    • @Pan I am very thankful for your videos! I did have a question regarding the protection that may/may not come from the Adam's Graphene Shampoo. Watching the Adam's video here (kzhead.info/sun/rbGcm7VwaGh9Zo0/bejne.html) they mention early in the video that it does provide some protection/hydrophobic properties. I was a bit confused after watching your video segment (around 24:45). Would you mind weighing in on this for me (hopefully helpful to others as well)? Thank you!

      @M340B58@M340B58 Жыл бұрын
    • Hi Dustin. I answered this many times already in the comments section. I think the marketing team of Adam's might have been confused a bit. The Adam's Graphene Shampoo doesn't add any protection or hydrophobics. It just has a higher degreasing properties meant to restore the hydrophobics of a coating. And I got that information from the head chemist who blends the Adam's products himself. I asked him that exact question in this video: kzhead.info/sun/frOBp5SarpeNeJs/bejne.html

  • Important video for those new to pH levels in soaps and understanding when to use them. For this year, two soaps I'd like to test out is Shift and Apex! In the past GSF and Adam's have been my go to soaps but I found myself using ONR way more than ever last year. The goal this year is to wake up earlier during the work week for maintenance washes. By the way Pan, Bilt Hamber Auto Wash is 24.95 USD for the 16oz bottle at The Clean Garage out of Pennsylvania.

One that I would like to see reviewed is Ethos plain car shampoo. I think it is one that has flown under the radar. It’s slickness is phenomenal, made FAB’s wedding ring fall off when he tried it. • I have used the P&S Pearl, Adam’s Graphene, and Turtle Wax. What’s stands out about each is the Pearl is super liquidity with phenomenal slickness/lubricity with wash mitt with lemon scent. Adam’s super cleaner/degreaser with a “mango-ish” scent and turtle wax great “all aroubder” great red apple scent great in foam cannon not wet but not mounds of foam (don’t like super thick foam as it takes more time to get off and messier)

  • I really appreciate comparing the costs on a per ounce basis; however, since the recommended concentrations vary so much by manufacturer, I think a more accurate price comparison would be "price per use" based on manufacturer recommended amounts. Something like bilt hammer may be more expensive but the concentration might actually make it the best value. Thanks for all you do for the detailing world!

  • Love these videos Pan. Great info, as always. I have a suggestion for maybe a better fair comparison of costs: Rather than discussing cost per oz or ml, it would be more useful to know cost per use. I know it can be calculated based on the size of the bottle as I'm a research engineer, but for someone that doesnt think that way, they may not realize it is more cost effective to buy the more expensive product, as it is less expensive per wash. Some of these will change place in value perspective due to the amount you need to use for a single use. They may cost more for a bottle, but getting far more washes from that bottle makes them a better value.

  • I think the reason Mr Pink is so popular is because it's so widely available at brick and mortar retailers, whereas almost none of the other shampoos are. The only other one I've seen in a store is Adam's. There's nothing wrong with ordering online, but a lot of people (myself included) would rather just go buy what they need than pay shipping and wait for days. I almost wish there was a B&M retailer that specialized in detailing products and had the products on a shelf.

    @cgraham6@cgraham6 Жыл бұрын
    • Agreed. For the overwhelming majority of weekend warriors who many decide same day to to whatever WITH whatever - brick & mortar still rules. The strange downside is even though most b&m have expanded their shelf space it's STILL not even close to keeping up with explosion of wretched excess...

  • PS always comes in way cheaper for me. You can routinely find a Gallon for near or under 20 usd. Plus if you buy “combo” of pearl, brake buster and bead maker .. the cost go down either further. While it’s not a foam monster, it covers well and has great dwell time. I find the cleaning power to be great (especially for maintenance washes). Lastly I find the lubricity to be excellent as well and would totally feel comfortable claying with it

There are so many great shampoos out there today it is very hard to find one that fits the bill, but this video will definitely help a lot make a decision or find something new to try. I've been using Ammo Foam for close to a decade and Boost as its additive for dealing with road salt and corrosion control. I'm definitely interested in trying out the Bilt Hamber shampoo, especially with its corrosion inhibiting properties. Always something new to try out!

  • Another Great comparison video Pan. All of my vehicles are Graphene coated and I started using the Adams Graphene Shampoo. I did notice the enhanced water beading and sheeting after washing my cars and I thought it was due to the graphene content not that it was doing a better job of removing the films. Must say I did notice a bigger change on my vehicles that are parked outside unprotected. Thanks for the information.

Also, just set up a home was station with a ryobi pw, uberflex hose, good gun and foam cannon. Had Adam's graphene shampoo, and seemed to work very nice. My carpro reset just arrived today. Is one better than the other? (I can return the carpro still) The car is only driven in nice weather, and accumulates mainly dust, that I want to take off with as little contact as possible. Also, should I pre wash with a product like Absolute?? Or pre foam with something like GSF??? Thanks for helping all of us clean car and motorcycle fanatics out here!!!

  • Great video as usual a lot of info for the diy weekend warrior. I only use tw and KCX gsf and the extra bonus with gsf is it is so easy to give it a little more umpf when needed by adding some KCX gs. And both the TW and gsf have great lubricity but the gsf is better with the foamcannon, and the TW is pretty expensive in the Netherlands for 1,4L it's well over 25euro. @rodoc93@rodoc93 Жыл бұрын
    • Yes, that's because it has a stronger degreasing power compared to traditional pH neutral shampoos that can't remove road film and grime as good, hence you are "unclogging" the coating and restoring its normal hydrophobics. I also highlighted that in a 14-month update video of the Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic coating applied to my girlfriend's vehicle in this video: kzhead.info/sun/i6t-m9mKbmmmooU/bejne.html

  • as a detailer I always wonder if it's why it's worth having waxes in shampoos to add protection because I feel it's better to use as dedicated spray on sio2 or ceramic spray wax and use as a drying aide . waxes built into shampoos normally don't last long on the paint. maybe someone needs to make a shampoo that really adds protection that lasts a few months. I use the bilt hamber soaps it works the best and I like the extreme dilution ability because I'm detailing a couple very dirty cars. I also use Chem X stars n stripes ..its a 2 step no context wash soap that knicks down 80 percent of the dirt so amazing for vehicles that aren't coated as it's can degrade coatings. you should test it

For higher ph soaps like Lift you can add apc to other shampoos and get the same result. CarPro Descale is the only soap which excels in on the acidic side of the ph scale. The soap I am going to buy is from the manufacturer who provides the best customer service. Thank you so much for taking a lot of time to do the research for this video!
