed one.
Open for better position sound and more epic soundstage.

In a nutshell: the GSP 500 is an open, and the GSp 600 is a closed headset.

I don't really see any reason to do so. I paid 160€ and I would have to add a way to get the 7.1 on top ... Yes, I like virtual 7.1 in my Headsets xD

It is neither just stereo 2.1. If you want to get 7.1 and unlock the full potential of these you will need a gsx1000 amp from Sennheiser. It is tuned for gaming and with a open back headset will be amazing. I plan to get one in the near future and also the earcups from the gsp600.

@@HeyStepTaco I own the gsp500 now amazing headset. The gap 500 has microfiber feeling ear cups with more breathability and more sound transfer much more open and lighter the gsp600 has leather ear cups so the opposite more closed and less breathable. Before I purchased them I heard of people doing a hybrid and using the gsp600's ear cups to make the 500 more direct. I dont feel its neccesary unless you live in a loud environment because you can hear everything around you easily. I love them best purchase I made just plan to also get a soundcard/amp the power out of your PC isnt enough to truly unlock these no matter what they claim. I've used them with sennheisers own gsx1000 amp/dac it isnt much louder but the 7.1 for gaming is excellent. I use the creative ae5 sound card and it makes the headset easily 2x as loud as stock. Everything sounds crisp and worth the money.

It looks bulkish, too gaminsh. I would think it would be even better/more popular, if you made a elegant look and detachable microphone. I guess I prefer my HD598 blacks and just add-on mic then.
